1 Red Mile Nightly Selections Sunday, September 9, 2018 Track Handicapper Gabe Prewitt Race 1 Selections Cuts Like a Knife Trip didn t set up well for her last time, coming up short after launching a first over attack. Hopelessly blocked in prior start. I m hoping for a smooth journey tonight from the pole, I ll stick with her one more time. 2 Band Stand Defending KYSS Champ hasn t been quite as sharp here in her 3yo campaign, and would likely still need to step things up a bit to knock off the favs in here. I ll consider for a minor share only at this point. 3 Tiffany Rocks As Hasn t made any impact in two local stakes tries, and I m not sure things are going to get any easier for her tonight. Pass. 4 Cabowabo cuttie She is as sharp now as she has ever been in her career, but still likely asking a bit much for her to contend for top honors. One of a few I ll consider for a minor share only. 5 Hurrikane Empress Parlayed a perfect trip into the narrow victory here last time, and has obviously proven she can hold her own with local stakes foes. Major player once again, but likely short price looming. 6 Pleasant Beauty Couldn t have set things up any better last time with a perfect 2 nd over trip, but just couldn t get by her rivals when it counted through the lane. Might be asking a bit much still. Race 2 Selections Start of the 50c Pick 5 1 Lily Stride Talented filly has been holding her own with the very best fillies in North America this summer, having earned over $127k along the way. Her only chance to earn points into next week s $250k final is tonight. I m expecting a big effort. 2 Ciao Dolce Has finished close in both local starts to this point, but has been a slight notch below the top ones in each appearance. Likely facing another similar scenario tonight, I ll consider for bottom half of exotics only. 3 MsNaught y ashill Hung in to finish close here last week, but still likely asking a bit much for her to make any major noise against top shelf stakes foes. I ll wait for a better spot. 4 Bandol Rose Note she did draw in the easier of 2 divs last week, but she took full advantage to spring the 14-1 upset victory. That was a big step in the right direction, and tactical early speed will likely ensure a nice up-close trip once again. 5 Fly Fly Selena Came up a bit dull here last time in local debut after missing a couple of weeks prior. Should be a bit better tonight, but would have to pick things up quite a bit still to make any major noise. 6 Byway Never threatened in 2 nd leg, and appears to be facing another uphill battle tonight. Pass for now. 7 Grand Overmatched as a big longshot in first two local spins, and retains longshot status tonight as well. Not tonight. Stand 8 Monday Nite Major stamina concerns of late, and I don t think things are going to get any easier tonight after landing an outside post against a good group. Pass. 9 Top Expectatns Defending KYSS Champ has been perfect locally to this point, but faces a tall order tonight after landing outside post against a tough foe in #1. Will need her very best punch to make it three in a row. Race 3 Selections Fine Art Hasn t had much success in two local tries to this point, and would likely still need to pick things up a bit to make any major noise against a competitive group here tonight. Pass for now. 2 Pure Paradise Rallied up nicely to pick up 3 rd here last week from far back, but hooks what seems to be the tougher of 2 divs again tonight. Likely in play for minor share only once again. 3 Dance Blue Has been on a tear locally, easily dispatching her KYSS foes in last two tries. She has clearly stamped herself as the one to beat since arriving in town. Three in a row? I think so. 4 Neverfrget whour Has been second best to #3 in last couple of tries, and appears to be well situated for a close finish again tonight. I ll toss her on the ticket once more. 5 Let s Fall in Love Completely packed it in here last week, and would need a complete turnaround to hang with top ones tonight. I ll pass for now. 6 Belle I will admit I had my concerns whether she could hang with stakes company when she arrived in town, but she has answered those concerns and then some. BIG effort here last time after shaking loose late. Major player. 7 Sun Shines Bright Has been ultra-consistent to begin her career, as we have come to expect a solid effort from her week after week. Anything similar likely puts her in play for a minor share here once again.

2 Race 4 Selections Urban Legend Tasted defeat for the first time in her young career here last week, but still gave a very nice account of herself in a solid 2 nd place finish. Lands in a shark tank here though, her toughest test to date. Won t be easy. 2 Pat Matters Lost all chance with the break in stride here last time, after putting in a huge bid to finish a close 2 nd in behind #3 in the prior try. Will need a quick rebound, but will likely offer a decent price in here. I ll look for her to bounce back. 3 Live Laugh Love Put in a huge bid in $253k PASS final last week at Pocono from post 9, but ultimately flattened out in the late stages to finish 4 th. Was very good in a winning effort here two starts back. Must respect credentials. 4 Lady Overmatched against local stakes foes to this point, and appears to be facing an uphill battle again tonight. Pass. Palema 5 Passionate Miss Picked up a distant 3 rd here last time, but appears to have landed in a much deeper group overall tonight. Likely asking a bit much for her to hang with the top ones in here. 6 Supergirl Riley Filly has been a major player on the NYSS circuit all summer, banking nearly $200k already as a 3yo. We know she has plenty of talent, and this is her only chance to earn points into next week s $250k final. Big chance. 7 Nixie Volo Has went down in defeat as the fav in both local stakes tries, and just doesn t seem to be the same filly that we saw earlier this year. Still racing well though, I ll consider for minor share once again. 8 Deschanel Has flown under the radar a bit locally, but arrives into tonight after two very good runner-up finishes in behind the defending Champ. Draws outside in a good group tonight though, won t be easy here. 9 Cash Calf Never threatened in debut for new barn here last time, and gets slammed with outside post tonight in contentious crew. Not for me. Race 5 Selections Decoy Has been a fringe player on the national stakes scene this summer, but lands a nice cozy post here for his local debut. This one billed as the Alagna (4 starters) vs. Takter (3 starters) showdown. I will consider for bottom of exotics. 2 Legal Finally gets a bit of post relief, but would still have to pick things up quite a bit to make any major noise. I ll pass for now. Power 3 Key Advisor Defending KYSS Champ took an aggressive shot here last time, and actually did flash some nice improvement in a close 4 th place finish in behind the big 3. Possibly rounding the corner at the right time? 4 Rush to Judgement I hate to rush to judgement, but I ve made a quick decision that it s likely still asking too much for this guy to hang with top ones here in only his 3 rd start of the season. Pass for now. 5 Grand Teton Lands a much better post than he s been accustomed to in first two local tries, but still will have to prove he can step up and hang with two rivals on the outside. I ll try him in behind those two once again. 6 Thinkbig Dreambig Came up on the short end of a stretch slugfest with #7 last time, but has proven he packs plenty of speed to this point in his career. Trips may be reversed tonight, I ll give him a chance to turn the tables. 7 American History Wore down #6 in deep stretch here last time to pick up a win in his local debut. Not much separating those two, I could be pushed to either of them that offers a better price. Take your pick! Race 6 Selections Dawson Springs Trotting hobbles seem to have helped get this guy going in the right direction once more, and he should end up with a nice trip after landing inside post tonight. I will consider him for a minor share once more. 2 American Moni 3yo son of the late-great $5.5M earning mare, Moni Maker, this is a recent Takter acquisition. Seems to still be tinkering at this point. I ll wait until we see some improvement. 3 Raileegot Overmatched against stakes foes locally, and appears to be facing a similar scenario tonight. Pass. ahold. 4 Haveitall together Packs plenty of tactical speed, and will likely be blasting out again to sit close again tonight. Always a threat to land on the ticket. 5 US Marshall Appeared to have some major league talent when he first debuted here last year, but hasn t really taken a step forward to the next level at the age of 3. I ll watch him go around once before hopping on board. 6 Classichap Has been battling top shelf stakes foes all summer, including a start in the $1M Hambletonian. A cut below those colts, but seems to fit nicely here in local debut. Best effort puts him very close here. 7` EL Soundly defeated in first two local tries, and appears to be facing an uphill battle again tonight. Pass for now. Platinum 8 Eurobond Never really looked comfortable here last week before ultimately making a break in stride at the top of the stretch. Very unfortunate after he was so good in opening leg. Which Eurobond shows up here? Good question. 9 Wolfgang Ended up 2 nd best in behind his stablemate last time, but dodges that rival tonight. No question he will be blasting out tonight from outside post. Reunited with Gingras in the bike. Lots to like. 10 All on Black Forced wide early from a tough post here last time, and unfortunately faces a tall order again tonight after getting slammed with post 10. Tough to endorse him from way out here.

3 Race 7 Selections Start of the $5,000G Pick 4 See ticket at the end 1 Rollon Rocktane Has been fairly consistent to this point locally, and should enjoy a nice up-close tracking trip after landing on the pole tonight. Very competitive group here, but he fits. 2 Luv Struck Gets slight call as the fav tonight after just missing as a fav last time at this level. Gets some post relief tonight and will likely be able to dictate the terms in here. Major player. 3 JL Joe Joe continues to be RAZOR sharp locally for a red hot barn of late. Dodges the rival that has defeated him in two consecutive tonight, and is one of several with a big chance in wide open affair. 4 General Simba Has gotten caught up in a couple of wicked miles the last two weeks, but lands into a more manageable spot tonight where he should be able to hang. Best punch puts him squarely in the mix. 5 Jessi s Western Never threatened as a big longshot last week, and is forced to step up to tackle better company here tonight. Not sure I can endorse him against these. 6 Arring arosa Overmatched in his first step up into this level last week, but does seem to have landed in a bit more comfortable spot overall tonight. Wouldn t take much more to put him in play. Again, it s wide open but we can t use them all! 7 Heyhey Mahanah Has really stepped up her game and gotten very sharp over the last month, nearly pulling off a 9-1 upset against similar company last week. Lands back in a very similar group tonight, one of several with a punchers chance. 8 Camgrandst Took a lot of tote attention here last time as the fav, but was just even late and had to settle for 5 th. Likely going to have to do it from FAR back again here. Needs a lively pace to chase. Your call. Race 8 Selections First Frost Major stamina issues of late, and lands in deep water tonight for his local debut. Pass for now. 2 Clinton We were all over him last time, and he put in a BIG effort on the front end only to come up a nose short at 7-1! That was a tough loss, but he lands back in a similar spot tonight. Best effort should put him very close once more. 3 Lyons princsruby Canadian invader has been holding her own with $15k claiming company north of the border, and she should enjoy the stretch out to the big track here tonight. A bit of a wildcard here tonight in local debut. Your call. 4 Gareth Nourrir Stamina issues have plagued him over the last few starts, and he will have to find a lot more pop on the end of it still to hang around with top ones late. I ll wait until we see a hint of improvement. 5 Cenovis Not much success since arriving locally at this level, would likely have to pick things up a bit still to make any major noise. I ll pass for now. 6 Fuel the Joe Has really stepped things up over the last few weeks, and he has clearly proven that he can hold his own with this level at this point. Lands back in a very similar spot tonight. Lots to like. 7 Double Stitched Encountered some major traffic trouble here last time or he was likely going to get up for the win in there. Lands back in a competitive crew here, but any smoother journey gives him a big chance. 8 UF Fast Feelin Hasn t been quite as sharp in last two tries at Scioto as what we saw from him here locally earlier this summer. Will he bounce back here upon return? Good question. 9 Rountuit Bluegrass Didn t race quite as well as I expected here on Thursday, and moves to an outside post tonight in a competitive crew. Will need his absolute best punch here. 10 Ohmybelle Belle hasn t been much of a factor since stepping up to this level against tough foes, and she gets slammed with post 10 tonight to make matters worse. I ll wait for a better spot. Race 9 Selections Ms Mrtha Jones Hasn t made much of an impact at this level locally, and lands in what appears to be a deep group tonight. Not ready to endorse her against these. Pass. 2 Fort El Said Got roughed up with a wide trip here last time, and should be in line for a much better journey tonight after landing an inside post in his 2 nd start since adding Lasix. I could consider him for a minor share with that in mind. 3 It s Like This Has had a slew of breaking problems to begin his career, but he did seem to be back on track in his most recent Q fer, a win over #9. I will assume he minds his manners tonight and stays pacing. Lots of upside potential. 4 Mighty McArthur Had every opportunity to sprint by on Thursday, but just finished up ok to be 3 rd. Lands back in a bit better group overall tonight, not sure things are going to get any easier for him here. 5 Libertys Choice Has disappointed me in both local starts to this point, would have to pick things up quite a bit to hang with top ones in an even better group tonight. Pass for now. 6 Crown Apple Lightly raced filly has shown steady progress in each appearance to this point, but likely asking a bit much still for her to hang with top ones in here right now. I will consider for a minor share only. 7 Native andup Overmatched against stakes foes here last time, and would likely still have to pick things up a bit to hang with the top ones in here as well. I ll wait until we see a hint of improvement. 8 Caviart Darlin Filly packs a regal pedigree, and appears to be all set tonight for her career debut after being hammered down for $185k last fall at the Lex yearling sale. Wasn t thrilled with the break in stride in local Q fer though, I ll watch one. 9 Captain McKee Well named colt made a break in stride in his only career start in Canada, but did bounce back with a solid a.m. performance locally to finish close in behind #3. We will assume he is back on the right track now. 10 Worth Considrng Has been ok to begin her career over the smaller Canadian ovals, and arrives locally to debut for new connections tonight. A bit of a wildcard with that in mind. I ll watch her go around once locally before hopping on board.

4 Race 10 Selections Beignet Great to see our 2018 co-leading driver pick up his first win in the bike here of the season last time aboard this guy after returning slowly from back surgery. Back in at the same level tonight, but appears to be a bit deeper group overall. 2 JD s Profiteer Had been in good local form prior to venturing to OH for his last few tries. Lands back locally tonight in for the $8k claiming tag, but hooks a very deep group. Not ready to hop on board just yet. 3 Dante Ivy Put in a very solid bid in his local debut, giving chase to a 1/9 fav throughout before finishing 2 nd to that rival. Gets to dip down a notch for tonight, I will give him chance to spring the mild upset here. 4 He Rocks the Moon Deservedly gets a chance to step up tonight after back to back wins at the $5k claiming level, but he will have to prove he is ready to hang with the top ones here tonight in what has come up as a tough event. 5 Star Guitar Has very consistent locally, always finishing close, but unable to get the job done. Keep in mind he is 1 for 56 the last couple of seasons for a reason. I will consider for a close finish again tonight. 6 Real Future Was ok here in debut for new barn last week, but keep in mind things did set up quite nicely for him in there after chasing some quick early fractions from far back. Hooks a tough crew for this assignment tonight as well. 7 Bieber Rallied from a tough spot here on Thursday, just missing 3 rd in a tight photo. Typically offers a nice closing kick, and I would expect the same here. I ll consider him underneath once again. 8 Big Bad Blue Overmatched in first step up to this level last week, and appears to be facing a tall order again tonight from a difficult post. Pass for now. 9 American Tiger The Tiger wasn t quite as sharp here last week as what we had seen of late, and now will have to move from the pole to the far outside. Not sure I like the sounds of that. Race 11 Selections Night Rhythm Barn has been rolling locally, and this guy got back on track with a decisive win here last week against overnight foes. Hooks tough rival in #8 tonight, but certainly in play in behind. 2 Katkin and Coke I gave him a long look here last week in local debut, but he came up short after taking an aggressive swing. Would have to step things up quite a bit still to make any major noise. 3 Arthur Luck Debuts for new barn tonight after being claimed for $8.5k here last week. Hasn t looked overly comfortable of late, but typically does offer a decent late kick. I could consider for bottom half of exotics only here. 4 You Cant Habit 4yo has been getting better and better with each and every appearance since returning from long layoff for new barn. That said, hooks a tough foe here tonight in #8. I ll consider for a minor share only. 5 Tinder Veteran hasn t had the same kick lately we ve seen from him in the past. Still swiping left at this point. 6 Dewitone Hasn t been much of a factor to this point locally, and hooks a deep group again tonight. Pass for now. moretime 7 Fairground Drama Put in a HUGE bid here last time, no question her best seasonal effort to date. Came up just short, but a big step in the right direction. Anything similar will put her in play in behind the heavy fav once again. 8 Tae Kwon Deo Winless since arriving stateside earlier this summer, but he has proven he packs some major league speed. Lands in a very comfortable spot tonight for local debut. Should be able to handle these. Race 12 Selections Atoka Millionre Took care of business at this level on Thursday, and lands on the pole to try and double dip on the weekend tonight. Hooks a tough foe for this level in #2 though. I ll slot him right in behind. 2 Full on Rocknroll Plunges all the way to the basement here tonight into a VERY cozy spot for him. No excuses here, should be able to deliver the knockout blow against these. I ll try it ICE COLD, 2-1! 3 Corner a Virgin Keep in mind he raced better here last time than it looks on paper, as he got involved in an all out war against #4 in the early stages. A smoother journey could put him in play here for a minor share at a nice price. 4 JK Hall Gave way late here after dueling #3 in early stages last time. Still hasn t proven he packs enough speed to hang with the top ones at this level locally. I ll wait until we see some improvement. 5 Jenna s 13yo veteran hasn t had any success of late, and would have to step things up a lot to hang with these. Not tonight. Dream 6 Smarter Yet Classy veteran took some tote attention in his return to the red clay, but he came up completely empty in there. Would need a complete turnaround to hang with top ones in here, even with dip down to the bottom level. 7 Hillcrest Bigdaddy Racing evenly of late, but still going to have to pick things up if he is going to make any major noise. Hard to endorse right now. 8 Come on Red Didn t have the easiest of trips here last time on the dip down, but I still thought he raced a bit flat in that effort. Will need his very best punch tonight from outside post against solid group. Maybe. 9 Last Flight In Should continue to improve in 2 nd start back after extended layoff tonight, but not quite sure she is ready to contend for any of the major awards just yet. Pass for now. 10 Mama s Home Lands on the outside of good group for this level tonight, where she will almost certainly have to do it from last. I ll wait for a better spot.

5 Race 13 Selections c Super Hi-Five Wagering 1 I am Will Should get away with a nice up-close trip after landing on the pole tonight, but will have to find a bit more pop on the end of it still to make any major noise. Needs his absolute best punch. 2 The Rockinator Didn t fire over the off track here on Thursday, but had been much better in prior starts at this level. Needs a quick rebound tonight. Maybe. 3 Glammit Gets to dip in for her easiest local assignment to date, but will still have to prove she packs enough stamina in late stages to hang with top ones in here. Will need her very best punch. 4 Just Fred Fred seems to be rounding the corner of late, splitting rivals late on Thursday to rally for a solid 2 nd in behind the heavy fav there. Steps up a level tonight though, will have to prove it against these. 5 Bo Knows to Win I was a bit disappointed in him on Thursday, as he was only even after setting things up with a perfect trip from a tough post. Lands a better post in a fairly wide open crew tonight. Maybe. 6 Wilcox Hasn t had his fastball working of late, and hooks a tough group again tonight. Pass for now. 7 Scarlet V Just ok in her first dip into this level last week, I was honestly a bit disappointed that she couldn t hold 2 nd in there after a picture perfect trip in behind the heavy fav and eventual winner. Will have to step things up a bit. 8 Bettorme boy Has been finishing close at this level of late, and appears to be in play for a minor share again tonight. I will consider for the bottom of Super Hi-Five. 9 Archetto 3 rd start back tonight after an extended layoff, and I would expect to see some more improvement, as he gets a slight class drop tonight as well. Won t be easy from out here, but no question he fits with these. 10 Firstclass allthway Rallied from what seemed to be an impossible spot here on Thursday, but exploded through the final 1/16 to win fairly easily. Lands back in a tough post here, but veteran seems to have the class edge over these.
