CLUB HOURS (a) (b) (c) The hours for the use of specific areas of the Club premises for the purpose of F&B, Social, Swimming, Sports and other recreational activities shall be determined by the Management Committee. The hours during which such activities are permitted shall be posted on the Club Notice Boards. These times are subject to variations approved by the Management Committee. Notice of such variations shall be binding on all members when posted on the Club Notice Boards. 2. F&B, SOCIAL, SPORTS, SWIMMING & OTHER RECREATIONAL FACILITIES (a) (b) (c) (d) The Rules and Regulations governing the use of all F&B, Social, Sports, Swimming and other recreational facilities including the Operation Hours shall be posted on the Club Notice Boards and made available at the Club s Reception Counter. The areas where such services are made available shall be determined by the Management Committee. Except as may be authorized by the Management Committee, only food and drinks purchased from the Club may be consumed on the Club premises. All members/guests shall be required to comply with the dress code specified in each F&B, Social, Sports, Swimming and all other Club facilities. Failing which such members/guests may be refused admission or use or enjoyment of such facilities at Management s discretion. 3. CLUB HOUSE (a) (b) Children under the age of 7 years using Level two and above of the Club building must be accompanied by an adult member at all times except when participating in organized activities as approved by the Management Committee from time to time. Members and guests including children are not permitted whilst attired in swimwear to enter the Club building except the changing rooms as designated. 4(a). D TANJONG (i) Operating Hours Mondays to Thursdays 2.00pm to 12.00am Fridays to Saturdays & Eve of Public Holidays 2.00pm to 1.00am Sundays and Public Holidays 12.00pm to 12.00am 1

5 (ii) Dress Code (Smart Casual Wear) Members and Guest must be properly attired to enter D Tanjong. 1. Members and their guests may not be dressed in any of the following attire at any time:- (a) Swimwear (b) Attire generally used for running, gym, physical fitness and martial arts activities (c) Dirty, grubby, unkempt or sweaty attire (d) Sandals without strap, flip flops and slippers (except Ladies sandals/slippers worn by females) 2. After 8.00pm, Members and their guests are to observe the following dress code:- Men (a) Shirt (including Polo Tees and T-Shirts) with sleeves (both half or full) (b) Slacks or jeans (c) Closed footwear (toes and heel must be covered) or sandals with strap and sports shoes. (d) Customary Costume Ladies (a) Blouse (sleeveless or with sleeves), Polo Tees and T-Shirts with sleeves (both half or full) (b) Capris, Slacks, Skirts, Bermudas, Chinos, Jeans, Skorts and Culottes (c) Closed footwear, Ladies sandals/slippers and sports shoes (d) Customary Costume If any objection is made to the dressing of any Member or Guests, the Duty Manager shall determine whether such dressing is appropriate. If deemed to be inappropriate, the Member shall be refused entry and the Duty Manager s decision shall prevail. However the Member may appeal against the decision of the Duty Manager to the GM whose decision shall be final. (iii) Others 1. Persons below the age of 18 are not allowed in the Bar. 2. No games of any sort will be permitted in the Bar, except those approved by the Management Committee from time to time. 3. No reservations of tables are allowed. 4. Members and guests can only consume food and drinks served in the Lounge. 5. Decorum and propriety shall be maintained at all times. 6. Smoking is strictly prohibited. 7. Mobile phones and pagers shall be switched to silent mode. 2

6 8. A cover charge will be levied for each guest seated in the D Tanjong or 4(b). D SPORTS patronizing the D Tanjong lounge from 8.00pm onwards on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays and from 6.30pm onwards on Sundays as follows:- i. $20.00 on Wednesday & Sunday nights ii. $25.00 on Friday & Saturday nights The cover charge is inclusive of two standard drinks (House pour wines, liquours, beer on tap and non-alcoholic drinks). The $5.00 per guest entrance fee levied under Bye-Law 21(a)(i) can be used to offset in part the D Tanjong cover charge. (i) Operating Hours Mondays to Fridays 5.00pm to 12.00am Saturdays, Sundays & Public Holidays 2.00pm to 12.00am Eve of Public Holidays 5.00pm to 1.00am (ii) Dress Code (Smart Casual Wear) Members and Guests are requested to be properly attired to enter D Sports. At no time will those wearing soiled or wet clothing, swimwear, singlets or sleeveless T-shirts, be allowed into the premises. (iii) Others 1. Persons below the age of 18 are not allowed in the Bar. 2. No games of any sort will be permitted in the Bar, except those approved by the Management Committee from time to time. 3. JACKSON MILLER (i) Operating Hours Wednesdays to Mondays, Eve of Public Holidays & Public Holidays 12.00pm to 3.00pm (Last order at 2.15pm) 6.30pm to 11.00pm (Last order at 9.30pm) Closed on Tuesdays. 3

7 (ii) Dress Code 1. All operating hours :- All male members and guests 16 years and above to be dressed in smart casual attire. Swimwear, sports shorts, bermudas, singlets, overalls, vests, T-shirts with loud advertisements, torn-off jeans, soiled or wet clothing (particularly after sports), flip-flops and sandals are not considered appropriate attire for this area at any time. 2. Ladies and children shall be appropriately dressed. (iii) (iv) (v) (vi) Children under the age of 12 years may not at any time enter the Jackson Miller unless accompanied by an adult. Babies in arms are not allowed. Smoking is strictly prohibited. Calls and mobile phones should be made/ answered outside. 4(d). THE PALMS (i) Operating Hours Daily : 11.00am to 10.00pm (Last order at 9.30pm) (ii) Dress Code Casual wear. No singlets, sports shorts, sleeveless T-shirts, swimwear, soiled or wet clothing (particularly after sports). (iii) (iv) (v) No food or drinks except those served by the Club and authorized by the Management may be brought into the Palms. Smoking is strictly prohibited. Mobile phones and pagers shall be to be switched to silent mode. 4(e). CHINESE RESTUARANT (i) Operating Hours Tuesdays to Sundays Weekdays Lunch 11.30am to 3.00pm (Last order at 2.30pm) Weekends, Eve of Public Holidays & Public Holidays Lunch 11.00am to 3.00pm (Last order at 2.30pm) 4

STRAITS OF MALACCA (i) Operating Hours Mondays to Thursdays 12.00pm to 11.00pm Fridays & Eve of Public Holidays 12.00pm to 12.00am Saturdays 10.00am to 12.00am Sundays & Public Holidays 10.00am to 11.00pm (Last order 15 minutes before close) Operating hours may be extended as members needs dictate. 4(g). DELICATESSEN (i) Operating Hours Daily : 8.00am to 10.00pm (Last order at 9.45pm) 4(h). BOWLING ALLEY SNACK BAR (i) Operating Hours Mondays to Fridays & Eve of Public Holidays 3.00pm to 11.00pm (Last order at 10.30pm) Saturdays, Sundays & Public Holidays 12.00pm to 11.00pm (Last order at 10.30pm) 5

9 4(i). FOUNTAIN BAR (i) Operating Hours Mondays to Thursdays, Sundays & Public Holidays 3.00pm to 10.00pm (Last Order at 9.30pm) 5. GRATUITIES Fridays, Saturdays & Eve of Public Holidays 3.00pm to 11.00pm (Last Order at 10.30pm) Members are forbidden to give gratuities to any employee of the Club except when authorized by the Management Committee. 6. CHANGING OF CLOTHING a) The dressing or undressing of children is not permitted outside the authorized changing rooms. b) Parents are required to ensure that young children taken into the pool are under their supervision at all times. 7. POOL RESTRICTIONS (1) Operating Hours The Competition Pool and Recreational Pool will be opened daily from 5.30am to 10.00pm. a) Use of Showers No person shall enter the swimming pools without showering. If he has had an earlier shower but had since engaged in any other activities, which can produce, sweat including sunbathing, he should be required to take another shower immediately before he enters the pool. b) Skin Diseases Any person suffering from skin infection is prohibited from using the swimming pools. No person with an open wound may enter the swimming pool. c) Kickboards Kickboards may be used during training periods when its use is authorized by the Club Swimming Instructor or other person authorized by the Management. d) Flippers, etc Flippers may be used in the main pool. Snorkels and goggles may be used in the main pool but all such apparatus must be fitted with plastic or other unbreakable face pieces. Glass face pieces are strictly prohibited. 6

10 e) Aqualung Equipment Aqualung diving equipment may not be used in the pool. f) Rings, Floats etc. With the exception of approved training armbands, which may be used in the children s pool only, no floatation appliances such as rings, balls or toys or other devices may be used in any pool. g) Bottles, glasses, other articles Except as may be specifically authorized by the Management Committee, no object, article or any other matter may be thrown into, thrown around, placed, inserted or played about in the pool. No glass, crockery or cutlery may be placed or footwear worn or placed on the pool surround. h) Thunderstorms During thunderstorms or heavy rain where lightening may be present, members are advised in their own interests to leave the pool and SHALL do so forthwith if the pool is closed by the Management. i) Swimming or Sunbathing No one is allowed to swim or sunbath unless wearing swimming attire of a design acceptable to the Management Committee. 8. COACHING & TRAINING LESSONS (a) Individual and group lessons for swimming and other sports and recreational activities are available and conducted by the Club at such period as may be determined by the Management Committee from time to time. (Note: Members interested in any of these lessons will find more detailed information on the notice boards or may enquire from the Receptionist). (b) Members and children of Members who enrol in the Swimming Programme of the Club shall be subject to the following provisions:- The Head of Swimming Department may:- (i) (ii) (iii) Suspend a swimmer from the Swimming Programme for misconduct and behaviour which may affect the well being of other swimmers in the programme. Re-Schedule or cancel classes whenever necessary in order to facilitate the running of any Swim Department or Club event, unless specifically stated, there will be no refund or any fee or replacement classes. Re-Schedule or cancel any planned activities without prior notice due to unforseen circumstances. Unless specifically stated, there will be no refund of any fee or replacement classes. 7

11 (iv) Refuse any member or member s child enrolment into the Swimming Programme or request that an existing swimmer leaves the Programme should the member and/or child of the member not conduct himself/herself with proper decorum/behaviour whist attending/participating in a swim event/programme organized by the Swim Department or any such external events sanctioned by the Swim Department, or fail to comply with the programme rules during training session(s). Any misconduct could involve, but not limited to incidents between swimmers, between swimmers and parents, between swimmers and coaches, between coaches and parents. (v) All appeals in respect to Bye-Law 8(b) will be directed to the Swimming Sub-Committee. The appeallant should provide written submissions on the grounds of appeal and substantiate with evidence, if necessary. (c) Private lessons for swimming and other sports and recreational activities may only be conducted by registered coaches (instructors) approved by the Club. 9. USE OF POOL AND CLUB PREMISES BY NON-MEMBERS a) With the prior authority of the Management Committee the Club pool, grounds and premises or parts thereof may be used by nonmembers who are competitors and or spectators at aquatic events organized by the Club or by an Association, School or Club. b) At the discretion of the Management Committee the main or children s pool, or any part thereof, may be closed for sporting or other purposes. c) Notice shall be given to members of all events authorized by the Management Committee and this notice shall indicate the times at which the pools will be closed and the areas of the Club premises to be made available to non-members. 10. CHANGING ROOMS & LOCKERS a1) MSCP Ladies and Men s Changing Rooms Children below the age of 12 years are not allowed to use the MSCP Ladies and Men s changing rooms unless accompanied by a parent or guardian when using the changing room designated for the sex of the child and the accompanying adult. The parent/guardian must be present at all times to supervise the child when in the changing room. a2) Sports Centre Ladies and Men s Changing Rooms When a child of age 5 years and below is brought into the changing room by an adult, the adult and the child are allowed to use the changing room designated for the sex of the adult. 8

12 a3) New Annexe Building Children s Changing Room The children s changing rooms are meant for use by Boys and Girls of age 16 years and below. Any person of age 16 years and above is allowed to use the Children s changing rooms if the person is bringing a child of age 5 years and below into the changing room designated for the sex of that person. b) Children under 14 years using the Jacuzzi, Sauna and Steam Rooms must be accompanied by their parent or guardian at all times. c) Bath towels are available at the Basement Counter for members use at 50 cents per towel. $15 shall be levied for non-return of a towel. d) The monthly rental of Lockers when available in the Ladies and Men Changing Rooms shall be at such sum as may be fixed by the Management from time to time. No key deposit is required but a charge shall be levied for the replacement of a lost key and the same charge shall be levied in the member s final account in the event of failure to return the key. 11. RESPONSIBILITY The Club shall not be responsible or liable for: - a) Any injury or accident, fatal or otherwise, to members, children, guests or visitors, whether or not caused or contributed to by the negligence of the Club s servants or agents in the performance of their duties. b) Any damage to or loss of private property in the Club s premise howsoever caused. 12. FILTRATION PLANT & PUMP HOUSE Unless specifically authorized by the General Manager or Duty Manager, no person shall enter the filtration plant section or the pump house. 13. REMOVAL OF CLUB PROPERTY No property of the Club shall be removed from the Club premises except with the express permission of the General Manager or Duty Manager. Any breach of this Bye- Law may render a member liable to suspension or expulsion. 14. CAR PARKS a) Vehicles and cycles of any kind may not be parked or left on or brought into the Club premises other than in such areas approved by the Management Committee. b) Members and visitors may park their vehicles only in lots designated for them. c) Members shall at the request of any authorized Club official adjust their parking position where their vehicles are causing or are liable to cause obstruction. d) Vehicles parked indiscriminately and/or at unauthorized locations shall be 9

13 wheel clamped. (i) An Administrative fee of $ shall be imposed and such fee shall be charged to the member s account for the release of the wheel clamped vehicle. e) Vehicles left overnight at the club premises, except for the first night where prior permission has been obtained, shall be wheel clamped. (i) (ii) A penalty fee of $10.00 for each day after the first night the vehicle is left at the Club premises shall be charged to member s account. An administrative fee of $ shall be charged to the member s account for the release of the wheel clamped vehicle. f) Car labels are issued free of charge, except in the circumstances mentioned in (ii) below:- (i) (ii) Members must return the labels to the Club in the event they cease to be members of the Club or when they dispose of their cars. When a member is issued a replacement label, he shall return the previous label, failing which a penalty of up to $50 shall be levied for a replacement label. g) Labels will be issued to members who are the registered owner of the vehicle(s) subject to production of a copy of the Log Card or insurance document or any other papers indicating that the member is the registered owner. h) If the member is not the registered owner of the vehicle, he must still produce a copy of the Log Card and sign a Letter of Undertaking that he will take full responsibility should a non-member be found using the car label to gain unauthorized entry into the Club. i) Members with a single membership account will be issued with one (1) car park label. j) Members with a family membership account will be issued with two (2) car park labels. k) The car park label is to be collected personally at the Club Reception Counter. l) Car labels are the property of the Club and members shall be responsible for the car park labels issued to them. The car labels are not transferable. Any member who misuses the label is liable for disciplinary action. m) Car Park Rates for Guests Daily (Before 6.00pm) Flat Rate of $1.50 for first hour, or part thereof Subsequently, $1.50 charges pro-rated to the minute Daily (After 6.00pm) Flat Rate of $2.00 for first hour, or part thereof 10

14 Subsequently, $2.00 charges pro-rated to the minute. n) To be entitled to complimentary parking, members vehicles must have the required car-park label and have registered their IU unit with the Club. Vehicles without the appropriate car-park label, or with an IU unit not registered with the Club, will not be entitled to complimentary parking and will be charged the guest rate, even if the vehicle is driven by a member of the Club. o) Members are entitled to a free car park label as mentioned below:- 15. ANIMALS Members with a single membership account are entitled to one (1) car park label Members with a family membership account are entitled to two (2) car park labels Members may apply for ONE additional car park label provided the member fulfils the terms and conditions as follow:- i) Member must be the Registered owner of the Car. ii) IU Unit must be registered with the Club. iii) A monthly fee of $50 (plus prevailing GST) payable is advance is applicable and will be debited to member s account. iv) Parking space is not guaranteed and is made available on a first come first served basis. v) This facility for an additional car label can be withdrawn at the discretion of the Management with one month s prior notice. The car park label must be returned upon termination. No animals shall be brought on to the Club premises at anytime. 16. RADIO & OTHER MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS a) The use of radio receivers, television sets, gramophones, tape recorders and other musical instruments are prohibited except on such occasions as is authorized by the Management Committee. b) This prohibition does not apply to the use of a battery operated portable radio or television receiver by means of an earplug where no sound is audible to other Club users. 17. MAIDS a) Maids may be brought to the Club by a member for the purpose of minding young children and attending to the elderly or persons in wheelchair. b) Such maids are not permitted to use the social and recreational facilities of the Club. Both maids and the young children under their care must be registered at the security checkpoint. 11

15 c) Members and guests are at all times fully responsible for the safety and security of their young children under the care of maids within the Club premises. 18. SUGGESTION BOOK a) A Suggestion Book shall be kept at the Reception Desk. b) A member wishing to make a suggestion shall write clearly his suggestion, his name, account number and address at the end of each suggestion. 19. CONDUCT & COMPLAINTS a) Complaints Pursuant to Rule 12(a) of the Club s Rules, any complaint as to the conduct of any employee of the Club must be lodged with either their Duty Manager or the General Manager in writing giving particulars of the incident including the names of the employees involved and any witnesses present together with the date and time of the incident OR in the prescribed Complaint Form (which is available at the Reception Counter). The Complaint in either form must be signed by the Complainant. b) No member, children or guests shall reprimand, use abusive language or profanities on any employee. c) Pursuant to Rule 13(c) of the Club s Rules, any complaint against the conduct of any member, Nominee or child of any member or nominee must be lodged with either the Duty Manager or the General Manager in writing giving particulars of the incident including the names of members/staff involved and any witnesses present together with the date and times of the incident OR using the prescribed Complaint Form (which is available at the Reception Counter). The Complaint Form in either form must be signed by the Complainant. d) The General Manager shall investigate the Complaint lodged pursuant to either Rule 12(a) or 13(c) in compliance with the Club s policy and procedures in respect of investigation of Complaints, which is annexed to the Complaint Form. The General Manager shall then proceed with any one of the courses of action available under Rule 13(c). e) Conduct Of Members Members and Nominees shall conduct themselves with proper decorum and comply with the Rules and Bye-Laws of the Club while in the premises of the Club. Pursuant to Rule 13(a), the Management is empowered to require any member/nominee/guest/child to leave the Club and to refuse any subsequent entry to the member/nominee/guest/child pending the decision of the Management Committee, which decision shall be made within thirty (30) days from the date of such non-compliance by the member/nominee/guest/child. f) Appeals Pursuant to Rule 14(a) of the Club s Rules, any member, nominee or child of any member or nominee who is dissatisfied with the decision of the General 12

16 Manager may appeal to the Appeals Board with written submissions and supporting documents on the grounds of appeal. The Appeals Board shall review the submissions and supporting documents and shall fix a date for the Appeals Board hearing as soon as practicable. Sufficient notice of the Appeals Board hearing must be given to the appellant that his/her presence is required at the Appeals Board hearing. If the appellant fails to turn up at the Appeals Board hearing without a valid reason, the Appeals Board will proceed with the appeal in his/her absence based on the written submissions and supporting documents, if any. g) Attendance at the Disciplinary Hearing Members will be given at least 14 days advance notice of the date fixed for the Disciplinary Hearing. It is compulsory for a member to attend Disciplinary Hearing on the fixed date unless written notice is given at least 72 hours in advance citing valid reason/s for his inability to attend. h) For those who fail to attend without giving due notice as set out in Bye-Law 19(g), the Club will take the following steps against the errand member. i) If a member is absent at a Disciplinary Hearing, the Disciplinary Committee will proceed with the Hearing and the decisions made by the Disciplinary Committee will be final and binding. 20. MEMBERSHIP CARDS a) Membership cards shall be issued for the identification of members and should be carried whilst on the Club premises and produced when requested by an authorized employee or official of the Club. b) Periodic gate checks shall be carried out when determined by the General Manager and any member not in possession of his membership card shall notify the checking officials or employee of his name, his account number and the reason for not being able to produce it. c) Any member who, on three occasions fail to produce his membership card shall be required to submit within 7 days, a written explanation satisfactory to the General Manager. d) Membership cards are not transferable. e) Membership cards are the property of the Club and shall be returned upon :- (i) Cessation of membership, and (ii) In the case of Junior members, their Junior cards upon conversion to Ordinary membership. (iii) As and when the Management deems necessary. f) Application for replacement of membership card may be charged with an administrative fee of up to $ GUESTS a) A member introducing guests to the Club shall be levied the following fees:- 13

17 (i) A guest entrance fee of $5.00 per guest if the introduction is on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, Public Holidays or Eve of Public Holidays. No guest entrance fee will be levied on other days or for attendance at Dinner & Dance functions and all other events organized or approved by the Club. The guest entrance fee can be redeemed at any of the Club s food & beverage outlets including D Tanjong and D Sports and D Galaxy on visit date by introducing member. (ii) (iii) (iv) Notwithstanding Bye-Law 21 (a)(i), a fee of $5.00 will be levied on each guest, if the guest swims and/or uses the Multi Storey Car Park changing room facilities containing the Jacuzzi, Sauna and Steam bath. A fee of $5.00 per guest if the guest plays Badminton, Billiards, Squash or Tennis A fee of $5.00 per guest if the guest plays Table Tennis. (v) The above fees shall be chargeable in respect of guests who are 5 years of age and above. (vi) The above fees may be changed from time to time by the Management Committee and members shall be duly notified of the change in fees. b) A guest may play Badminton, Billiards, Bowling, Squash, Table-Tennis or Tennis only on the following days and times:- Badminton Mondays to Sundays - from 7.00am to 11.00pm - based on court booking by member and limited to 3 guests per member. Billiards Mondays to Sundays - from 9.00am to 11.00pm Bowling Mondays to Saturdays - from 12.00pm to 12.00am & Eve of Public Holidays Sundays & Public Holidays - from 9.00am to 12.00am Squash Mondays to Sundays - from 7.00am to 11.00pm Table-Tennis Mondays to Sundays - from 7.00am to 11.00pm Tennis Mondays to Sundays - from 7.00am to 11.00pm - based on court booking by member and limited to 3 guests per member The above days and times may be altered from time to time by the Management Committee and members shall be notified of the change accordingly. 14

18 c) A guest may use the swimming pool only when it is not reserved for any other purpose. d) The following penalties will be imposed on members who do not properly introduce their guests under Bye-Law 21 or sign them in before use of certain facilities. 1 st Offence (i) A fine equivalent to five times the amount of guest fee chargeable. 2 nd Offence (i) A fine equivalent to five times the amount of guest fee chargeable and (ii) A letter of warning from the General Manager. 3 rd Offence Disciplinary action to be taken as determined by the Management Committee. e) Members who intend to bring into the Club more than 20 guests at any time shall notify the General Manager at least 3 days in advance of such intention, failing which the Club shall have the right to refuse to serve these guests. f) Guests must be accompanied by members at all times whilst on the Club premises. 22. CHILDREN (a) (b) (c) (d) Unless special permission is given by the Management Committee, children under the age of 16 years visiting or using the facilities of the Club must be accompanied by an adult member who will be expected to exercise supervision and control at all times. Such special permission may be obtained for children 7 years and above but below 16 years of age to be on the Club premises unaccompanied by an adult member by the parent submitting an application to the General Manager on the prescribed form, which is available from the Club s Reception Counter. Children given such permission shall be issued with a special admission card which must be carried by the child at all times whilst on the Club premises. A member shall be fully responsible for the conduct and behaviour of his child and other children visiting the Club in his charge and will be liable to the Club in respect of any damage caused to the Club s property. 23. NOTICE BOARDS a) With the exception of official club notices, no notices or posters shall be placed in the Club premises without the permission of the General Manager. Any notice or poster so approved shall not be displayed until it has been inspected and initial or signed by the General Manager or his deputy. b) Advertisements relating to property for sale or wanted accommodation, domestic staff and similar matters may be accepted for display on the notice board provided for this purpose. A fee of $5.00 per month or part 15

19 24. GAMES thereof shall be charged for this service. Except for games organized or approved by the Club, all other forms of indoor and outdoor games shall be prohibited in the Club premises. 25. LIBRARY a) The Library is open daily from: Sundays to Thursdays including Public Holidays: 8.30am to 12.00am Fridays to Saturdays including Eve of Public Holidays: 8.30am to 1.00am b) No bags (ladies handbags and clutch bags excepted) shall be taken into the Library. c) Books, magazines, newspapers, etc provided shall NOT be taken out of the Library. d) Books, magazines, newspapers, etc shall be returned to their original display location after reading. e) SMOKING, EATING AND DRINKING IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED in the Library. f) Persons in swimwear, soiled or wet clothing (including shoes/footwear) are NOT permitted in the Library. g) Children under 5 years of age are NOT permitted in the Library. Children between 5 and 10 years shall be accompanied by an adult. h) SILENCE and proper decorum should be observed at all times. i) Mobile phones and pagers shall be switched to silent mode. Calls on mobile phone should be made/ answered outside the Library at all times. j) No sleeping is allowed. 26. EVE S CORNER (LADIES ROOM) a) The Eve s Corner is open daily, including Sundays and Public Holidays from 8.30am till Club closing time. b) The facilities are strictly for ladies only. c) SMOKING IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED. d) Food, refreshment & beverages are not to be taken in and consumed in this room. e) Ladies in swimwear, soiled or wet clothing, soiled shoes, slippers or strapless sandals are not permitted entry. f) Children below 16 years of age are not permitted entry. 16

Anyone caught vandalizing the video machines will be liable for its repair or restoration. f) Gambling, in any form, will be strictly forbidden. g) No running or rough play will be allowed in the VGR. h) The Club reserves the right to declare any video machine out-of-order at any time without assigning any reason whatsoever. 17

21 i) Members using the VGR are expected to conduct themselves in an acceptable manner. j) No foreign coins shall be inserted in the machines. 29. LUCKY STRIKE (JACKPOT ROOM) a) The Jackpot Room is open daily, including Sundays and Public Holidays from 9.00am to Club s closing time. b) The Jackpot Room shall be open to all members and their guests subject to the minimum age limit of 18 years of age. The number of guests that a member may bring into the Jackpot Room at any one time, shall not be more than two (2). Such guests using the Jackpot facilities must be introduced in accordance with Club Rule 9 and Bye- Law 21. The member shall register himself and his guests particulars and the time and date of the visit in the register book. c) SMOKING IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED. d) Only food and beverages approved by the Management Committee may be consumed in the Jackpot Room. e) Members in swimwear, soiled or wet clothing, brief shorts, singlets are not permitted in the Jackpot Room. Smart bermudas are allowed. f) Players must not mishandle the Jackpot machines at any time. Misuse of the machine is strictly forbidden. g) The Club reserves the right to declare any machines OUT OF ORDER at any time without assigning any reason. h) No claim for payment whatsoever from any machine will be allowed, if the light panel shows the sign WINNER PAID or WIN METER. A malfunctioned machine voids all pays and plays and hence no further claim of payment from such machine will be allowed. i) No reservation of machine is allowed. The Duty Manager/Jackpot Officer reserves the right to remove any articles or coins left out of play for more than ten minutes. Such articles or coins can be claimed upon request to the Duty Manager/Jackpot Officer. j) There shall be no changing of coins 10 minutes before closing time. k) Proper decorum shall be observed at all times. l) Use of mobile phones and/or any other electronic devices in the Jackpot Room is strictly prohibited. m) All Food and Beverage provided in the Jackpot Room shall not be removed therefrom. 18

NURSERY ROOM a) The Nursery Room is open daily, including Sundays and Public Holidays from 8.30am to Club closing time. b) The Nursery is strictly for the use of mothers and/or their maids for tending to children less than 3 years of age. c) All children brought into the Nursery must be accompanied by an adult at all times. d) Users shall abstain from activities, which shall disturb other users. e) Mothers and maids are encouraged to refrain from eating and drinking in the Nursery. f) Littering is strictly prohibited. g) The Club will not be responsible for any accidents/mishaps in the Nursery. Children in the Nursery are the sole responsibility of the mothers or their maids. h) No dangerous or sharp objects shall be brought into the Nursery Room. i) Smoking is strictly prohibited. 31. MAHJONG ROOM/CARD ROOM a) Operating Hours Sundays till Thursdays am to 12.00am. Fridays & Saturdays am to 1.00am Booking Hours First Booking 7.00am Last booking 10.00pm Minimum booking duration 2 hours b) Persons below the age of 18 years are not permitted in the Mahjong Room. c) GAMBLING is strictly prohibited. d) Bookings for the usage of the rooms may be made by phone or in person at the Reception Counter. Bookings are on a first-come-first-serve basis. e) Booking of room is only for Mahjong or Cards session. No member is allowed to use the Mahjong / Card room for other activities such as board games, gatherings or meetings. f) A member is permitted to book only ONE room at a time. No member is permitted to book the room on behalf of another member. g) Only members participating in the Mahjong or Card session will be allowed to book the Mahjong / Card Room. The member is to accompany his guests, 19

23 if any, in the Mahjong Session. Members may not leave guests unattended. h) The member booking the room will be held responsible for the conduct of their guests. There will be no surcharge for guests who are allowed to play anytime during the operating hours of the Mahjong Room as long as it is available. i) Members are required to sign the booking forms before the commencement of Mahjong or card games. j) Members are ONLY allowed advance bookings of up to 14 days. In the case of cancellation, charges will still be applicable. Upon cancellation, management reserves the right to reallocate the rooms to other members on waiting list. k) If a member who has booked the Mahjong Room fails to turn up 30 minutes after the booked period and another member is waiting for the use of the Room at that time, the member who has booked the Room shall forfeit the booking of the Room with FULL payment due to the Club. The Club shall be entitled to allow use of the Room to such other waiting member. l) The Mahjong Set must be collected personally from the Reception Counter and returned personally to the Reception Counter at least 15 minutes before closing time, failing which the Club reserves the right to surcharge a fee of $ m) Members will be charged an amount to be determined by the General Manager for the replacement of pieces lost, damaged or defaced. If it is not replaceable, the member will be charged the amount for the replacement of a new Mahjong set. n) From 1 st July 2007, ALL Mahjong / Card Rooms will be Non-Smoking rooms. o) Mahjong papers will only be replaced upon member s request. Maximum of 5 pcs of Mahjong papers will be provided regardless of number of hours booked. Any unused Mahjong paper shall be returned to Reception Counter. 32. BILLIARDS Any additional mahjong paper request will be charged at $2.50 per set of 5 (inclusive prevailing GST). (1) Operating Hours a) The operating hours of Billiards room are as follows:- - Mondays to Saturdays & Eve of Public Holidays 12.00pm to 11.00pm - Sundays & Public Holidays 9.00am to 11.00pm (2) Bookings a) Booking of tables may be made in person at the Sports Counter, via telephone booking at the Sports Counter or via internet booking. 24 making the bookings are required to produce their membership cards for identification before they take up their booking on day of play. b) If a member who has booked a table fails to turn up 10 minutes after the commencement of the period he forfeits his booking with full payment and the remaining of the period may be re-allocated to another member waiting for the table at that time at full normal fees. c) Cancellation of booking up to an hour before the time of play will be allowed. Failure to cancel this booking an hour before commencement of play or by not taking it up, the member forfeits his normal booking fees with an additional penalty of the same amount after the 10 minutes grace period. d) Members failing to take up their bookings on two consecutive sessions may, at the discretion of the General Manager, be barred from making further bookings. e) Members are required to sign the booking chits before they play billiards. (3) Charges f) Members are also required to give the names of playing partners, indicating whether they are members or guests. The booking fee for each table shall be $3.00 per hour. (4) Children (5) Guests a) Children between 12 and 21 years of age who wish to make use of the billiards tables must get the consent of the parent or guardian who is also a member to sign an undertaking to pay for any damages that they may cause to the billiards table or equipment. b) Children under 12 years of age are not permitted in the Billiards Room at any time. a) Guests using these facilities may only do so in accordance with the Club s Bye-Law 21. b) Guest must be accompanied by members at all times whilst in the Club premises. c) The following penalties will be imposed on members who do not sign-in their guests using the Club Sports facilities. 1 st Offence (i) A fine equivalent to five times the amount of guest fee chargeable. 2 nd Offence (i) A fine equivalent to five times the amount of guest fee chargeable and 21

25 (6) Attire (ii) A letter of warning from the General Manager. 3 rd Offence Disciplinary action to be taken as determined by the Management Committee. a) Persons in any wet attire are not permitted in the room. b) Pants above knee length, running shorts, V- shorts and singlets without a shirt are not permitted in the room at all times. c) Slippers (flip-flops) are not permitted in the room. Only shoes and sandals with straps are permitted in the room. d) Playing barefoot or walking around barefoot is strictly prohibited in the room. (7) Prohibitions a) Smoking is strictly prohibited. b) No articles are to be placed on the billiards tables at anytime. c) The Marker / Sports Staff shall have the right to advise a weaker player against playing on the Billiards Table. In the event that the player insists on continuing the game and accidentally creates a cut on the cloth, the said player shall have to bear the cost of making good or replacement of the table cloth. (8) Food Only drinks and light snacks (as approved by the Management Committee) may be consumed in the Billiards Room. (9) Damage To Property 33. SQUASH a) Any damage to the table or billiards equipment will be charged to the account of the member responsible. Cost of damages will be decided by the General Manager. b) Any member tearing the Billiards Cloth shall bear the cost of replacing a new cloth as determined by the Sub-Committee based on the life span of the cloth. (1) Bookings a) Bookings of courts may be made in person at the Sports Counter, via telephone booking at the Sports Counter or via internet booking. Members making the bookings are required to produce their membership cards for identification before they take up their booking on day of play. Each session will be for 1 hour. 22

26 b) Courts cannot be booked more than one week in advance. c) Members may not book more than one Court at the same time or any court for two consecutive periods. d) Members will be required to enter their names in the booking register held by the Sports Assistant and to follow the order to play. e) Members are required to sign the booking chits before they play squash. f) Members are also required to give the names of the playing partners, indicating whether they are members or guests. g) If a member, who has booked a court, fails to turn up 10 minutes after the commencement of the period, he forfeits his booking with full payment and the remaining of the period may be re-allocated to another member waiting for a Court at that time at full normal fees. h) Cancellation of booking will be accepted up to 24 hours before the time of play. i) Members failing to take up their bookings on two consecutive sessions may, at the discretion of the General Manager, be barred from making further bookings. (2) Charges a) A fee of $3.00 per court per hour will be levied against members. (3) Children a) Children under 5 years of age are not permitted inside the Courts at all times. b) Children 5 to 8 years of age are not allowed to play unless accompanied at the Courts by his or her parents. However, they may not play during peak periods which are as follows:- (4) Club Session Between 5.00pm and 8.00pm on Weekdays. Between 2.00pm and 8.00pm on Saturdays. Between 7.00am and 12.00pm on Sundays and Public Holidays. a) Every Tuesday and Thursday from 5.00pm to 10.00pm shall be Club Session. (No booking is required). b) Members who play during the Club Sessions are requested to sign in the attendance sheet at the Squash Courts. c) A fee of $1.50 will be levied against each member per participation per day. 23

27 (5) Guests d) Order of play If there are members waiting to play, players must play not more than 3 sets. e) Guests are not allowed to play during Club Sessions. a) Guests using the facility may only do so in accordance with the Club s Bye-Law 21. b) Guests must be accompanied by members at all times whilst in the Club premises. c) The following penalties will be imposed on members who do not sign-in their guests using the Club Sports facilities. 1 st Offence (i) A fine equivalent to five times the amount of guest fee chargeable. 2 nd Offence (i) A fine equivalent to five times the amount of guest fee chargeable and (ii) A letter of warning from the General Manager. Singlets and V- Shorts are not considered appropriate attire. b) It is compulsory for players to put on non-marking court shoes with rubber soles, failing which the of f end ing player shall be warned for the 1 st offence, a fine of S$50.00 for the 2 nd offence and for the 3 r d and subsequent offence, he or she shall be fined $ and be barred from using the facilities for 1 month. c) If the offending player is a guest of a member, the member shall be dealt with similarly as provided under (b) above.
