The start of this semester has been pretty smooth as we welcomed new members into our community. We are fast approaching our Quarter 3 exams and the addition of some more students after Spring Break. It is important that everyone keep pushing to the end of the quarter and finish strong in all of our classes. This time of year usually means testing season. We will continue to limit our time out of class by administering the majority of all tests on one day, April 10th. Remember that all PCA students make a commitment when they enroll to take all tests and do their best as our entire community is evaluated in this process. As always please remember that we must work as a community for the success of all of our students. Please contact us with any questions or concerns. 5 PAGE 5 Recipe Summertime Hamburgers By Josie Garcia This Yummy recipe will be super helpful on a sunny, hot day! What you will need: 1 1/2 pounds ground beef 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder 3/4 teaspoon ground cumin 3/4 teaspoon oregano 1/4 cup Cholula Original Hot Sauce, or more to taste 1 tablespoon butter and 1 tablespoon vegetable oil (for grilling burgers) 4 hamburger buns Directions: 1. Mix all ingredients and gently pat into thick patties. 2. Grill the burgers for 2 minutes on each side over high heat, then move them to a lower-heat area of the grill. Cook another 2-3 minutes for medium-rare burgers, 3-4 minutes for medium or 5-6 minutes for well-done. 3. Serve on a warm bun with your favorite toppings.

7 PAGE 7 Super Bowl 2018 On February 4th, 2018 Super Bowl 48 was played in Minneapolis Minnesota, Philadelphia Eagles vs the New England Patriots. This was a very good game with some major defense and good plays over all. Eagles quarterback Nick Fowles who completed 28 of 43 pass attempts for 373 yards and three touchdowns with one interception, and caught a one-yard touchdown pass, was named Super Bowl MVP. The Eagles ended up winning their first Super Bowl in History with a score of 41-33! This was a great game and amazing victory for the Philadelphia Eagles!

The novel is about a post-apocalyptic world based in Chicago. The society is split up into five factions, Abnegation, Amity, Erudite, Candor, and Dauntless. The book follows the main character, Beatrice Prior as she explores her identity and her struggle in choosing which faction she truly belongs in when she finds out about her dangerous divergence. Which means that she had results for more than one faction when taking her faction test at school. The book shows you her struggles and adventures in trying to hide her divergence from everyone. This novel will pull you in and you won t want to put it down.
