2 Ovations Dance Studio 2018/2019 Schedule as of 7/14/18 subject to change (attach to reg. form) Creative Classes: Ages 2-4 (45 minutes) Dancers are introduced to beginner ballet technique through creative movement followed by 15 minutes of beginner tumbling. The use of props and visual learning tools add a fun and exciting learning method for this class. Creative 2+3 (3 by May 31, 2019) Tuesdays 4:00-4:45 Show 2 dancer: Creative 3+4 (4 by May 31, 2019) Mondays 5:30-6:15 Show 1 dancer: Combo Classes: Ages 4-5 and 5-7 (1 hour) Combo 4+5 includes 1/2 hr. ballet basics and a 1/2 hr. of tap basics. Combo 5-7 includes a 1/2 hr. of ballet review integrated with jazz basics as well as a 1/2hr of tap. Combo class dancers perform 2 routines in the spring show. This year there is an option to add on a 30 minute acro class after the Combo 4+5 class. This Acro class will not perform a routine in the recital. Both combo class will be divided between both shows. Dancers are placed in the appropriate level by technique and skill, not by age. Each level has a prerequisite of skills needed to enroll and follows a structured skill curriculum. Although ballet is highly recommended for all Jazz and Acrobatic students, ballet is required for all dancers enrolled in Acrobatics Level 4 and higher and/or Jazz Intermediate and higher. Please the studio to verify dancer s level or to discuss placement. *Ballet class required Acro: (Our youngest acro classes are by grade level. 4 Modern/Contemporary: (1 hour class) Modern & Contemporary dance are styles of dancing that is not as restricted as classical ballet. The movements are expressive of feelings and require a solid ballet background. All dancers enrolled in a Modern/Contemporary class must take a Ballet & Jazz. Those in Modern Advanced must also take a Fitness class. Payment Period: The total tuition cost has been divided evenly into three payments called trimester payments due Aug, Nov., & Feb, regardless of the amount of weeks in each particular trimester. Those students continuing into the 2nd trimester (Dec. - Feb.) are contracted to pay the 3rd trimester tuition payment whether or not the dancer continues through into the 3rd trimester (March - May) as we can no longer fill the spot due to how far into the dance curriculum the class is at that point of the year. Late Charge: If your payment is received after the 9th of the month due, you will be charged a $10 late fee. If tuition is not received by the end of the month that tuition is due, the dancer will not be permitted to enter the classroom and the class spot may go to the next person on the waiting list. Returned Checks: There is a $25 fee on all returned checks. Costumes: If your dancer is not participating in the spring show or is opting out of performing with a particular class, and a No Recital card is not submitted by the cut off date, you will be responsible for the full cost of the costume(s), regardless of whether a costume has been paid for or not. Drop-out Policy: In the event that a dancer decides not to continue in any class, you will be held responsible for contacting the office to notify Ovations of the change in enrollment. In the event that a student misses three or more consecutive classes, Ovations Dance Studio reserves the right to fill that dance spot without refund. If this occurs after the 2nd trimester, you will be responsible for the rest of that trimester as well as the thirs trimester. (See 2nd bullet above) Outstanding Balances: Any outstanding balances are subject to being reported to a collection agency. Default: Should there be a default made on any payment, the student will not be permitted to participate in class activities nor enter the class environment. Refunds: There are no refunds for tuition, costume deposits or balances, and registration fees once paid. Please obey signs and traffic laws. The parking lot across from the Manor is public parking as well as the empty lot on Woodland Terr. Please use either of these lots. DO NOT PARK IN THE DAYCARE PARKING LOT! Please read signs and obey them! DO NOT DOUBLE PARK OR DROP OFF YOUR KID NEXT TO PARKED CARS. THIS IS ILLEGAL AND VERY DANGEROUS! As soon as your child is with the instructor, you are free to leave or you may wait in the waiting room. We do ask that young children be picked up in the lobby. Older students are permitted to wait INSIDE by the door to watch for their ride. Please do not let siblings play in empty classrooms. No one may go on any tumbling equipment without the instructor s permission and presence. Please do not hang on the ballet bars. Medical Limitations: The office must be made aware in writing if your child has any special needs or conditions including medications, allergies, or asthma. Dress Code: The regulations of proper classroom attire have been read and are understood.
