1 Caledonia CARE HOME A letter from the Home Manager To all at Caledonia, I just can t believe how time flies, that is us already into March and we have got so much in front of us. Annette will be arranging another night for relative s dementia training near the end of March so watch out for that. Our activity team will also be very busy. Keep a note in your diary for the 24 th of July. This will be our very first summer dance. It will be held in the Masonic club in Stevenston and the tickets will be 5. All proceeds go to our funds. We hope we will have a good attendance and a fantastic night. Best Wishes, Audrey.

2 News from Annette Clinical Services Manager Hi Folks, Welcome to I have many plans for this year in developing our staff skills and knowledge base. All through January and February I have been delivering the Mandatory Training to all our staff and planning future training days for the months ahead. We are fortunate that Graham Hart, Dementia Ambassador, is delivering the SSSC dementia framework training, skilled level, to our staff over the next few months. I will be undertaking the enhanced level as part of my own development and then offering this to our care and nursing staff. We are fortunate at Caledonia that Graham has offered his time and expertise to all our staff. I will arrange another Dementia Awareness for Relatives evening hopefully in March, so watch out on the notice board for dates. Audrey has promised wine for this, woop woop. 8 GENERAL INFORMATION The tuck shop will now be brought round the units on a trolley every 2pm for anyone wishing to purchase anything. If you have any special requests give Janice or Maggie a shout and I am sure she will do her best to get it for you. We have Claire s pampering coming in once every month Christine and Lucy (pet therapy) will be in every Wednesday when possible. The activity group are always striving to ensure that the activities we provide are tailored to suit you and we are always open to suggestions. We will place all the events on our activity board in the main foyer. Office hours will be Mon-Thur 8.00 am till 3.40pm and Fri 8.00 am till 2.30pm for payment of fees. If you require to pay fees or pay into residents cash log out with the above times you can pay the money to the nurse in charge. Remember folks we do have protected meal times in the home so if you can please refrain from visiting between the hours of pm and pm.
