10 Greek Olympic Games Saturday, November 4th, :00pm 03:00pm University Yard All Greek Olympic Games are played in a bracket, earning teams either 1st, 2nd or 3rd places only Corn Hole Participation Rules Teams will consist of 2 individuals per Greek Week Team Individuals on the Corn Hole Team must be from different chapters Play Rules Corn Hole will be a single elimination tournament. Matches are best out of one (1) game. Boards will be placed approximately 27 feet away from each other Players from the same team stand opposite of each other next to the corn hole boards Players take turns, by alternating by team, tossing their color bag onto the opposite board The team who scored highest from the previous Round will pitch/throw first in the next Round. If there were no points in the previous Round, the Team who pitched/threw second (last) in the previous Round will pitch/throw first in the next Round. Players must remain within 2 feet of the board on either side, without passing in front of or behind the board during the pitch/throw. The opponent, while not pitching/throwing, must stand behind the board of the player who is pitching. If both players use the same side for pitching/throwing, the player not pitching must stand clear of the one who is pitching/throwing Teams will alternate to pitch/throw their four bags. A Round will be defined as both teams have pitched/thrown their four bags Both Teams must pitch/throw all four bags for their team All pitches/throws must be underhand A player may pitch/throw a bag from either side of the board, but must stay on that side for that specific Round. Scoring Rules Game will be played until one team reaches 11 points, without going over. The winning team does not need to win by two points and matches are only played once (i.e. no best out of ). 9

11 If Teams are tied at 11 points, play will continue until one team achieves a higher score at the end of the Round Getting a bag into the hole earns the team 3 points Getting a bag on the board earns the team 1 point. For a point to be earned, the bag must not be touching the ground or any other portion of the playing field. If the bag touches the ground before coming to rest on the board, it will not count/not be played and must be removed from the board before another bag is pitched/thrown A bag that does not rest on the board or is not thrown in the hole, will not be counted as any points At the end of the Round, when Teams have thrown all four bags, points will be calculated. The total score of the team with the lower number of points is subtracted from the total score of the team with the higher number of points this is the score for that specific Round. For example, Team A had one bag in the hole and one bag on the board for a total of 4 points. Team B had two bags on the board for a total of 2 points. Since Team B has the lower score, their score is subtracted from Team A: 4 points minus 2 points = 2 points for Team A, whereas Team B will receive 0 points for the Round. Each Round will be calculated this way and will be added to the scores from the previous Round. In this manner, bags in the hole and on the board from each team are cancelled out and only non-cancelled bags are counted in the score, i.e. the points offset for each Round Relay Race 5 different individuals total Participation Rules All obstacles must have different individuals per Greek Week Team (i.e. individuals cannot participate in more than one obstacle in the Relay Race) 3 legged race 2 individuals from each team, and must be from different chapters Teams must have all feet on the ground at all times Players must not pick their partner up Wheelbarrow 2 individuals 1 individual is standing holding their partner s ankles, 1 individual has their hands on the ground while the ankles are being held by their partner Team members must be from different chapters 10

12 If the team s feet fall onto the ground at any time, they must stop where they are and reposition before moving forward If the team s legs/feet come apart at any time, they must stop where they are and reposition before moving forward Dizzy Bat Egg Relay 1 individual Player must run to the other side of the starting point, pick up their bat, place their forehead at the end of the bat and turn 10 times in a circle. Bat must be on the ground at all times. After turning 10 times, player will pick up plastic spoon and place plastic egg onto of the spoon and walk back to the starting point. If the egg drops from the spoon, player must pick it up and go back to the dizzy bat (without redoing dizzy bat), and continue until the player reaches the starting point. Play Rules Cones, both starting and ending points, are placed 30 feet apart from each other First team to complete all three relay s in the quickest time will win Relay will be played in a bracket system, with single elimination. This bracket system indicates the winning Team will be playing more than once and will not be allowed to leave the playing field because they will be relaying against another team, until a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd winners are announced Tug of War Participation Rules Team must consist of 6 players 3 women and 3 men and must be from at least two different chapters Play Rules Cones will be placed 26 feet away from each other, with a cone in the middle The rope will have a red handkerchief tied in the middle of the rope 13 feet away from each cone When whistled to start, Teams will tug the rope until the handkerchief is completely beyond the cone on their side Tug of War will be played in a bracket system, with single elimination.
