1 Welcome to the Five Ponds Golf Association (5PGA)! The 5PGA has been has been restructured to provide you with a full season schedule of amateur golf tournaments that we hope you will find both both fun and competitive. We look forward to continuing the tradition of great golf and providing the best playing conditions throughout the season to our association members. New for 2018, we have expanded the playing opportunities and updated the schedule to help spread out the matches to offer you the best opportunity to participate. In addition to being eligible to play in our newly added Spirit Golf Championship, we offer in-house tournaments exclusively for our 5PGA members. Also, you can enjoy our recently started Open events at Five Ponds. All 5PGA members may register to compete on one of our three Golf Association of Philadelphia (GAP) teams. 3 Individual Event Sign-Up and Qualifying (Valid for Most Events) $65 per Event includes Greens Fees, Cart, $10 Skins optional Pins will remain in the same location for Saturday and Sunday Qualifying rounds. For 2-Day Events, Players will be paired for their second round based on their first round score. Players ages qualify for our Senior Division and will play Green tees (Select Events) Players ages 65+ qualify for our Super Senior Division and will play the Gold tees (Select Events) Signup sheets will be posted in the golf shop and sent electronically for registration 30 days before the qualifying date. Call the Golf Shop for qualifying tee times. Tee times will be set by Wednesday evening. A block of times will be made available after the preferred times. Preferred players will be allowed to qualify during their normal times with an attested scorecard. Participate in the GAP Interclub teams (3 teams of 12 players each).

4 2018 Schedule of Events: (Please see 5PGA bulletin board in Golf Shop for all event details) Friday Matches 1st and 3rd Fridays each month starting April 6th we will be hosting an 18-hole friendly wager matches open to all 5PGA members. Tee times start at 1:00pm.The cost for Five Ponds Golf Association members is a discounted greens fee with cart for $40.00 per player. The skins game will be an additional $10 per player. Better Ball of Partners Championship 100% Handicap Net Match Play Event (Blind Draw to determine seeding) 16 team maximum 1st Match Deadline: Sunday, May 13th 2nd Match Deadline: Sunday, May 27th 3rd Match Deadline: Sunday, June 6th Championship Match Sunday, June 24th Five Ponds Stroke Play Championship Saturday, June 9th & Sunday, June 10th 100 % handicap event The Stroke Play Championship will be a 2-day event with Gross and Net division winners. Over the two days, competitors play 36 holes of stroke play. On Saturday, players may play with fellow competitors at any time. However, Sunday's round pairings will be based on first round scores. President s Cup 100% Handicap Net Match Play Event (Blind Draw to determine seeding) 1st Match Deadline: Sunday, July 1st 2nd Match Deadline: Sunday, July 15th 3rd Match Deadline: Sunday, July 29th Championship Match Sunday, August 12th

5 2018 Schedule of Events: (Please see 5PGA bulletin board in Golf Shop for all event details) Club Championships Gross Match Play (Seeding contingent on # of entries) Multiple Flights 1st Match Deadline: Sunday, August 5th 2nd Match Deadline: Sunday, August 19th 3rd Match Deadline; Sunday, September 2nd 36-Hole Final Match Sunday, September 16th Patriot Golf Day Stroke Play Event Monday, September 3rd 18-Hole Stroke Play Event Gross Division Net Division Five Ponds teams up with the Folds of Honor Foundation to help the families of fallen soldiers. A portion of the proceeds from this day will be donated to this charity. With the use of our Gallus Golf App, competitors may play at any time throughout the day(with an attested scorecard) and keep hole by hole score on the app. Players will have the ability to track a Live Leaderboard and will know the results by the end of the day. Senior Club Championship Stroke Play Event Saturday, September 22rd & Sunday, Septemebr 23rd 2-Day, 36-Hole Event Senior - Ages 55 to 64 (White Tees) Super Senior - Ages 65+ (Gold Tees) On Saturday, players may play with fellow competitors anytime, however for Sunday s round, Players will be paired based on their first round score. Closing Fall Scramble & Awards Banquet Saturday, October 27th The Championship will be a 27-Hole event, with two teams playing against each other in a Ryder Cup Format. The format will be comprised of Better Ball of Partners, Scramble and Modified Alternate Shot. A team seeding party will be held on Friday, October 27th, at 7:00PM following the Friday Matches.
