2 FAIRWAY INVEST Fairway, the Way of St. James Forum, has become an essential working space for companies and institutions that are linked in some way to the Camino. For its 3rd event to be held in 2019, as a supplement to the established sections in its different formats (Fair, Congress and Workshop), the organisation of the Way of St. James Forum has decided to give its full support to the creation of a new format: FAIRWAY INVEST What is Fairway Invest? It is a new meeting place, with its own methodology and programme, to enable companies, entrepreneurs and start-ups with projects linked to the Way of St. James to find funding, financial institutions or Business Angels, in order to help them materialise their business initiatives or projects connected with the Way of St. James.

3 When will it be held? The activities programmed for the Fairway Invest will take place on February 12, 2019, coinciding with the 3rd Fairway on February 10, 11 and 12. Who can participate? Fairway Invest is open to all type of entrepreneurs and projects related to the Way of St. James, as well as financial institutions, investment funds, private enterprises, investors in general, capital-risk companies or Business Angels. If the Way of St. James is your passion and you are looking for funding or new projects in which to invest then Fairway Invest is the place for you! If you are an investor The boom of the Camino has become a clear business opportunity, which is what sets this Investment Forum apart. The objective is to channel this potential and facilitate the presentation and evaluation of interesting projects for investment, concentrating the face-to-face process into a single day. Participating investors may receive, if they so wish, a dossier with the projects classified according to theme and interest. This will provide them with a quick, practical way of evaluating the projects beforehand, so that they can decide which project presentations they want to attend and whom they want to have face-to-face meetings with. 4 If you are an entrepreneur The initiative is divided into two sections with a sole registration process and fee of 100: Fairway Project Fund Fairway Invest Forum Fairway Project Fund The Project Fund is open to all initiatives related to the Way of St. James that are looking for funding. A maximum of 24 projects will be shortlisted, from all those submitted to Fairway Invest, for presenting to national and international investors. The day also includes a business breakfast with financial institutions and an afternoon of individual meetings with such institutions, ending with a cocktail to announce the finalised projects and the prize-winning project. Registration is open from August 15 to October 15, The prize-winning project will receive an outright grant of 5,000. Fairway Invest Forum A programme open to entrepreneurs in any professional, cultural or business sector that are carrying out projects related to this thousand-yearold route, or whose projects are still at an early stage or need financial backing. The day will include a business breakfast with financial institutions, a morning of conferences featuring useful, practical topics related to investment and business centred on the Way of St. James, an afternoon of meetings and networking with investors, followed by a closing cocktail in which you can establish ties with sector professionals and investors. 6 Conditions for participating in FAIRWAY INVEST Fairway Invest will be held in Santiago de Compostela, on February 12, Anyone can register. Fairway Invest is aimed at entrepreneurs from all over the world, regardless of their nationality. However, please bear in mind that most of the project will be in Spanish, as regards both the training sessions and the individual advisory meetings. 1. Anyone can register. The projects must be related to the Way of St. James. They can be in the production phase or be a well-developed, feasible idea with an exhaustive presentation of the project. 3. The projects cannot be connected with sex, alcohol, drugs or politics. 4. We are looking for entrepreneurs that are fully commitment to the project. Full-time commitment is essential if the project is selected as the winner. 5. We will select a short list with a maximum of 24 projects to participate in the Fairway Project Fund. The chosen entrepreneurs will present their project to renowned investors, Business Angels or risk-capital funds. 6. After these presentations, the investors in attendance will chose the winning project, which will receive a prize of 5, The projects that are not selected will participate in the Fairway Invest Forum, where they will attend a business lunch with investors, training conferences and meetings with investors and financial institutions. 8. All shortlisted projects must sign a participation commitment form, with attendance at the event being a requirement. When the entrepreneur is notified that he/she has been shortlisted, he/she will be sent the said document and given 7 calendar days to sign and return it. 9. If your project receives investment thanks to Fairway Invest, this will be in exchange for a percentage in accordance with the amount and conditions negotiated between the entrepreneurs and investors. Fairway Invest does not receive any equity in exchange for the services provided. 10. In relation to the Personal Data included in the registration, and which belongs to each project, it will be subject to what is stipulated by the current Personal Data Protection regulations and by Fairway s Privacy and Personal Data Processing Policy. 11.
