3 Girls Summer Basketball Schedule Dear prospective players, Welcome to John Bapst Memorial High School. In the last few years the girls varsity basketball team has brought back the excitement and enthusiasm to the girls basketball program. We look forward to continuing our success in the future. I would like to extend an invitation for all interested freshman girls to attend our summer program. This summer we will be holding an open gym at John Bapst Memorial High School. It will be held on every Monday and Wednesday, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. starting on June 22 and ending on Wednesday, July 29. The coaches for the open gym will be Coach Whitney, Coach Williams and I. During the open gym players will be working directly with the coaching staff. I strongly encourage all girls interested in playing basketball next season to participate in the summer program. We will also be having a Girls Basketball Meet and Greet Team Mini Camp. This camp will be held at the Hampden Recreation Center on June 22 at 12 noon to 3 p.m. The registration form for the Mini Camp is enclosed. 6 Girls Summer Soccer Schedule Dear Parents and Players, I hope this finds you well. As we approach the beginning of the 2015 soccer season, I would like to take this opportunity to outline important information and news regarding the John Bapst summer soccer program for your daughter. Objective: Summer Training Program At this age group, our goal is to assist the girls in developing motivating players in the principles of technical, physical, social and psychological development. This year s summer coaches are: Jennifer Plourde(Head Coach), Jonathan Fischer(Junior Varsity Coach), Karrie O Donnell (Asst. Varsity Coach), and Courtney Benson (Asst. Coach). Player Commitment John Bapst tries to work with the all summer sports schedules to avoid or minimize conflicts. However, once the schedule for each summer has been finalized, we expect that each player makes the best effort to attend all the trainings and games. Fields & Schedule John Bapst soccer field is located on Mt. Hope Ave. (Dorthea Dix Complex). We will have a game or practice 2 times a week. See page 2 for summer soccer schedule. Communication The John Bapst school website is an important source of information. You can check the JB event calendar by visiting The primary means of communication this summer and throughout the season with be our Facebook page John Bapst Girls Soccer. If you have questions or need more information, please contact me at jennifer_lee06@hotmail.com. I am looking forward to a fun and enjoyable 2015 season. 8 Boys Summer Basketball Schedule It s that time of year again. The most crucial part of the season is now. The summer time is vital for both team and individual development. Participation in summer basketball will be more vital than in past years and many of the winter s decisions will be made during the summer. The results next year will be based on how much time this group is willing to commit to summer basketball and summer workouts. This means that the development and experience of the underclassmen is also very important. As an incoming freshman this also means that you have an excellent opportunity to play at the highest level early in your high school career. Attached is the schedule for the summer. The schedule lists our game dates at Bangor High School. These are going to be varsity level games and the varsity level players will be given the first opportunity at playing time. All summer basketball players are invited to attend these games. Also shown in the schedule are the JV League games that will be at Hermon High School this year. These are the games that the incoming freshmen and sophomores should be attending and plan on getting their on the floor experience. The other times listed on the schedule are for practice. One of the most important elements of success for our team and for you as individual are also the weight training mornings listed on the schedule. All athletes are invited to these. These are where players get better. Come to practice, work on your game and try to get better. The weight room will also be open at this time if you would like to put some time in there. If you maximize this time and work hard each day that we are not together we/you will get the results that you want next winter. Please come and join us. It s a great opportunity to develop your basketball skills, stay in shape, and meet your new classmates. Coach Rick Sinclair rsinclair@johnbapst.org Cell txt.

12 Summer Field Hockey Schedule Welcome John Bapst High School Class of 2019! As you begin your first year at John Bapst Memorial High School, you will be introduced to many new and exciting opportunities and challenges. One exciting opportunity is to participate in athletics. I invite you to challenge yourself physically, mentally, improve your leadership skills, and become involved in one of the fastest growing sports in the nation: Field Hockey! You may have been introduced to this sport at your former school, or you may be a beginner. I invite any interested players to join the team. As a second-year head coach at John Bapst, I am excited to share my passion for this game. I have coached at all levels from beginner to collegiate level field hockey for many years. The John Bapst Field Hockey program has grown tremendously through the years, and has been established as a program to be reckoned with. Last season, we were led by five amazing seniors, three of whom are going on to play at the collegiate level. We made playoffs and improved our scoring percentage by 80%. I feel this is only the beginning, and I am committed to fostering a tradition of excellence. The enclosed summer field hockey schedule is attached but please, if you have not already, contact me if you plan to attend 7v7 games. We will hold summer training sessions to prepare for our fall season. If you have never played before, this will be a great chance for you to learn basic skills, and if you are advanced, you can utilize this time to condition and work on more advanced skills. We will implement conditioning and skill work into each session. These summer sessions are inclusive with both JV and Varsity players. Assistant coach Courtney Withee and I enjoy coaching players from beginner to elite. If you are a goalkeeper, or interested in becoming one, please be sure to contact me personally so that we can arrange for goalkeeping instruction sessions. We are looking for a goalkeeper! I look forward to hearing from you and meeting you, and sharing my strong passion for field hockey with YOU!
