Follow-up information will also be communicated in the newsletter, on the school announcements, through Twitter, etc. Below are some tentative dates to put on your calendar. PARENT MEETING: February 26 at 3pm in the SWMS gym (enter door #4). WORKOUTS: These will start March 6 and likely run on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays until Spring Break (from 6:30pm 8pm). Finalized plans will be announced at the parent meeting. PRACTICES: Spring practice will tentatively run on the same days & at the same time from April 10 May 4. Finalized plans will be announced at the parent meeting. Players will need a physical turned in to the coach in order to participate in workouts and practice. But please attend the parent meeting and notify the coaches of your involvement in Spring athletics. Stay connected with Coach Heming: REMIND HEAD COACH PHONE # HEAD COACH to jeremyheming@hillvue.com FROM THE YOUTH SERVICES CENTER Regina Powell, YSC Coordinator Regina.Powell@warren.kyschools.us VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR THE REALITY STORE: The SWMS Reality Store will be here on March 30th for all 8th grade students. This is an active, hands-on, real-life simulation which gives students a chance to explore career opportunities. Students also make lifestyle and budget choices, similar to those adults face on a daily basis. Participants assume that they are 28 years old and have an occupation. Students then draw a family situation, and it is their responsibility to be the sole provider for their family. They receive a monthly "paycheck" and make monthly payments at each of the booths set up at the Reality Store. We need multiple volunteers for this event. If you are interested in participating with us, please contact the YSC at PAPER PRODUCT DRIVE: The SWMS Leadership Students and the Youth Services Center are hosting a paper products drive to benefit the Warren County Schools Synergy Center. Donations will be collected the week of February 20. More information is found on the flyer on the next page. Contact Mrs. Powell with any questions.
