2017 VARSITY & JV spring / summer packet
THE UNDEFEATED The ReethsPuffer Football Program is beginning a new initiative for our JV and Varsity players known as The Undefeated. The U will meet at 6:00PM on 6 different Sundays (listed below). The purpose of which will be to build team unity and embrace the high expectations of surpassing 6 wins necessary for making playoffs in Our goal, as it should be, is 100% participation. After all, high achievements always take place within the framework of high expectations. Players should be dressed in athletic gear with both cleats and tennis shoes (all workouts will be in the HS gym and Fields). SUN, 4/23 SUN, 5/21 SUN, 4/30 SUN, 5/28 SUN, 5/7 SUN, 6/4
HOW TO BE IN THE KNOW The ReethsPuffer Football staff works very hard to make the activities of the Football Program easily accessible by the community. Below you will find all the ways you can ensure that you are in the know. 4 Important FORMS 1. Emergency Info. / Parental Consent form (See next page) 2. Physical form (See next page) *The Football Program has arranged for your son to receive a free physical on Wednesday, May 31 st from 3pm 5pm at the Football Fieldhouse at the high school. *Please have forms filled out (health history and insurance portions) prior to this date to save on time. We want to get everyone in! *Return all forms to coaches
Scheduling for next school year Although not required, it is strongly recommended that studentathletes in the program follow the 4year plan for strength training that the Varsity coaches and area strength, speed, and conditioning professionals have devised for them. The 4year program has been constructed to deliberately enhance players strength, speed, and agility at every stage of their development through their high school years. The program will allow players the chance to realize their fullest physical potential to help them succeed in each of the sports they compete in. The physical benefits of being in the football class yearround go without saying, but perhaps the most important advantage they receive is the sense of family and belonging by being a part of something greater than themselves. We work very hard to include in the curriculum a deliberate attempt to sharpen the kind of character traits and work ethic that we want to see in our young men. By inviting guest speakers into the class, as well as local policeman, distinguished alumni, college coaches, and more, our young men are also able to work on their social, emotional, and leadership skills yearround. STRENGTH TRAINING FOOTBALL is how it will appear on the curriculum schedule A = 1 st Semester B = 2 nd Semester

Here are some helpful tips Pay particular attention for deadlines (camp shirts, fund raisers, key forms, etc.) 2. Arriving minimally 15 min. early to all times listed is important for being able to start on time (equipment issues, dressing the field, etc.) 3. Eating breakfast and getting up before noon is critical for performance, especially during 2adays. 4. Bringing a change of socks and under shirt for 2adays is smart, you can change at the break! 5. All equipment, except cleats, is free! We do offer padded girdles (preferred by players) for just $20 (about $20 cheaper than what you will find at a sporting goods store). 6. Please try to avoid scheduling doctor appointments during practice time if at all possible.
