2 I WORLD SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS VERIN PITCH & PUTT Verín 27th-29th April 2018 With the objective of organising a successful International Open which will be celebrated on April 28 th and 29 th of 2018, at the Verin Pitch & Putt course in the town of Verín. This will allow the organising committee to estimate the potential dimension of the event. The definitive closing date for inscriptions is March 25 th Those players, pre-inscribed, will have first preference and will be allocated guaranteed participation assuming they comply with the prerequisite norms applied to the competition. In case a FIPPA member association exceeds the suggested limit of available places, every effort will be made to accommodate those players in the likely event of vacancies from other FIPPA member organisations. PARTICIPANTS The initial regulation for inscription are: 10 players per member organisation of FIPPA. 35 players reserved for affiliated playing members of the hosting member ASGAPP. The international competition itself will be held on the 28 th and 29 th April with a total of 144 participants. There will not be a cut. PROVISIONAL PROGRAMME Practice rounds: 27. April 36 holes: 28. April (simultaneous tee-off) 18 holes: 29. April Closing ceremony: 29. April We would suggest that players from abroad should reserve return flights for late on Sunday or for Monday, 9 th as weather conditions may oblige us to play the final round during the afternoon. Airport: Oporto (150 kms from the course) Santiago de Compostela and Vigo (160 kms from the course) RULES Norms and regulations in accordance with the rules of FIPPA. The competition format will be determined by the Competition Committee (54 holes Strokeplay - Scratch) INSCRIPTION PRICE Inscription: 83 inclusive of Green fees and lunch (7 nd April), t-shirt polo and FIPPA contribution. 3 4rd Classified 5rd Classified Ladies Seniors (+55) Sub- Super senior (+ 64) Sub- * (For prizes; minimum of 6 players in each category) We inform players that in accordance with the FIPPA regulation with respect to cash prizes for international Open tournaments, the prizes for the WS CHAMPIONSHIPS will be awarded to best classified players in the general category as follows: Winner Men senior: 300 2nd place Men senior: 250 3rd place Men senior: 200 4nd place Men senior: 150 5rd place Men senior: 100 Ladies Winner Ladies senior: 100 2nd place Ladies senior: 50 Super Senior Winner Super senior: 100 2nd place Men senior: 50 * (minimum of 6 players in each category) In the case of a tie in any of the classifications, the prize for each player will be the result of dividing the respective accumulated prizes among those players with the same result. A prize winning player may opt to prefer a gift voucher valid for a commercial establishment in Catalonia instead of the cash prize. This regulation is intended for players who are registered members of associations affiliated to FIPPA.
