2 THE CONSERVATORY PROGAM The Conservatory Program is designed for the serious ballet student. The program will help each dancer reach their highest potential, while giving them the skills to succeed in a professional or higher education environment. Acceptance is by audition only. 5 JAZZ THEATRE ILLINOIS AUDITIONS A word from the Directors: In the 6 years that Jazz Theatre of Illinois has existed we have built a well respected reputation not only in our area, but also in the professional dance community at large. We credit our growth and reputation to our dancer s work ethic, level of professionalism in rehearsals, technical dance ability, and commitment to excellence. Our dancers are role models in and out of the classroom and are constantly working to improve their technical skills and performance abilities. We are honored to work with such a talented and dedicated group of dancers. Last year JTI stepped into the international arena of YAGP and placed Top 6 in Chicago. This was an amazing experience for everyone. The dancers truly shined and are ready to go back next year! We encourage any young artist with a love for dance and performing to audition for Jazz Theatre of Illinois. It is a wonderful company and a fantastic experience! 7 SUMMER HIP HOP CREW A fun and inspiring way to up your Hip Hop skills and understanding! WEDNESDAYS 8:00-9:00PM June 19-July 24 Ages 10+ $110 The Crew was created to give our Hip Hop students more performance opportunities and a chance to work in a rehearsal setting. Participants will rehearse for 6 weeks with Eilleen Mallary of Culture Shock Chicago, and perform at our end of summer performance. 8 SUMMER DANCE WORKSHOP JULY 8-JULY 26 This multi-discipline program will build confidence, performance quality, and technique in a fun and encouraging environment. Dancers will study Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Contemporary, and Hip Hop. A two or three week option is available, and the workshop ends with a stage performance.
