Intello colt. Dam, 1½m winner, closely related to useful 2-y-o 1m winner (stayed easy 1½m) Mooakada. Newcomers from yard often fancied. 2 3 EARL OF HARROW 80 Mick Channon George Downing Foaled April 20. Sixties Icon colt. Brother to winner up to 7f Juventas and halfbrother to 1m-1½m winner The Windtester. Dam, 1½m winner, also won over hurdles/fences. 3 5 EDMOND DANTES (IRE) 80 David Menuisier Kieran Shoemark Foaled March 6. Alhebayeb colt. Half-brother to useful 1m winner History Writer. Dam lightly-raced half-sister to 11f/1½m winner Sub Rose and 1½m winner Astonishing (both smart). 4 7 L UN DEUX TROIS (IRE) (19) 80 9 Michael Bell 50,000 yearling, Mastercraftsman colt. Brother to useful 11f-13f winner Sea Lieutenant. 66/1, ninth of 11 in maiden at Ascot (7f, good to firm) on debut 19 days ago. Significantly up in trip. 5 1 PABLO ESCOBARR (IRE) (22) t William Haggas Promising individual. 9/2, first run since leaving Mark Johnston when second of 10 in maiden at this course (8f, good to firm) 22 days ago, clear of rest. Tongue strap now on. Sets clear standard. 6 4 PRINCE LLYR (IRE) (120) Heather Main Poppy Bridgwater (5lb/2kg) Twice-raced gelding. Ninth of 10 in maiden at Leicester (6f, good, 66/1). Off 120 days. Significantly up in trip and much more needed CRYSTAL TIARA (14) kg Mick Channon Callum Shepherd Twice-raced filly. 50/1, better effort when sixth of 7 in maiden at Carlisle (7.8f, heavy) 14 days ago. Up in trip, and much more needed UNIVERSAL SONG kg Seamus Mullins John Egan Foaled February 9. Universal filly. Dam unraced. 12 DECLARED RUNNERS 5-4 Pablo Escobarr, 13-2 The Olympian, 7-1 Alramz, 16-1 Slade King, 18-1 Vexed, 20-1 Earl of Harrow, 25-1 Crystal Tiara, 28-1 L un Deux Trois, 28-1 Edmond Dantes, 33-1 The Pink n, 33-1 Universal Song, 66-1 bar PABLO ESCOBARR sets a very high standard and will be a tough nut to crack, especially as the longer trip should be right up the son of Galileo s street. The Olympian made a promising start at Windsor, and looks the main threat, though Alramz is a likely-looking newcomer and strong market support for him would be interesting to say the least. 1. PABLO ESCOBARR (IRE) 2. THE OLYMPIAN (IRE) 3. 3 2.30 RACE 2 MALTSMITHS OPTIONAL CLAIMING HANDICAP (2) 4yo+ 30,000 1m (1610 Metres) page 3 of 8 Draw: Favours Low Pace Information: Even 1 1 SOUTH SEAS (IRE) (41) 98 2/ kg Andrew Balding Some creditable efforts in defeat this season but again gave trouble at the start when fifth of 6 in Group 3 at Salisbury last month. Potentially on a handy mark. LONDON PROTOCOL took advantage of a much-reduced mark at Carlisle 2 weeks ago and has obvious claims on these terms. South Seas has the ability to go close off top weight, while Mister Music took a step back in the right direction at Sandown. 1. LONDON PROTOCOL (FR) 2. SOUTH SEAS (IRE) 3. MISTER MUSIC 36% Silvestre De Sousa s strike rate on favourites since the start of the 2013 season (rides: LONDON PROTOCOL) 2 4 MUKALAL (15) (D) v kg Marcus Tregoning Jim Crowley Back to very best when narrow winner at Leicester 2 weeks ago in this headgear and claims if visor has the desired effect again. 3 3 EXAMINER (IRE) (19) (D) t P kg Stuart Williams Useful on his day, as demonstrated when defying a reduced mark at Newmarket in April. Reportedly bled when pulled up back at that venue in May but back on track when fifth at Ascot 19 days ago. 4 8 LAMLOOM (IRE) (14) (D) kg David O Meara Latest win at Pontefract in July but just the one creditable effort from 4 outings since. 5 7 LONDON PROTOCOL (FR) (14) (D) v kg K. R. Burke Silvestre De Sousa Best effort for a while when taking advantage of reduced mark at Carlisle 2 weeks ago. Plenty to like about that performance and remains well treated off 1 lb lower. 6 5 ENIGMATIC (IRE) (7) (D, BF) kg Alan Bailey Josephine Gordon Latest win at Yarmouth in May and good placed efforts 3 of 4 starts since. Soft ground an unknown. 7 6 MISTER MUSIC (12) (CD) kg Tony Carroll Sophie Ralston (7lb/3kg) Four-time AW winner earlier in the year and easily best effort on turf since when second at Sandown under this rider 12 days ago, nearest at the finish. Player if building on that. 8 2 SEDUCE ME (3) (D) kg K. R. Burke Jimmy Quinn Largely struggled this season, including at Hamilton 3 days ago, but is well handicapped and has winning form in the mud. Headgear left off. 9 9 SIR RODERIC (IRE) (13) (D) (7-13) 50.8kg (50.3kg) Rod Millman Kieran O Neill Improved on recent efforts to win 11-runner handicap at Windsor (second past the post but subsequently promoted) and good third under a penalty at Ffos Las since. Trip/ground fine. 9 DECLARED RUNNERS 7-2 London Protocol, 7-1 South Seas, 7-1 Mukalal, 15-2 Sir Roderic, 8-1 Enigmatic, 10-1 Mister Music, 12-1 Examiner, 12-1 Lamloom, 12-1 Seduce Me

4 3.05 RACE 3 DRINK WAREHOUSE UK IMPERIAL HANDICAP (4) 3yo+ (Rated 0-80) 14,100 6f (1210 Metres) page 4 of 8 Draw: Favours Low Pace Information: Strong 1 6 MAJOR PUSEY (2) (C, D) kg John Gallagher Charlie Bennett Course winner who ran well from his reduced mark when finding only an improving 3-y-o too good at Haydock (5f) earlier this month. Ran badly at Leicester on Monday, however, and is hit and miss. 2 2 BLAINE (33) (D) b kg Brian Barr Poppy Bridgwater (5lb/2kg) Made wining return at Newbury (6f) in May 2017 but it s all been rather downhill since, failing to fire either outing this term. 3 1 HANDYTALK (IRE) (29) (D) kg Rod Millman Both wins over sprint trips, and he went close again at Epsom (6f) in July. Excused pair of exploits over 7f but his latest effort back at aforementioned venue was simply disappointing. 4 3 ICONIC KNIGHT (IRE) (23) kg Ed Walker Enjoying a productive campaign, gaining his second success at Windsor (5f) earlier this month, staying on well. Has become much more straightforward and he s of interest again. 5 9 DELAGATE THIS LORD (18) (D) kg Michael Attwater Luke Morris Majority of this season s efforts have been at least respectable, doing best of those ridden close up when third at Ascot (5f) latest. Has to merit respect again MULLIONHEIR (19) (D) kg John Best Silvestre De Sousa Struggles to win nowadays though back to best and unlucky to bump in to a progressive 3-y-o at Ascot (6f) most recently. Respected again under De Sousa from 1 lb higher mark LADY DANCEALOT (IRE) (7) (CD, BF) kg David Elsworth Gerald Mosse C&D winner who has largely run with credit despite not getting her head infront this campaign. Not seen to best effect at Yarmouth last time but the assessor is proving slow to relinquish his grip CHARMING GUEST (IRE) (22) (D) kg Mick Channon Successful for the third time this season on penultimate start at Epsom. However, profile has a rather patchy look to it and she was found wanting under a penalty at Leicester next time. 9 7 MET BY MOONLIGHT (32) (D) kg Ron Hodges Kieran O Neill Latest win at Bath in June. Ninth of 10 in handicap at Windsor (8.1f, good to firm, 11/1) 32 days ago. Back down in trip. Others more persuasive SWANTON BLUE (IRE) (30) (D, BF) kg Ed de Giles William Cox (5lb/2kg) Defied a 1 lb lower mark on return at Chepstow (6f) n June and back to that sort of level when runner-up in selling company at that venue last month. This understandably tougher DEEDS NOT WORDS (IRE) (48) (CD) s (8-6) 54.0kg (53.5kg) Michael Wigham John Egan Latest win at Yarmouth in July. Fifth of 6 in handicap at Brighton (7f, good to soft) 34 days ago, not knocked about. Given more time ahead of this but he is operating from 1 lb out of the weights. 12 DECLARED RUNNERS 5-1 Iconic Knight, 7-1 Major Pusey, 15-2 Mullionheir, 8-1 Delagate This Lord, 10-1 Lady Dancealot, 12-1 Charming Guest, 14-1 Handytalk, 14-1 Swanton Blue, 14-1 Just An Idea, 16-1 Met By Moonlight, 25-1 Deeds Not Words, 33-1 Blaine MULLIONHEIR isn t the most frequent of winners, yet there is no doubting he is capable of defying this sort of mark judged on his solid second behind an upwardly-mobile 3-yo at Ascot 3 weeks ago and, with De Sousa again in the plate, he is selected to come out on top. Iconic Knight and Delagate This Lord are also fancied to feature. 1. MULLIONHEIR 2. ICONIC KNIGHT (IRE) 3. DELAGATE THIS LORD WINNERS IN PREVIOUS YEARS: 2017 Showmethewayavrilo Malcolm Saunders Charlie Bennett (3) Symposium f William Haggas Georgia Cox (5) Divine Call Milton Bradley Franny Norton Joey s Destiny f George Baker Thomas Brown (3) Ron Hodges s profit when having one runner at a flat meeting since the start of the 2013 season (saddles: MET BY MOONLIGHT) David Elsworth s profit when having one runner at a flat meeting since the start of the 2013 season (saddles: LADY DANCEALOT) 37% s strike rate on favourites since the start of the 2013 season (rides: ICONIC KNIGHT) 10 4 JUST AN IDEA (IRE) (8) (D) b kg Harry Dunlop Josephine Gordon Latest win at Chepstow (6f) in August. Hasn t scaled same heights either outing subsequently though, and percentage call is to look elsewhere.

5 3.35 RACE 4 BRITISH STALLION STUDS EBF FOUNDATION STAKES (Listed) (1) 3yo+ 80,000 1m1f197y (1990 Metres) page 5 of 8 Draw: N/A Pace Information: Weak Brian Meehan s profit with favourites since the start of the 2013 season (saddles: SPARK PLUG) 1 1 FIRST SITTING (32) (CD) kg Chris Wall Gerald Mosse Gained C&D listed win for the second year in a row in May. Hasn t quite matched that form since but he s a player on these terms at a venue he is clearly very effective at. 2 6 PLUTONIAN (IRE) (13) (D) kg Charles Hills Jamie Spencer Put a low-key reappearance right behind him when making all in 7-runner handicap at Windsor in May. Excellent second of 15 in Glorious Goodwood handicap next time and easy to excuse Doncaster defeat. 3 3 SPARK PLUG (IRE) (67) (D) s kg Brian Meehan Behind First Sitting in a brace of C&D listed events in the last 18 months, but he is just about weighted to reverse the form if shrugging off a heavy defeat at Newbury in July. 4 2 CANBERRA CLIFFS (IRE) (88) (C, D) kg Gary Moore Value for extra when making second start for this yard a winning one over 12f here in May. Better than the result at Windsor soon after but this a tough ask on these terms back from a break. 5 4 COLONIAL CLASSIC (FR) (108) (C, D) t 88 97/ kg James Fanshawe Martin Harley Wasn t beaten fair despite finishing last of 7 in this grade at Nottingham in June, but that was a steadily-run affair so it s not solid form. More needed. 6 7 GABR (59) (BF) t kg Sir Michael Stoute Jim Crowley Minor winner over 1m at Yarmouth, and better form this year, his sixth-place finish in the St James s Palace Stakes flanked by excellent runner-up efforts. Tongue tie on following Pontefract defeat. 7 5 THREADING (IRE) (18) (C) kg Mark Johnston Silvestre De Sousa Smart filly who took a listed contest at York (7.9f) in May prior to an excellent second in the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot. Hasn t hit those heights since and now upped in trip. 7 DECLARED RUNNERS 3-1 Spark Plug, 10-3 Gabr, 7-2 First Sitting, 13-2 Plutonian, 7-1 Threading, 22-1 Canberra Cliffs, 33-1 Colonial Classic SPARK PLUG and First Sitting have previous over this C&D, and though the latter currently leads the head-to-head two nil, the former now receives 3 lb, and that could just tip the balance. 3-y-o Gabr sports a first-time tongue tie and is a definite threat. 1. SPARK PLUG (IRE) 2. FIRST SITTING 3. Steps into unknown territory now, stamina wise, but must enter calculations. 2 4 WHAT A HOME (IRE) (34) b+t kg William Haggas Not disgraced in Group 3/listed company this term, shaping as if well worth a crack at this longer trip, and is worth consideration with booked. Blinkers on first time. 3 3 LUIRE (IRE) (42) kg Clive Cox Gerald Mosse No impact in either start for Clive Cox and is best watched at present. 4 2 GRACELAND (FR) (35) kg Michael Bell Louis Steward Hasn t fired on all cylinders so far this season and remains 6 lb above last winning mark. 5 7 FIRE JET (IRE) (33) (D) kg John Mackie Jimmy Quinn Progressive in 2017, winning 3 times, and went close at Newmarket in May. Not really built on that effort, though, and others more persuasive. 6 1 ELASIA (33) (BF) kg Roger Varian Promising filly who followed up her Newcastle novice win in convincing fashion at Kempton (12f) last month. Not seen to best effect at Newmarket last time and is one to take seriously here. 7 5 PRETTY JEWEL (14) (C) kg Ian Williams Kieran O Neill Winner of 4 of her first 5 starts for new yard this year, and upped her game further when third in a competitive handicap at Doncaster (11.9f) last time. Not ruled out. 8 8 CODICIL (118) kg Sir Mark Prescott Bt Luke Morris Won all 4 starts (at up to 8.1f) as a juvenile but ran poorly on sole outing this term and takes a huge step up in trip on return here. Had wind operation. 8 DECLARED RUNNERS 11-4 Elasia, 3-1 Lorelina, 11-2 What A Home, 13-2 Pretty Jewel, 14-1 Fire Jet, 16-1 Codicil, 18-1 Graceland, 20-1 Luire It could be worth giving another chance to ELASIA, who remains low-mileage and wasn t suited by the steady gallop when runner-up at Newmarket last month. Lorelina is in the form of her life and is not taken lightly, whilst What A Home could step up on this season s efforts now granted a stiffer test of stamina. 1. ELASIA 2. LORELINA 3. WHAT A HOME (IRE)

7 4.40 RACE 6 BIRRA MORETTI HANDICAP (4) 4yo+ (Rated 0-85) 13,600 1m1f11y (1820 Metres) page 7 of 8 Draw: N/A Pace Information: Strong 1 8 MASTER CARPENTER (IRE) (5) (D) kg Rod Millman Not won for a while but back on a very good mark and hinted at a revival at Newbury on Friday. Underfoot conditions in his favour and could be set for a big run. 2 1 ZLATAN (IRE) (12) kg Ed de Giles Callum Shepherd Ended losing run in very weak 10f Sandown handicap a fortnight ago, able to build up a fairly comfortable lead from 3f out. This is a lot tougher from 5 lb higher mark. 3 7 MAN OF HARLECH (25) (D) h kg Jim Boyle Charlie Bennett Hit the target when equipped with cheekpieces for the first time at Lingfield (9f) in May. Disappointing last twice, virtually refusing to race at Sandown last time. Hard to fancy HIGH ACCLAIM (USA) (12) kg Roger Teal Josephine Gordon Not so good in 4 runs since his 50/1 Spring Mile success on the first day of the season but is fairly fresh for the time of year and relishes the mud ASHAZURI (48) h kg Jonathan Portman Rob Hornby Has won twice at Lingfield (turf) over 10f this season. Did too much too soon racing freely at Brighton last time and more needed here back from a break. 11 DECLARED RUNNERS 11-2 Master Carpenter, 13-2 Oh It s Saucepot, 7-1 Secret Return, 15-2 Abel Tasman, 17-2 Zlatan, 11-1 Harlequin Striker, 11-1 Ashazuri, 12-1 Family Fortunes, 16-1 Black Caesar, 18-1 High Acclaim, 25-1 Man of Harlech MASTER CARPENTER is now 10 lb lower than his last winning mark and could be set to strike again with the ground in his favour after a promising run at Newbury on Friday. Oh It s Saucepot and Abel Tasman are a couple of the other key players. 1. MASTER CARPENTER (IRE) 2. OH IT S SAUCEPOT 3. ABEL TASMAN Rod Millman s profit with favourites since the start of the 2013 season (saddles: MASTER CARPENTER) Jonathan Portman s profit when having one runner at a flat meeting since the start of the 2013 season (saddles: ASHAZURI) 5 11 OH IT S SAUCEPOT (41) (D) kg Chris Wall George Wood Won 3 handicaps in quick succession last season and ran well when second behind all-the-way winner at Yarmouth last time. Has another race in her. 6 2 FAMILY FORTUNES (19) kg Michael Madgwick Kieran O Neill A couple of good seconds this year, including for new yard at Windsor last month over 10f, but remains without a win since early 3-y-o victories on AW. 7 4 ABEL TASMAN (25) kg Ed Walker Off the mark in Haydock handicap over extended 10f in May and ran well at Sandown last time, nearest finish. Player back up in trip under. 8 9 SECRET RETURN (IRE) (25) (BF) kg Paul George Jamie Spencer Successful twice this year and should strip fitter for recent Sandown run after 10 weeks off under this rider. Still lightly raced and gone well on soft previously. 9 6 BLACK CAESAR (IRE) (16) kg Philip Hide Good record at Brighton so latest run there was disappointing. Could find this too tough back up in trip HARLEQUIN STRIKER (IRE) (48) s kg Dean Ivory Martin Dwyer Back to his best when just denied at Sandown early last month, always prominent and headed again close home after regaining lead. This is tougher up 3 lb.

Visor on first time PEGGIE SUE (22) (D) kg Adam West Toby Eley (5lb/2kg) 3 wins from 8 runs this term, latest on easy ground at Sandown (5.1f) last month. Others appear better treated, however. 5 7 GHEPARDO (24) (D) kg Patrick Chamings William Carver (7lb/3kg) Left this term s previous efforts behind when close second of 8 in handicap at Brighton (5.3f, good) 24 days ago. 3 lb higher now but should go well again. 6 8 WHO TOLD JO JO (IRE) (26) (D) s kg Joseph Tuite Finley Marsh Twice a winner earlier this year but more recent efforts have left plenty to be desired. 7 4 WOTADOLL (12) (D) (8-6) 54.4kg (53.5kg) Dean Ivory Gabriele Malune Dual winner last season and made the frame on several occasions this term.
