3 SKECHERS Friendship Walk, which started in Manhattan Beach in California in 2009, is an inspiring event that brings people together from all walks of life for a common purpose to support children with special needs and education. The USA edition of the Walk is produced by SKECHERS USA and co-produced by The Friendship Foundation. The event attracted over 13,000 participants annually and supported six education foundations over the past nine years. After nine successful editions in Manhattan, United States and subsequently, China, Malaysia, SKECHERS biggest walk is finally here in Singapore. The Singapore instalment will feature a 5km non-competitive walk that will flag off from Bay East Bridge, towards Tanjung Rhu, then towards Marina Barrage and back to Bay East Lawn. For photo enthusiasts, you will also be able to take photos against Singapore famous skyline with landmarks such as the Gardens by the Bay, Marina Bay Sands, Singapore Flyer and Sports Hub. Upon finishing, everyone can also look forward to a carnival where they can enjoy great food and drinks, engaging activities and chill at our movie theatre under the night sky!

4 CSR Initiative with Singapore Children s Society The inaugural Skechers Friendship Walk announces its Corporate Social Responsibility initiative that aims to bring friendship and family bonding to another level, by being an inclusive society and supporting underprivileged children. Skechers partners Sunbeam Children s Society, a residential home and gazetted place of safety for children who have been abused and neglected and in need of protection, or whose parents are unable to provide proper care. To contribute to the cause, the public can purchase a pair of Skechers kids shoes at a special price of $30. Skechers will absorb the remaining cost and donate the pair on the buyer's behalf. All shoes will be donated to Sunbeam Children s Society. PLEASE visit their booth at the event, where you can further help them in this great work. Funds raised will be channelled towards supporting the children and youth at Sunbeam Children s Society. CLICK HERE TO ADOPT A SHOE

GETTING THERE BY CAR/TAXI Entry to Bay East is via Tanjong Rhu Road towards Rhu Cross. The entrance into the nearest car park is on the left just before reaching under the Benjamin Shears Bridge.

5 GETTING THERE BY CAR/TAXI Entry to Bay East is via Tanjong Rhu Road towards Rhu Cross. The entrance into the nearest car park is on the left just before reaching under the Benjamin Shears Bridge. (Opposite PAssion Wave) The car park is open from 6.00am to 12.00am daily. The entrance from Marina Barrage is open 24 hours daily. BY BUS Take SBS bus no. 158 to Bay East and alight at a bus stop nearby, along Rhu Cross. BY FOOT From Bay South Garden, take a leisure 5-minute walk from Marina Barrage to Bay East Garden. BY MRT Alight at Stadium MRT CC6 (Circle Line) Walk towards Tanjong Rhu from the back of the National Indoor Stadium and cross the Tanjung Rhu Bridge. 7 SAFETY FIRST!! We believe you can never be too safe! And we hope that you will think that too! Please read through some safety points to make sure that everyone has a great event and bring home wonderful memories! 1. If you are NOT feeling well, please approach any of our medical staff onsite or along the route that can assist you. Do refrain from exerting yourself along the walk. 2. Do note that Inflatable Obstacles are OPTIONAL to complete and you may Walk around it and head for a photo opportunity station instead! 3. Please Hydrate yourself before and during the walk. There are Hydration stations along the way as well as on site. 4. This is a non-competitive event and is open to all ages. Do look out for anyone that may be slightly slower or requires assistance. In the spirit of friendship, let s encourage everyone and spur them along the way. 5. Please DO NOT bring any sharp objects on the walk and inflatables as this might cause accidents to yourself or fellow participants. 6. Kindly leave your bags at the event baggage drop so that you can freely enjoy the walk & obstacles without hindering your movement. 7. If you encounter any incidents along the way, please approach any of marshals along the way for assistance.
