2 Young Collins - Bledington Once to yourself, face up with sticks crossed; begin moving with jump and clash on bar 8. Foot up and down, hook leg out, turning to face across for clash before starting down Chorus Half Gip (forward into a single line in center of set) Chorus Whole Gip (two double steps to go CW 3/4 around partner [at this point partners are facing each other, up and down the line], then hook-leg into original places; repeat going CCW 3/4 around partner for the second half) Chorus Half Rounds (move round 3 places, reform the set and clash with partner on bar 4) Chorus Chorus: Tap (dib) butts 3 times on the ground, tap butts 3 times with partner (all forehand), tap (dib) butts 3 times on the ground again, then tap tips 3 times with partner (all forehand) Half Hey Repeat sticking and half hey to original places.
3 Highland Mary Bampton Figures are the same as for Bonny Green Garters. Chorus: Face up. Side step left, then side step right. Half hey. Face down. Side step left, then side step right. Half hey back to place.
4 South Australia Adderbury Walk around singing: Hold stick horizontal, both hands on the stick. Try to align your stick with your opposite s as you walk around. This move mimics turning a capstan to raise or lower the anchor on a ship. On the last four counts, break the formation and do 4 plain capers facing up to form the set. Words: In South Australia I was born, heave away, haul away. In South Australia, round Cape Horn and we re bound for South Australia Figures: Foot up and up; Half Gip (to a single line); Processional Down; Processional Up; Hands Round; Adderbury (Country Dance) hey Chorus: Count 1, apprentices present stick horizontally. Count 2, masters strike. Counts 3 and 4, reverse, with the master presenting and the apprentice striking. Counts 5 and 6, high stick with partner, first forehand then backhand. Count 7, rotate your stick over your own head (CCW direction). Count 8, clash with partner (FH). Counts 1 4, move down the set while facing across, mimicking pulling on ropes. Counts 5 8, all face up and move back up the set with four plain capers. Sing during the last chorus: Haul away you rolling kings, heave away, haul away. Haul away you ll hear me sing and we re bound for South Australia.
5 Lollipop Man Ducklington OY. FU;FD. Chorus. HR. Chorus. HR. Chorus. WH (improper). Chorus: First corner (1 and 6) face each other and dance short sidestep left and right. Two half-capers, the first one without any forward travel if possible, moving forward to meet on the second. Land the second half-caper with feet together, coming face-to-face with your opposite corner, and feint left on the anacrusis. Two double steps to cross over, passing right-shoulder-to-right-shoulder. Galley left to face your opposite corner, two plain capers. At the same time as the first corner dance their plain capers, second corner (2 and 5) come in with two plain capers, then perform the same steps as first corner. Repeat for third corner. At the same time as the third corner dance the plain capers, all the other dancers come in with two plain capers leading into the next figure.
