Students and staff participated in theme days, class favorite elections, Homecoming pep rally, football game and ended the week with a homecoming parade on Saturday. BETA CAN FOOD DRIVE BEGINS OCTOBER 27 CMS Beta is conducting a food drive from October 27 November 7. Please bring donations to Mrs. Tomlin, Mrs. Hockenbery, Mrs. Burns, or the front office. Share what you can: canned goods, peanut butter, bags of rice, dry beans, canned meat, cornbread mix. Meet Our Teachers Monster Mash Dance Saturday, November 1 is the date for our first ever Monster Mash Dance. All middle school students should make plans to attend from 7pm - 10pm. Wear your costume! We will have door prizes, a best costume prize and a "Thriller " dance competition. Students need to get their groups together and start practicing! Students will be able to purchase a variety of food and drinks, as well as crazy pictures from a "haunted photo booth". We are still in need of pumpkins and Halloween decorations to complete our chiller of an event! Thanks to all who have contributed. Proceeds from this event will be used for future student activities. Greg Rowe is beginning his eighth year of teaching. He attended Panola College, SFASU, LeTourneau University and Full Sail University. He loves having the opportunity to share his love and knowledge of U. S. history with students. He grew up in Center and presently lives in Joaquin. Mr. Rowe has one daughter, Chloe, who lives in Wills Point. His favorite quote is You can fool some of the people, some of the time, most of the people most of the time, but you can t fool all the people all the time by Abraham Lincoln. Mr. Rowe says in a word, CMS is stupendous! April Bloys has taught at CMS for four years. She attended SFASU. She has been married for 26 years and has two children, Katie and Robert. She loves the energy of her students and loves seeing their smiles every day. Her favorite quote is, Excuse me while I kiss the sky by Jimi Hendrix. She says Center Middle School is Outstanding!

CMS Collegiate Thursdays will begin after our football season ends. Staff and students will be encouraged to wear their favorite collegiate shirts each Thursday to help us in our efforts to increase awareness of higher education.

7 7 SPIRIT FAMILY UNITES FOR HOMECOMING CMS twirlers, band, pep squad, dance team and cheerleaders performed at the Homecoming Pep Rally and game. Cheerleaders performed a competition routine in throwback uniforms. All spirit team performances were excellent. The CMS band added a special excitement to the Homecoming game. A big shout out to our awesome students for the time and effort you put forth in dedicating yourself to your teams.
