1 MINUTES OF THE JULY MEETING OF THE VVGA HELD AT THE COMMONWEALTH GOLF CLUB ON WEDNESDAY JULY AT 10.00AM. PRESENT President Allan Henderson, Captain Daryl Dunford, Secretary George Thorne, John Moulton, Paul Campbell, Brian Holcombe, Allan Grant, Richard Olsen APOLOGIES: Robert Taylor, Life Member Malcolm Macpherson. To receive the minutes of the VVGA council meeting held 14 th February 2018, and the minutes of the special meeting held at the Yarram Golf Club on the 20 th of March Minutes of these two meetings were received by D Dunford /R Olsen Carried. Carried FINANCIAL REPORT. See Appendix 3 Was tabled and received by R. Olson / B Holcombe See Appendix 3 attached. MATCH COMMITTEE REPORTS PAST EVENTS REVIEW Four Ball Stroke Championship at Yarram. Well attended with 100 at the dinner. Country Championship at Shepparton. Roos McFarlane won his sixth Country Championship. Dinner was poorly attended.

2 EVENTS REPORTS FOR 2018 Sand scrape Championship at Talbot August 13 & 14. In hand, entry forms are on the web. VVGA Teams Championship at Jubilee September 17 & 18. In Hand. VVGA State Championship at Belvoir Park October 8 & 9. In hand. AVGU Report. At this time there have been 553 entries received for Port Stephens, 545 men and 159 ladies, a cut of point will be made at 560 entries with a waiting list set up. The following applications to host VVGA events for 2019 were approved. Four Ball Championship18 & 19 March 2019, Neangar Park Golf Club. Teams Event Beaufort Golf Club16 & 17 September State Championship Casterton Golf Club October 7 & Sandscape Championship Dimboola Golf Club 12 & 13 August Carried. General Business Richard Olsen to re write his submissions on changes to the Championship format which will be sent out to all districts for their views. Secretary George presented copies of the Secretary s and Treasurer s duties to all of the Council members. George also spoke on the need for the Councillors to submit items for discussion at Council meeting to be listed on the agenda for meetings. He also spoke on the need for districts and Councillors to submit articles and photos of interest to him that he could have printed in the web pages or the Hacker magazine. The Council will field two teams in this year s Teams Event, and for the first time will be able to win the event. Meeting closed at 12.15
