2 OVDBC Special Event / Tournament Schedule Club Championships: Each regularly scheduled weekly game is entitled to four club championship sessions per year. Therefore, ours will be scheduled during the last week of March, June, September and the week of December 5, Club Membership: Interclub Games: STACs: January 2016 March 2016 April 2016 Only Life Members and paid ACBL members are entitled to win master points in these games. Games must be held during regularly sanctioned sessions, and a club may hold as many membership games per year as it has sanctioned sessions. Your players face-to-face play with the perk of across-the-field scoring through the Internet to determine overall rankings at all clubs that participate on the same date. There are 24 available dates as scheduled by the ACBL. Cost, $1 extra, and clubs must register at least 7 days prior to the game date. Sectional Tournaments at Clubs allows players to earn Silver points by competing against other participating clubs, outside of Sectional Tournaments. Therefore, we will be participating in only one STAC our Unit 192 STAC December 12 18, All sanctioned club sessions in January may be held as Junior Fund Games, and for $1 extra, players may earn 50% more black points. Junior Fund Games cannot be held during the months of April, May and September. Saturday, February 6, 2016 at, ACBL-wide International Fund Game #1. In order to be eligible, we must sign up one month in advance, and agree to pay $2 extra per person. Monday, March 7 th, ACBL-wide Senior Pairs game, that is, if both you and your partner are born prior to January 1, Since a special sanction is required, we can opt to play in the morning instead of the afternoon All sanctioned club sessions may be held as Charity Games during April for a fee of $1 extra per person. Remember, 50% extra points are available to those clubs who wish to participate.

3 Games support the ACBL Charity Foundation and Canadian Bridge Federation Charitable Fund or may support local charities. ACBL-wide Charity Game, 9:00am, April 14 th, 2016 complete with hand records and oodles of master point for those who qualify. Registering one month in advance and a surcharge of $2 per person are required. Helen Shields Canadian Rookie-Master Game, Thursday, April 21 st at. More information will be provided closer to the game date. May 2016 June 2016 All sanctioned club sessions may be held as Grass Roots FUNd games during May for a fee of $1 extra per person. Remember, 50% extra points are available to those clubs who wish to participate. Funds raised will be returned annually to the individual district in which those funds were raised to help fund Grand National Teams and North American Pairs. World Wide Bridge Contest - Friday, June 3 at 19:00 and Saturday, June 4 at two separate events, levying a surcharge of $3 per person, or $12 per table. We may choose to participate in these events, but we need to register at least one month in advance. However, competing against the World and winning? PRICELESS! Canada Olympiad Fund Game Tuesday, June 14 th, 2016 at. A special game to support Canadian teams in international events and, as always, a surcharge of $2 per person requiring advanced registration. June 1 st August 31 st North American Pairs (NAP). A highly prestigious grass roots event, the North American Pairs starts at the club level in June, July and August. Club-level qualifications may be earned at any club in any unit in any district. A player may qualify as often as desired and with as many different partners as desired. Unit-level qualifiers are optional and held after Sept. 1 and before the district final, which may be held after the unit final until the third week in January. At the district final, both players must have qualified at the club level and must be members of the parent district. And, as always, a $1 surcharge accompanies these events. Final: Spring 2017

4 July 2016 September 2016 G.N.T. October 2016 Thursday, July 14 th, 2016 at, ACBL-wide International Fund Game #2. In order to be eligible, we must sign up one month in advance, and agree to pay $2 extra per person. And as always, hand records with analysis will be provided. International Fund Month - All sanctioned club sessions in September may be held as International Fund Club Games to support North American participation in international events. International Fund Games cannot be held during the months of January, April and May. And, as always, don t forget the $1 surcharge. Beginning September 1 st, The Grand National Teams (qualifying dates set by district), this event begins at the club level and continues through district qualifying events held as late as June prior to the finals in Jane Johnson Appreciation Month Clubs may hold one Club Appreciation Pair and one Club Appreciation Team game per sanctioned session AT NO EXTRA COST. Also, any Team Games receive 5% GOLD points to a maximum of 0.25 points per player. Canada Olympiad Fund Game Monday, October 3 rd at 19:00. For an extra $2 per person, come and compete across Canada for gobs of master points, complete with hand records and analysis. If we wish to participate, we must register at least one month ahead. ACBL-Wide Instant Gold Point Game Friday, October 14 th at. One (1.00) Gold point will be awarded to each section top in each participating Club. However, there is a $3 surcharge per person, and we must register at least one month ahead of game time, with hand records and analysis provided. Erin Berry Canadian Rookie-Master Game Tuesday, October 18 th. Hand records and analysis will be provided, and the club must sign up one month ahead of time. November 2016 ABCL-wide Charity Game Tuesday, November 22 nd at 19:00. This game must be registered at least one month before game time, and levies a surcharge of $2 per person. Hand records and analysis will be provided.

5 December 2016 ACBL-Wide International Fund Game #3 Wednesday, December 21 at 19:00. If we wish to participate in this event, we need to register as a club at least one month before the game date, and we must agree to pay an extra $2 per person.
