4 In order to practice each player must have: 1. Current physical on file with GHS trainer dated no earlier than 5/1/18 2. Medical History Form Completed (this was attached to the physical form) 3. All RankOne online forms filled out and completed 4. $10 catastrophic insurance paid to GHS trainer

6 Georgetown ISD is committed to providing the athletic equipment to be worn in practices and games by the district s student-athletes. However, the District does recognize the desire of parents or students to explore the option of providing their own equipment to be worn with the approval of district officials. We have guidelines that are established to provide the conditions under which equipment may be released to the school district for use by studentathletes.

7 All boys in the athletic periods are required to purchase work out gear. Including MANAGERS Online orders are processed automatically (preferred!) Please keep records of your purchases in the event we need verification of payment Payment plans available see Coach Hammack ALL orders need to be processed by Coach Hammack if you are paying by check or cash!!! When ordering online Please make sure you mark your son s FULL NAME (no nicknames please) and their IN-COMING GRADE

9 Game meals will be handed out during school before the team departure/dress out Tuesday nights are LONG without this meal after school before they play.

10 Due to our cold weather procedures All boys will need a pair of sweats (tops & bottoms) when we get back from Thanksgiving Break. For traveling purposes, all basketball and track need a pair of sweats. Please see that coach for details

14 7 th Grade Practice starts at 7:15! Door open at 6:45! Students will be given time at the end of practice to shower. WE ENCOURAGE EVERY ATHLETE TO TAKE A SHOWER AFTER WE COME OFF THE FIELD! Towels are provided each day and laundered by the coaching staff Athletic gear is laundered at school by coaches. Athletes should never bring their workout gear home! We will give the students time to eat breakfast each morning after practice. The cafeteria will be available to purchase breakfast or athletes can bring something from home. NO EARLY MORNING PRACTICE ON TUESDAY OR WEDNESDAY MORNINGS ONCE GAMES START!

15 Practice ends at 5:15 each day This means that we are walking off the field at 5:15. Showers are available but not usually used after school. Your shower at home is nicer than ours, I m sure! After school snacks are available to athletes after practice. NO AFTERNOON PRACTICE ON MONDAY OR FRIDAY ONCE GAMES START!

16 We will not cancel practice unless told by the district to do so. We will inform you immediately via Remind and . If practice is cancelled BEFORE the end of school, students will ride the bus home. Practices can be transitioned into the gym/weight room/computer lab.

23 Benold Boy s Athletics Handbook All Benold Boys sports will be using the same player handbook this year This handbook outlines expectations for our student athletes. We also follow the GISD Player Handbook This document can be found on the BMS Boy s Athletics website. Acknowledgement form for GISD was included in Rank One online paperwork Sign and turn in Benold Handbook Acknowledgement by 8/31

24 We MUST have an telling us that you are taking your athlete after the game before noon on game day. This is for our records and liability. We will have assigned seats on the bus and a sign out sheet at all games. We understand that family emergencies and other responsibilities come up but please help us in this endeavor. There are almost 100 athletes that we will be transporting each game night and we need that early documentation.
