As Bowie State University s largest fundraiser in support of the Department of Athletics, proceeds from the tournament will provide scholarship funding for student-athletes and support the growing needs of the department. 3 Bowie State University Athletics continues to move in a positive direction, developing our student-athletes with a sense of urgency through academic success, social enhancement and quality athletic participation. During the academic year, our athletic programs continued to shine on the field of competition with outstanding performances in several sports. The football team competed in their second straight CIAA football championship; the men s basketball team captured the CIAA championship and earned a NCAA playoff appearance; and our bowling team earned their 7 th CIAA championship. Victories are finite while success is eternal. BSU athletics seeks success in all three phases of our mission. Together we can create victories that are successful through the sustainable confluence of efforts. To achieve sustainable success, we seek your support of our 6 th annual Bulldog Golf Classic as a sponsor and golfer. Once again we will tee off at the beautiful Woodmore Country Club with an exciting day of golf and comradery among friends. In addition to an outstanding day of golf, BSU s tennis coach, Paul Brown, will host a tennis clinic and tournament. The funds raised throughout last year helped BSU athletics purchase a much needed PA system for the football field; provided scholarship funding for student-athletes; and assisted with programs for the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. As we continue to improve our infrastructure, we have strategic needs moving forward. Every dollar raised will be allocated with great purpose to ensure the greatest return on your generosity. 7 Jerry Sherman is the COO of IVisioNET, a result driven Cyber Security technical services company. An industry veteran, he is a recognized leader and change agent in the information technology industry. His passion for service has extended to numerous community services organizations and has served in a variety of leadership capacities with youth, non-profit and social organizations. A proud alumnus of Bowie State University, Mr. Delattiboudere received a bachelor s degree in Applied Mathematics and a master s degree in Management Information Technology from BSU.
