THURSDAY NIGHT HEALTH July 6 & 9PM This two-part documentary examines how the medical profession is not only looking to the origins of medicine in order to move forward, by re-integrating religiously based tenets into the healing process, but also responding to contemporary research findings that support earlier accepted wisdom. July 9PM Tuesday, July 7 & 8:30PM national Independence Day celebration, kicks off our country s 241st birthday with an all-star musical extravaganza broadcast live from the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol. With 20 cameras positioned around the city, viewers are front and center for the greatest display of fireworks anywhere in the nation. REMEMBER ME According to the Alzheimer's Association, more than 15 million family members and friends provided 18.1 billion hours of unpaid care in 2015 to those with Alzheimer's and dementia. Alzheimer's is more than memory loss; it affects many generations and is the sixth leading cause of death in the United States. GOOD CARDIOVASCULAR & DIABETIC HEALTH Sundays, July 9PM Follow Tom Parfitt, played by Michael Palin, a frail and elderly Yorkshire man seemingly alone in the world whose admittance to a nursing home triggers a series of inexplicable events. On the day Tom leaves his home to move into residential care, he becomes the sole witness to a violent death. Teenage care assistant Hannah Ward and investigating police detective Rob Fairholme try to unravel the riddle of Parfitt s mysterious past as they are drawn into an eerie and dangerous world of lost love and betrayal. Sunday, July 7PM Wednesday, July 7PM Sunday, July 7PM This three-part live production is hosted by Emmy Award -winning zoologists, adventurers and brothers Chris Kratt and Martin Kratt, the creators, executive producers and stars of the hit PBS KIDS series Wild Kratts. Over three nights, Wild Alaska Live will visit several locations, including points near Juneau and the Tongass National Forest, where the team will look for black bears and bald eagles; the vast Kenai Fjords National Park, in search of orcas and humpback whales; and the wilderness of Katmai National Park, where brown bears and elusive wolves live and hunt. Wild Alaska Live will also introduce viewers to local experts who explore the relationship between Alaska s First Peoples and the animals among whom they co-exist.
