6 TERM Week 4 Friday th August, COMPETITION ROUND The season is winding down, with only rounds to go until 207 (tipping at least) is done and dusted. The premiership race is still wide open, with no team standing out at the moment. I don t think many people would be surprised if we had another situation like last season, where the Bulldogs came from outside the top four to claim the ultimate prize. The Holy Family tipping competiton is also still up for grabs. The last few rounds have seen Oscar Cool Dude open up a slight lead over the rest of the competition. He sits alone at the top, with a point lead over Archie Boy Champion. Tiny Tom and Mighty5eaEagle are only point further behind, with Top Bloke rounding out the top 5 and still within striking distance. The rest of the top fifteen are all hovering around the mark. Some daring tipping could see anyone still vault into contention for the prize money, so make sure you study the formguide each week. As we have done each year, the tipping from now on will take the form of blind rounds, meaning tipsters will not be able to see other peoples picks. All will be revealed after round 2, but keep an eye on the P&F newsletter for updates! Also, a special mention must be made to all the retiring stars of 207. Watson, Mitchell, Hodge, Priddis, Boyd, the list goes on. Credit to these guys for recognising the time had come for them to hang up the boots. No use putting yourself through another season if you are simply not up to it. Perhaps there is a lesson in there for Buckleys Chance (Mr Wakeling)...? After his tipping efforts this year, who could blame him for giving it away after 207!?! Good luck to all the tipsters in the final rounds!
