2 Welcome We have 6 exciting areas of the festival for you to explore and a huge number of things to see and do. Info & games s Pick up your festival programme here. If you need any help, head to our pink tent in this and talk to one of our team where we can answer any questions. Show Get ready to laugh with acrobatic comedy from the and puppetry and clowning in the Wonderful world of Mr E. Get there early to get a good view! You ll also find our mobile cinema here, showing films from the last 100 years in Barking and Dagenham. Dance We re a place known for our fantastic local dancers, so expect high energy and talent plus the amazing Max Calaf whose show Any Day is performed on a trampoline. Gorilla Four startlingly realistic mountain gorillas, this fully interactive act is entertaining for all ages. Learn about their lifestyle and habits, and you might even be lucky enough to get a cuddle! Music & craft Head here for indoor family arts and crafts activities, led by Art Attack presenter Lloyd Warbey, as well as great music from around the world on our Cross Keys music stage. Circus Lost in Translation will be offering free circus workshops, before performing their high flying trapeze finale show, Le Ballade de Bergerac. Sign up for the workshops in the pink info tent (in the Info & games ) from 12.30pm. Plus have fun wandering around food, drink and craft stalls run by local businesses and artists. Charm and sharp wit with acrobatic skills and just enough naughtiness to keep everyone guessing. 2.45pm 3.15pm Balloonatic - The Bonkers Balloon Show A completely off the wall, unique show filled with comedy, music, magic and lots and lots of balloons. Festijeux Bringing their gigantic wooden games over from France, and the whole family can get stuck in! 2.30pm 3.15pm Set your imagination dial to infinite in the Wonderful World of Mr E! Mr E travels through the imagination, visiting strange new lands in his converted steampunk caravan. KinoVan The KinoVan (a cinema in a van) will be here showing films from the last 100 years in Barking and Dagenham. 1.15pm 1.30pm Pulse Dance Academy Dancers between the ages of 5 and 15 will be performing street dance and hip hop. 1.30pm 1.45pm Jordan Academy School of Irish Dancing Dancers between the ages of 7 and 28, who have competed locally and nationally. 1.45pm 2pm Sinman Dance Academy A company who specialise in Chinese traditional dance & contemporary dance. 2pm 2.40pm Max Calaf Max s home is his trampoline and he welcomes you into his world - one filled with chaos, hope, isolation and above all else, joy. Any Day takes its name from the daily life of a lonely character, his bird and his trampoline as they from travel from town to town in a nomadic bubble. 3.30pm 4.15pm Another chance to catch this bonkers show, featuring comedy acrobatics and lots of laughs. 3pm 3.15pm Versatile plus Koby Turner A group of year olds will be performing plus a solo performance from Koby Turner. 3.15pm Ramo Antonio Thompson aka Ramo is a freestyle dancer from Essex. 3.30pm Evoke House of Hip Hop Aged from 9-15 they focus on styles such as Street/Hip-Hop. 3.45pm Far from the Norm Hip hop theatre collective. 1pm 4.30pm Craft workshops with Art Attack s Lloyd Warbey Make special magic wands, masks, and tiaras to take away and wear around the festival. There will also be the opportunity to meet Lloyd himself. 1.30pm 1.55pm Terence O Flaherty Irish song and guitar. 1pm 3pm Free Circus Workshops Join the Lost in Translation team to try your hand at tightwire, hula hoop, aerial hoop, juggling, and more! Sign up at the info stand in the info & games. 4.30pm 5pm Around the site Look out for all sorts of cheeky characters around the festival site, here to entertain you with songs, performance and even confetti cannons.watch out for those East End Dodgy Boys though! 1pm 1.30pm / 3pm 3.30pm / 4.15pm Galloping Cuckoos - Driftwood A group of fisherwomen roam the Dagenham coast, encouraging people to write down their worries and wishes, stoppering them up in a bottle for safekeeping. In return they ll sing you a personalised sea shanty. 1.15pm 1.45pm / 2.30pm / 3.30pm Cocoloco Students from Dagenham Park School have been working with anarchic street theatre performers Cocoloco to create a new piece of street theatre specially for DAGFEST. Expect the unexpected! Art walk Scott Walker - Up against the wall Join cartoon artist Scott Walker and follow and irresistible urge to add to a collective artwork of marvellous proportions. Close and Remote Visit the van and share your music taste! Watch out for 1pm 1.30pm / 2pm 2.30pm Bollywood Brass Band The joyous Bollywood Brass Band will be parading across the site. 2.15pm 3pm / 4.30pm 5.15pm Les Vernisseurs Happy Urban Chaos. Giant confetti cannons and joyous music will let you know that Les Vernisseurs are on the move. They ll be parading around the festival site shooting colourful streamers and bursts of confetti into the air. The big finale: 5.15pm 6pm 1.30pm 2.15pm / 3.30pm 4.15pm Balloonatic These talented ladies will whip up amazing balloon creations for you to take away. 1.45pm 2.15pm / 3pm 3.30pm / 4pm pm Fair Play - Dodgy Boys Ron and Don are the Dodgy Boys, who can supply anything at the right price. Whatever you re after, have a chat with the lads - they ll get you sorted. Lost in Translation La Ballade de Bergerac Galloping Cuckoos Dagenham Parish Church Open from 1.30pm to 5pm, all are welcome. There will be crafts for children centred around sheep. 1.30pm, 3.00pm & 4.30pm Talks and Walks in the church and churchyard Interested in old Dagenham history? Discover some interesting facts and test your knowledge. In the circus Inspired by early science fiction, this show brings together spectacular aerial techniques and a steampunk inspired mechanical set to create big cinematic imagery and a distinctively wacky world. This spectacular show takes place in the sky on a flying trapeze and tells the story of Monsieur de La Luna, a wildly imaginative poet and inventor as he travels to the moon.
