I think that we are all star ng to realise that this term will fly by and before we know it Christmas! Start shopping now!!! I WANT TO start the newsle er with the announcement that a er 40 years of service to Educa on, Mrs Karen Edwards has decided that it is me to do other things and spend some me pursuing other interests. She is not hanging up her chalk and whistle totally as she is more than happy to be a replacement teacher if staff are away, but re rement has beckoned and she will be able to do things that she hasn t had me for whilst working. We are very happy for Karen but at the same me are very sad that her me with us in her current role, has come to an end. Karen has worked with many students over her working journey and has had a long las ng impact. Her commitment to students, other staff and the wider community is well known and I know many of you who have known Karen for some me will miss her as well. Whilst she doesn t want a fuss, we certainly won t let her slip out at the end of the year unno ced..just don t tell her! Week 1&2 Term 4 Welcome back to all our lovely families, children and new families joining us. Hope everyone had a good break and spent some quality time together.

3 Week 1&2 Term 4 Welcome back to all our lovely families, children and new families joining us. Hope everyone had a good break and spent some quality time together. We are all geared up to jump staright into Term 4 activities. First week will be a warm up week with lots of discussions around what have the children been upto and sharing ideas. We will be collating the spring collage started in term 3 and working on the topic of pets for these two weeks, as a lot of children have watched the movie Secret life of Pets. Quick note from Manisha I would like to once again remind everyone that all children must have a sun hat to oshc as part of our Sun Smart Policy. I would also like to invite families to share their ideas and knowledge with us here at oshc. Please feel free to communicate with us verbally, via , phone call, text message or notes. We also have a communication column in our daily book for you to write in your thoughts. Thank you all for your cooperation last term. PARENTS PLEASE NOTE: It is of high importance that you cancel your child if they are NOT attending either before or after school care. If any parents have any ideas of what they would like to see happen in before and after school care, please drop in for a chat we are always looking for new ideas! Does your child do any outer school activities? If so, we would love to have some brochures to put in our community folder to help recruit any other children that are looking for outer school activities! My name is Clare Cornell and I run "CE DANCE CLUB". I am a professional dancer with over 40 years experience in jazz, tap, ballet, funk, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary and Broadway styles.

7 My name is Clare Cornell and I run "CE DANCE CLUB". I am a professional dancer with over 40 years experience in jazz, tap, ballet, funk, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary and Broadway styles. I am also a trained gymnast and have coached gymnas cs, tumble tots and acroba cs for many years. I have been teaching dance and choreographing school produc ons in various primary schools around the Knox area for the last 10 years, and I am eager to introduce my Dance Club to your school. Dancing and performing are great ways to build fitness and confidence in children, as well as making new friends and working as a team. CE DANCE CLUB has performed at many school events, including Educa on Week Open Nights, Performing Arts Nights, Grandparents Shows, School Produc ons, Christmas Concerts and various school assemblies. We have also performed at The Knox Fes val, The Oxfam Fes val and The Victorian Dancefair Compe on, where we have won the solo, duo, team and troupe events! Classes are held during lunch mes in the school hall, which makes it very convenient for parents as there is no need to drive to outside dance schools in the evenings or on weekends. The introductory price is $10.00 per 45 minute class and a term fee is required on enrolment. School uniform is worn during class and bare feet, therefore no dancing shoes or dancewear is required to be purchased. A costume is always provided to all members when performing so you will not be asked to make or purchase one at any me. Next week I will be running 2 FREE TRIAL CLASSES in the school hall for any students who are interested in joining CE Dance Club on : * MONDAY, 17th LUNCHTIME for Grades 3, 4, 5 and 6 * TUESDAY, 18th LUNCHTIME for Preps, Grades 1 and 2 If I get enough members this term I will split the groups into JUNIORS and SENIORS, and we will be performing our first rou nes at this year s Christmas Concert on Friday, 9 December.
