It is our pleasure to host this event, and we are honored that the Carolina Indoor Performance Association has granted us the privilege of hosting this event once again. This event is organized and presented by the Gibbs High School Band, its indoor performance units, and the Gibbs High School Band Boosters, Inc. (a 501(c) 3 charitable organization). We would like to thank all of you for your support, not only of us in this competition, but of your students in their indoor units and all their activities. Participants, parents, and supporters alike can all be proud of the hard work these young people put into their in shows. They, and we, could not do it without you. We would also like to congratulate all participants in their efforts today. No matter what the outcome may be, you can all be proud of your abilities and the effort you put in today s performance. Finally, we would like to thank our administrators for their support and willingness to release the school for our use today. 4 Carolina Indoor Performance Association is organized and administered on the principle that its leaders are professionals teaching by example both in and out of the competitive arena. CIPA s purpose is to provide the North Carolina, South Carolina, East Tennessee, and Southwest Virginia areas with a professional competitive atmosphere. GIBBS SHOW ETIQUETTE v Please save all conversations for the times between performances. Be considerate of others who want to hear the music and enjoy the performance. v Please wait until all performances have ended before entering or leaving the performance area. Movement during a performance is distracting. v Please don t utter negative or defamatory comments about any group or performers. The performers have all worked extremely hard to perform for your enjoyment. Family and friends of performers can be sitting close by as well, so respect their desire to watch the show without undesired comments. v Applaud all of the performances and show appreciation for what they have accomplished. v We encourage you to attend as many performances as possible during our show. v Please help keep our performance and spectator areas clean. Please dispose of your trash in the provided trash receptacles. v Thank you for your attendance and continued support to these performers.
