4 Monday, August 27, 2018 Royal Melbourne Country Club (Long Grove) Dear Friend, The Alzheimer s Association is honored to have been selected as the beneficiary of the Jean Chinn Memorial Golf Outing - set to take place on Monday, August 27, The event will be held at Royal Melbourne Country Club in Long Grove. On behalf of the half million Illinois residents affected by Alzheimer s disease and the more than 220,000 living with the disease, we thank you for your consideration in supporting this great community event. Bob Chinn s family has lovingly expressed their involvement with the Association and desire to spread awareness and raise money for this debilitating disease in the attached letter. Please read their special message to all donors and participants. Alzheimer s is the 6th leading cause of death in the United States. And of the Top 10 leading causes of death, Alzheimer s is the only one that cannot be prevented, cured or even slowed down in progression. Since 1980, the Alzheimer s Association, has provided reliable information and care consultation; created supportive services for families; increased funding for dementia research; and influenced public policy changes. The Illinois Chapter serves the more than half a million Illinois residents affected by Alzheimer s disease throughout the 68 county territory, including 220,000 people living with the disease. The Alzheimer s Association is a tax-exempt, 501(c) 3 non-profit, donor supported organization which uses 77% of all funds raised for programs, services and research efforts. The Association provides information on living a brain-healthy lifestyle and research into the cause, treatments, preventions and cure for Alzheimer s. By participating in the annual Charity Golf Outing, you will be directly supporting the mission and vision of the Alzheimer s Association.
