2 Table of Contents 2018 Summer Studio Trip: Perform in Hershey Park page 3 & 4 Each year Dance Dynamix members who participate in the end of year recital have the opportunity to attend an optional studio summer trip. In years past, Dance Dynamix has performed in Kings Dominion, the Carnival Cruise Line, and most recently, in New York City. This year, on June 23rd Dance Dynamix is taking over Hershey Park and we hope your dancer will participate in this family fun trip!! Join us as we become the sweetest thing to hit Hershey! Not only will your kids love the support and seeing familiar faces from the stage..you can make it a family fun trip by taking advantage of the amazing park entry rates and discount lodging. Summer Dance Days for all ages and abilities page 5 & 6 Summer Dance Days at Dance Dynamix are sure to ignite your child's creativity, boost their confidence, help them gain team-building skills in a tight community, and help them build their character in a safe, fun, professional environment. Dance Days are open to children age 5-13 yrs old. Beginner - Advanced. In each Dance Day session, students will be split into groups and instruction will be differentiated based on dancer's skill level. Each session culminates with a full length in-studio performance. With FOUR SESSIONS of Summer Dance Days, there is something for everyone! Company Summer Intensive - page 7 & 8 Company Summer Intensive is required for all Dance Dynamix Dance Company members and is open to ambitious, eager, and aspiring dancers age 6-14 yrs old Non-company dancers attending the Company Summer Intensive (CSI) should be goal oriented and have a true desire to grow as a dancer and performer. CSI culminates with live professional theatre performance. 2

3 YOUR DANCER IS INVITED TO PERFORM IN HERSHEY PARK Dance Dynamix Studio Community, Join Us For This Exciting Family Friendly Trip Dance Dynamix is taking on Hershey Park with a " Shut The Entire Park Down" kind of show. Our performance is scheduled for Saturday June 23rd at 11:00 a.m. This 2018 Summer Studio Trip is completely optional however, all our dancers Company Members & Performance Track Dancers are encouraged to attend this special event. Be Apart of the Best Studio Community - This is fun for the whole family! Take advantage of discounted ticket entry and lodging rates while enjoying some family fun and representing as you watch your studio perform in the park. To date Dance Dynamix has performed on the Carnival Cruise Line, New York City, and Kings Dominion. Last year the Dance Dynamix Dance Company and select Performance Track Dancers Smashed the stage at Kings Dominion. For the first time we re excited to open the Studio Performance Trip to everyone! Each performance trip brings the dancers educational and entertainment lessons and memories that last a lifetime. Here is the necessary information to assist you with deciding if this performance trip is a good fit for your family. Below is the tentative itinerary and four (4) package plans available along with a few other items for your consideration. Itinerary Friday June 22nd 7:30 p.m. - Arrive to Hershey Park at 7:30 p.m. 7:50 p.m. - Meet at Echo Dell Stage for walk-through and pre-show preparations. Note: any dancer not present at Echo Dell Stage at 7:50 p.m. sharp will be worked out of the performance. No Exceptions 9:00-10:00 p.m. - Enjoy the Park Saturday June 23rd 10:00 a.m. - Meet at the Echo Dell Stage 11:00-11:30 a.m. - SHOWTIME : Perform at Hershey Park 12:00 p.m - Private all you can eat catered lunch at an exclusive pavilion Enjoy the park Saturday June 24th (optional extended day) Enjoy the park 3

Space are limited!! **RSVP s must be received by March 28th at 12:00 p.m **Once we receive your RSVP we will confirm your Reservation Request and your family will receive a customized invoice **Reservation Request can only be modified ( increasing or decreasing # of tickets) through March 29th at 12:00 p.m ** A $25 per person deposit will be processed via your parent portal on March 30th **Families whose $25 per person deposit payments decline will be removed from the Hershey Park cast participant list **Payment plans splitting your total balance (less deposit) into two equal parts due april 30th and may 30th are available **All payments are non-refundable **Children 2 and under gain FREE ACCESS to the Park. **All information is tentative and subject to change based Hershey Parks policies **Participating dancers must commit to learning opening routine and finale routines via video **Participating dancers must be able to attend in person evening rehearsals the week of June 18th - 21st (exact schedule TBD) Lodging and Transportation Lodging : We re still haggling with the closest hotel to the park, but as an FYI it will be a standard suite hotel (hoping for a pull out couch) that will cost somewhere between $120 - $150/night. It will include FREE full breakfast, wifi, parking and FREE SHUTTLE TO HERSHEY PARK. We will keep you updated when the final block of rooms is reserved. Transportation - since Hershey Park is a close commute and lodging options provided have free shuttle, which will eliminate the cost of parking, it doesn t make economical sense to provide a private charter bus. Inspire your child s creativity and nurture their performer inside, with a show stopping, terrific themed dance days that build confidence and are a cool time for dancers ages 5 13 yrs old. This is an extremely personalized experience for your child to grow and thrive in their creative community. The session will explore movement inspired by the African diaspora. Traditional African dance, Modern, Contemporary, Afro Funk and Step dance styles will be taught. Session 2: SLEEPING BEAUTY BALLET Ages 5-13 yrs old Dates: July 2 nd July 13 th Cost: $270 Before Care: 6:30-8:30 $45 After Care: 4:30-6:00 $45 Note Session cost prorated due to 4 th of July closing Sleeping Beauty Ballet Party takes dancers into a magical world of enchantment and splendor. Inspired by the classical ballet, during this session, dancers will produce a full length ballet production. They ll also be inspired by popular by ballet princesses where they ll fly on a magic carpet, dive under the sea, dance the ball, and kiss the frog. Ballet, lyrical, musical theater, tap, and acting classes are included. The session includes daily arts & crafts, a swim day field trip, and concludes with an in studio performance. Session 3: BRUNO MARS HIP HOP BOOTCAMP Ages 5-13 yrs old Dates: July 16 th July 27 th Cost: $300 Before Care: 6:30-8:30 $50 After Care: 4:30-6:00 $50 Bruno Mars has dominated the year! In the Bruno Mars Hip Hop Bootcamp, boys + girls will get ready to take center stage like they are auditioning to be Bruno s back up dancer or member of his high energy band. Popular hip hop styles will be explored, but in true Bruno Mars fashion, dancers will draw from old school and classic styles of hip hop movement. These electrifying dance days are perfect for any show stopper. The session includes daily arts & crafts, a swum day field trip, and concludes with an in studio performance. Session 4: DANCE CONSERVATORY Ages 6-15 yrs old Dates: July 30 th Aug 10 th Cost: $675 Theatre Show Day - Saturday Aug 11th Before Care: 7:30-9:00 $50 After Care: 4:30-6:00 $50 Note Session cost increase due to a variety of guest instructors, premium dance classes, and theatre show. The Dance Conservatory session is suited for boys + girls who aspire to thrive from experiencing rigours dance pre-professional training. During conservatory, dancers will be exposed to a variety of guest instructors and dance days will consist of a combination of technique classes in Classical Ballet, Modern, Tap, Jazz, African, Conditioning (strength, flexibility, cardio, core, and alignment), Acro, Musical Theatre, Contemporary, Floor, Leaps, Jumps & Turns and Acting & Characterization for dancers. With classes ranging from African to Acting, students will have their creative capacity stretched to new levels of achievement. 6 Summer Dance Days: The Fine Print Age, Ability & Appropriateness: Students must be the age requirement for camp by Jan 1, At the beginning of each Dance Day Session, participants are divided into groups according to development and ability. All music, movements and activities introduced during sessions are appropriate and engaging! Discounts: Early Bird Plus - Register by March 31st - Receive $25 off each session + Your , Annual Studio Membership Fee Waived! Early Bird - Register by April 30th - Receive $25 off each session Register for 3 sessions Receive additional $20 off your total Register for 4 sessions Receive additional $50 off your total or Sibling discount Receive 10% on 2 or more kids the same household Payment Terms: To secure your spot a $75 per child, per session non-refundable deposit will be processed when registration is received. The total balance (minus deposits & discounts) will be processed on: June 1 st for session one June 18th for session two July 2nd for session three July 16th for session four Attending multiple sessions? If registering after June 1 st the entire amount will be processed when registration is received. What Does My Child Need? Session 1: Wakanda World - Clean dance sneakers and activewear. Session 2: Sleeping Beauty Ballet Party : For dance class leotard, tights and ballet shoes and tap shoes are preferred. For males, comfortable clothing should be worn. In the event you don t have dancewear, activewear is just fine. Session 3:Bruno Mars Hip Hop Boot Camp : Clean dance sneakers and activewear. Session 4: Summer Dance Conservatory: For dance classes leotard, tights, active wear, ballet shoes, tap shoes and clean sneakers are needed. For ALL SESSIONS: Students should bring an extra set of comfortable clothes to wear during the non-dance instruction portion of the day. Shorts, T-shirt, leggings and tank tops are great. Please wear sneakers!. We will provide a light morning snack. Students need to bring a good-sized healthy non-perishable, nut-free lunch, at least 32oz of water, and a separate afternoon snack. Field Trip Swim Days & Performances : Swim days are once per session at a local Pool & Splash Park and Performances are always on the last day of the session at 4:15pm. Company Summer Intensive is deliberately designed to broaden dancers movement vocabulary while reinforcing fundamentals and sound technique. CSI is required for all Dance Dynamix Dance Company members and is open to any serious dancer age 6+ who is a seeking a creative, challenging and highly connected dance environment. CSI days consist of a variety of technique classes in Classical Ballet, Modern (Horton & Dunham), Tap, Jazz, African, Conditioning (strength, flexibility, cardio, core, and alignment), Acro, Musical Theatre, Contemporary, Floor, Leaps, Jumps & Turns and acting & characterization for dancers. With classes ranging from African to acting, students will have their creative capacity stretched to new levels of achievement. CSI is a great fit for serious dancers age 8+ who are goal oriented and have an internal desire to grow. They are open to learning styles not covered by the school year curriculum and want exposure to acclaimed guest faculty. They don t shy away from going 100% and are ready to achieve a higher level of creative capacity and performance quality. Do the dancers get to perform? Yes!! All CSI dancers will perform in the Company Intensive Summer Showcase held 8/12. During the Company Intensive Summer Showcase, dancers will take the to the stage to demonstrate their learning for a live audience. Unlike our typical recitals, this showcase will feature full length pieces of choreography that tells a story and will include live demonstrations for the audience. Registration for CSI opens March 18, 2018 and there is limited space for non-company members. Admittance will be granted on a first come first served basis. When registering, for Conservatory / CSI only a $100 non-refundable deposit will be processed. Payment plans are available with equal payments less the deposit due 4/30, 5/30 and 6/30.
