Brant 4-H Annual Fund Raising ALL U CAN EAT Spaghetti Dinner Friday, October 22, 2016 See attached poster for details Please have your items to Elaine (sled1@sympatico.ca ) prior to Thursday, October 20th & specify if you wish it to be a Silent Auction Item (bids taken on a sheet of paper night of event, highest bid wins at the close of auction) and Raffle Item (sheet of tickets purchased and ticket(s) placed in container of item of hoping to win, draw before the end of the evening). If you have picked up an item from your employer, someone who has a home business, neighbour, please include a note/business card with their info so we can send them a thank you! Brant 4-H greatly appreciates your support!!! Help needed to sell tickets at the Raffle Table at the PASTA Dinner. If you can help out that evening contact Elaine at sled1@sympatico.ca All the World is a Stage 19 th Century Murder Mystery The Drama Club is presenting their Achievement in the form of a 19th Century Murder Mystery walk on Saturday, October 29, 2016 from 7:00-9:00 pm. Come out to Bethel United Church (where the hall used to be) for a short walk to hear and see the story unfold. It s a who done it and you have to determine who did it! The 4-H members will act out the scenes in an attempt to either aid or foil your decision. See if you can guess who the killer is! Afterwards, enjoy a cup of hot chocolate or hot apple cider. Donations welcome.

2 Brant County 4-H Showcase November 27, 2016 St George Arena 1-3pm The event will showcase member opportunities from the past year, quilting and knitting achievement display, drama presentation, square dance exhibition and so much more. Admission is free but donations are welcome. Refreshments will be provided. Saturday, October 22, H Ontario President's Dinner Join us at the Hanlon Convention Centre in Guelph for an evening of networking, supporting 4-H Ontario and a whole lot of fun! Come out and have dinner with 4-H Ontario President, Tammy Oswick-Kearney (OK). Enjoy dinner and dancing and a chance to win $500 or $1,000. This is an elimination dinner - last ticket drawn wins $1,000! MC for the evening: John Drummond Tickets are $75.00 and are available on-line only. 3 4-H Impact on Youth Survey: Time is running out, so visit 4-h-canada.ca/survey before September 30 to provide your valuable feedback to 4-H Canada Secretary and Cyber Reporter Award 2016: Notice to ALL 2016 Club Secretaries and Cyber Reporters - there will be an award for top secretary and cyber reporter at the Brant 4-H 2016 Awards Banquet. If you wish to enter, Secretaries, collect your completed & detailed Secretary Notes and Cyber Reporters, compile your cyber report notes (print off & clip together), and hand into the Program Manager/Elaine Elgie by November 30th. They will then be given to a judge to review and decision made of the winner, which will be announced at the Awards Banquet - January 27th, H Club Fund: The FCC 4-H Club Fund is back! Thanks to Farm Credit Canada, 4-H clubs, districts and regions across Canada can apply for grants up to $500 towards programs, exchanges and much more. Funds are limited, so apply today!

Congratulations! Collin Allardyce has earned a position on the 4-H Ontario team attending the Agribition Judging Seminar (competition) at the Canadian Western Agribition in Regina,Saskatchewan this November. PARIS FAIR Wrap up Congratulations to all 4-H members - Beef, Dairy, Photography, Poultry, Quilting & Sheep who completed their achievements at the Paris Fair! 5 It was unfortunate this year to cancel Go for the Gold Competition at the fair, as only 1 team entered. In 2017, we will see the finals of Go for the Gold Competition prior to August as Brant will be hosting the Region 4 Go for the Gold Competition in August with the potential of sending 2 teams as host association. Good Luck to all our members continuing to show at other fairs in our area, many of you working your way to the Royal!
