1 Rhonda Whiting Chair Montana Bruce A. Measure Montana James A. Yost Idaho W. Bill Booth Idaho Bill Bradbury Vice-Chair Oregon Henry Lorenzen Oregon Tom Karier Washington Phil Rockefeller Washington October 25, 2012 MEMORANDUM TO: FROM: SUBJECT: Fish and Wildlife Committee Lynn Palensky, Program Development Manager Update on At the October meeting staff briefed the Committee and Council on the upcoming Geographic Review -- both on the portfolio of 89 projects and schedule (see attachments). See the official list in cbfish.org at Projects included in this review are the habitat-based projects in the anadromous areas of the basin, most of which have a FCRPS BiOp RPA association, and many of which are included in a Fish Accord. The draft schedule has the Council beginning the review in December 2012 and ending with Council recommendations in the fall/winter of Our next step is to send an early notification on November 1 st that will alert sponsors to the official review announcement in December. At our staff retreat in October, we spent some time discussing particular components of the review process which we will share with the committee. One of the topics was how to relate the habitat work with artificial production activities within the same subbasin or watershed. To the extent possible, we will encourage sponsors to plan and present their priority work together through project presentations and site visits. We look forward to hearing thoughts from the Committee Members. 851 S.W. Sixth Avenue, Suite 1100 Steve Crow Portland, Oregon Executive Director Fax:
