Fourteen teams participated at this event based on FLL s INTO ORBIT theme. The students completed a project that defined and solved a problem associated with long-term space exploration, engineered and programmed a LEGO robot to complete various FLL-designed missions, gave a presentation that showcased its understanding of robot design and programming, and demonstrated their understanding and application of FIRST Core Values (Discovery, Innovation, Impact, Inclusion, Teamwork, and Fun). They look forward to participating in the Penn FLL Regional Championship on Saturday, February 9, Please congratulate these students for their hard work and dedication. Pictured from left to right below: Emily Biggs (8 th grade), Zach Lowe (6 th grade), Jordan Plans (6 th grade), Luke Fox (6 th grade), Jada Cooper (6 th grade), Meghan Cherry (6 th grade), Olin Rubinow (7 th grade), Jefferson Cooper (8 th grade), and Cole Aubart (6 th grade, not pictured).
6 Page 6 SPORTS IN THE COUGAR S DEN! Fugett Sports for the Week of January 21st Intramural Wrestling 6 th grade intramural wrestling will begin in late January and 6 th grade basketball begins in mid-february. Students should listen for announcements about start dates and times. Students and Parents should be reminded that the expectation of a student athlete has always been that they are ambassadors of the school and represent the school when traveling to an away game. For the safety of all students and for the image that, as a school, Fugett wants to portray to others, any misbehavior on the bus or at an away game will not be tolerated and there will be consequences for poor student behavior. Fugett students have been regarded as exceptional young men and women who treat others with respect and exhibit good sportsmanship. We do not want to tarnish this image.

All permission slips can be turned into the Fugett main office, or ed to Carol Lill at clill@wcasd.net. Please submit permission slip by Jan. 29 so we can have our final count.
