This Summer Learn From The BEST! Leave Camp Feeling Yes I Can! Every year, hundreds of K through 9th graders look forward to their Youth Dance Camp experience at Just For Kix.

Youth Camp is designed to keep dancers motivated and teach them techniques they can bring back to their hometown. Learning from multiple teachers broadens a dancer s horizons.

Dancers will leave thinking YES I CAN! Friendships are made with dancers from other communities.

The fun with theme days, zany skits and cheers, and the fun staff will be a treasured memory. Can! I Yes Yes We take pride in the overall Just For Kix Youth Camp Experience!

Stretching, warm-ups, cheers & fun announcements are integrated into schedules where dancers also learn a total of 3 new routines. There are ample breaks between classes.

We understand that what really matters is the achievement of each dancer based on their abilities, not their overall technical skill.

The camp schedule includes CHEERS, GAMES & SKITS. These provide social interaction for all dancers and staff.

It s the highlight of their summer. The dance classes are engaging and offer a wide variety of dance styles. More importantly, the overall experience is educational for young, active dancers. Youth Camp is designed to keep dancers motivated and teach them techniques they can bring back to their hometown. Learning from multiple teachers broadens a dancer s horizons. At camp, dancers will be exposed to numerous instructors, various styles of dance and techniques and will learn several dance routines. Eyes will be opened. Spirits will be lifted and motivated. Dancers will leave thinking YES I CAN! Friendships are made with dancers from other communities. There is also the chance to enter the Solo & Small Group Competition where finalists perform for a live audience on the last day! Camp days filled with exceptional dancing, organized to make sure dancers are put first. Stretching, warm-ups, cheers & fun announcements are integrated into schedules where dancers also learn a total of 3 new routines. There are ample breaks between classes. However, the camp focus is on dance technique and learning. Energized, Patient & Friendly Instructors. We understand that what really matters is the achievement of each dancer based on their abilities, not their overall technical skill. Just For Kix is known for talented camp staff that instructs our summer camps. Youth Camp instructors inspire dancers. Any amount of dancing involves a good balance of FUN! The camp schedule includes CHEERS, GAMES & SKITS. These provide social interaction for all dancers and staff. It also is an effective way for your dancer to meet new friends, be creative and engage their social skills! Dancers are divided by age group at Youth Camp. Those with a friend in a different age group may opt to stay with them! A breakdown of our age groups includes: K-1st 2nd-3rd 4th-5th 6th-7th 8th-9th (Class divisions will vary by camp size.) Affordability - one of our top priorities! Access to dance training has always been a top priority at Just For Kix. We try to maintain prices at a familyfriendly rate. Dancers receive technical instruction and a commemorative Camp T-shirt. Family, Friends & the Final Show! On the last day of Camp a free show is held. It s a time for all dancers to perform and show what they have learned. Dancers wear their CAMP T-SHIRT and any bottom including: leggings, shorts or jazz pants. Dance shoes are required, too! The camp schedules for these camps feature shorter days, have carefully planned dance routines based on basic motor skills and also will provide preschoolers with games and crafts. Your preschooler will be in good hands! At Just For Kix, children are treated with respect. Trust they will learn and grow and feel at HOME! Princess & Prince Camp will help your child learn to work in groups and take instruction from others. Engage their motor skills EARLY ON. Introducing children to rhythm and movement at an early age can help them in other developmental areas. Give them the gift of friendship! Allow your pre-schooler to make friends and learn in a social setting. Children will be motivated, feel good about their accomplishments and be recognized at camp - all important elements to build selfesteem and confidence. 5 Encouraging Dancers To Become Stronger Performers! The Solo & Small Group Competition. Dancers have the option to bring a prepared routine to camp to take center stage! It s a great opportunity to become a stronger performer. Every dancer is encouraged to participate. Rules: Interested dancers must come to camp with their routine prepared to perform to music on the first day. Solo (1) & Small Groups (2-5) dancers compete in the grade they will be going into in the next school year. (This is based on the oldest member in a small group.) No gymnastics or suggestive choreography may be used. We also require respectable music that has appropriate lyrics. Routine can be no longer than 90 seconds and cannot be Just For Kix class routine. All dancers receive medals. *The finalists are announced at the final camp show and will then perform for trophies. Dancers can compete in both Solo & Small Group categories, however there is a $12 charge; per person, per category. *In situations where there are fewer dancers, only the winner may perform.
