2 2.30 RACE 1 QUEEN ANNE STAKES (Group 1) (1) 4yo+ 685,000 1m (1610 Metres) (Str.) page 2 of 11 Draw: Against High Pace Information: Strongly Contested 1 16 AMERICAN PATRIOT (USA) (67) (D) b kg Todd A. Pletcher, USA Frankie Dettori Resumed progress in the US with success in 1m Grade 1 at Keeneland in April. More needed to get competitive here but will appreciate conditions and a place certainly not beyond possible. 2 7 COUGAR MOUNTAIN (IRE) (44) (D, BF) s+t kg Donnacha O Brien Third in this in 2015 and probably unlucky not to win Leopardstown Group 3 last time, but falls short of the top level. 3 6 DEAUVILLE (IRE) (23) s kg Ryan Moore A Group 1 winner in the US and made all in the Huxley Stakes at Chester last month. Not beaten far at the Curragh last time but that looked a weak Group 1 and he s vulnerable back at 1m. 4 2 DUTCH CONNECTION (227) (C) 94 5/ kg James Doyle All wins over 7f, including the 2015 Jersey. Ended 2016 out of sorts and suspect he ll fall short faced with strongly-run 1m on return. 5 5 DUTCH UNCLE (55) s kg Robert Cowell Martin Harley Useful handicapper at up to 11f for Ed Dunlop. Looks firmly out of his depth on his first run for a new yard here ENNAADD (48) (D, BF) / kg Roger Varian Made great strides on AW at 2 and 3, winning 4 times over 1m, and back on track when beaten just a neck in C&D listed race last time. This is a big step up in grade, but could easily progress again JALLOTA (10) kg Silvestre De Sousa As consistent as they come over 7f, running another mighty race when going down by just half a length in Haydock Group 3 last time. This surely too tough, though. 8 3 KASPERSKY (IRE) (20) (D) kg Jane Chapple-Hyam Michelle Payne Smart miler in Italy and returned to something like the peak of his form there when second in Nottingham handicap last time. Doubt he s Group 1 class. 9 8 KOOL KOMPANY (IRE) (17) (D) kg Pat Smullen Successful return in 1m Doncaster listed event and good fourth in the Diomed at Epsom last time. This looks a step up too far, though, and well beaten in 2 previous trips to Royal Ascot to boot LIGHTNING SPEAR (31) (D) 96 30/ kg David Simcock Jamie Spencer Third in this last year and even better since, winning Celebration Mile at Goodwood in August. Should have come on for reappearance behind Ribchester at Newbury and big chance back on quicker ground MUTAKAYYEF (87) (C, D) / kg William Haggas Jim Crowley 2 wins last year included the Summer Mile here and he looked a shade rusty back from 6 months off in the Dubai Turf in March. Solid place claims back over 1m on quicker ground OH THIS IS US (IRE) (17) (D) kg Pat Dobbs Has won 1m Bath handicap and 7f Haydock listed event this season and would probably have landed the Diomed at Epsom with a clear passage. Hard to see him being up to Group 1 class though RIBCHESTER (IRE) (31) (C, D) kg William Buick Won the Jersey last year and has raised the bar again this season, making all in impressive style from Lightning Spear in the Lockinge last month. The best miler in Europe and the one to beat TOSCANINI (IRE) (31) kg Paul Hanagan Listed/Group 3 winner over 6f in Ireland for Mick Halford last term. Presumably in as pacemaker for Ribchester in the Lockinge last time but blew start/always behind. Impossible to fancy MISS TEMPLE CITY (USA) (198) (D) t 94 2/ kg H. Graham Motion, USA Edgar S. Prado Three-time 1m Grade 1 winner in the US in 2016 and has run good races at Royal Ascot the last 2 years. Goes well fresh and no back-number SPECTRE (FR) (17) kg M. Munch, Germany Stephane Pasquier Group 3 winner with some good efforts in Group 1s to her name, including when fourth to Ribchester at Deauville last summer. Unlikely to be good enough here though even if back to her peak. 16 DECLARED RUNNERS evens Ribchester, 13-2 Lightning Spear, 9-1 Mutakayyef, 20-1 Deauville, 22-1 American Patriot, 25-1 Ennaadd, 28-1 Dutch Connection, 33-1 Miss Temple City, 40-1 bar The progression of RIBCHESTER shows little signs of slowing down and he was better than ever when winning the Lockinge last time. Consistent and likeable, he can confirm himself as the leading miler in Europe with a second Royal Ascot success. Lightning Spear should have come on for his return behind that rival at Newbury and can follow him home again, while Mutakayyef has solid place claims. 1. RIBCHESTER (IRE) 2. LIGHTNING SPEAR 3. 3 3.05 RACE 2 COVENTRY STAKES (Group 2) (1) 2yo 150,000 6f (1210 Metres) page 3 of 11 Draw: Against Low Pace Information: Strongly Contested 1 10 AQABAH (USA) (24) (C) h kg Charlie Appleby William Buick Useful effort when taking 6-runner minor event here (5f, good to firm) on debut but only fourth behind Brother Bear at the Curragh next time, albeit on slower ground. Hooded ARAWAK (USA) (25) b+t 90 Wesley A. Ward, USA John R. Velazquez Easily landed the odds in 4-runner maiden at Belmont (5f) 25 days ago, slowly away, and has to be feared given his yard s record with 2-y-os at this meeting. Tongue strap added to blinkers. 3 8 BROTHER BEAR (IRE) (24) (D) 99 1 Mrs J. Harrington, Ireland Colm O Donoghue Cosy winner of 12-runner maiden at Leopardstown on debut and made light work of step up in class when following up in listed event at the Curragh, posting a good time. One for the shortlist CHOOKIE DUNEDIN (27) (D) 80 Keith Dalgleish Dougie Costello Half-brother to several winners, including smart 6f-9.5f winner Chookie Royale. Knew his job when making all in an ordinary event at Ayr and this is a massive step up CONNERY (IRE) (17) kg Sylvester Kirk Martin Dwyer Some promise when second of 8 in maiden at Lingfield (5f, good) on debut 17 days ago, faring best of those ridden prominently, but plenty to find on form DE BRUYNE HORSE (18) (D) Sean Levey Needed the experience when fifth at Newmarket debut and improved markedly to win next 2 starts, including the Woodcote at Epsom 18 days ago. Will go on improving and big player DENAAR (IRE) (31) (D) 99 1 Frankie Dettori Looked a good prospect when readily justifying short odds on 5f Chelmsford debut and booked his place for this when following up with a bit in hand in minor event at Newbury. One to consider. 8 2 HADDAF (IRE) (26) kg James Tate Useful form in defeat last 2 starts and step up to 6f will suit but unlikely he ll be breaking his maiden in this HEADWAY (24) (D) 83 2 William Haggas Pat Cosgrave Landed the odds in good style in 6f Chester maiden last month but plenty more needed here IVY LEAGUER (8) kg Brian Meehan Silvestre De Sousa Big price when down the field in minor event at Windsor and makes no appeal MURILLO (USA) (26) t 95 6 Ryan Moore Left debut well behind when impressive winner of Tipperary maiden and has to be respected given his yard s superb record in this event NEBO (IRE) (32) (D) 95 Jim Crowley Looked a useful prospect when beating 4 subsequent winners at Newbury last month so well worth a crack at this higher level PRINCE OF THE DARK (25) (D) s 83 Clive Cox Adam Kirby Lethal Force colt who looked potentially useful in justifying market support at Bath but that was only an ordinary event. Headgear on RAJASINGHE (IRE) (32) (D) 93 Richard Spencer Stevie Donohoe Precociously bred and made a promising start to career when winning 13-runner minor event at Newcastle, drawing right away in the final 1f. Respected RED ROMAN (33) (D) 91 4 Christophe Soumillon Put debut experience to good use when making all in novice event at Newmarket but needs to take another big step forward ROMANISED (IRE) (57) (D) t 92 K. J. Condon, Ireland Shane Foley Plenty of stamina in pedigree so highly promising he was able to beat 17 rivals in what looked a useful maiden at Navan on debut in April. Tongue tied U S NAVY FLAG (USA) (24) t kg Seamie Heffernan Fairly useful form in defeat last 2 starts but doesn t appear to be that high up his powerful stable s pecking order ZAMAN (24) (D) 87 Charlie Appleby James Doyle Bought expensively at the Craven breeze-up sale and duly knew his job well and making a successful debut at York last month, but William Buick seemingly prefers Aqabah. 18 DECLARED RUNNERS 5-1 Brother Bear, 15-2 De Bruyne Horse, 8-1 Denaar, 9-1 Arawak, 10-1 Murillo, 14-1 Nebo, 14-1 Rajasinghe, 16-1 Romanised, 22-1 Aqabah, 25-1 Zaman, 28-1 Red Roman, 28-1 Prince of The Dark, 33-1 Haddaf, 33-1 Headway, 40-1 bar DE BRUYNE HORSE produced one of the best performances by a juvenile this year when winning the Woodcote at Epsom last time and makes the most appeal. His stablemate Denaar is another to consider, with Irish-pair Brother Bear and Murillo making up the shortlist. 1. DE BRUYNE HORSE 2. DENAAR (IRE) 3. 5 3.40 RACE 3 KING S STAND STAKES (Group 1) (1) 3yo+ 400,000 5f (1010 Metres) page 5 of 11 Draw: Against Low Pace Information: Strongly Contested 1 14 ALPHA DELPHINI (24) (CD) v kg Bryan Smart Connor Beasley Listed winner last season and signed off with a close second to Cotai Glory at Newbury. Personal best when third in Group 2 Temple Stakes last month but he has a bit to find at this level. Visored. 2 5 ARDHOOMEY (IRE) (37) (D) t kg G. M. Lyons, Ireland Colin Keane Career highlight when landing Group 2 sprint at the Curragh in September. Matched that form when twice runner-up this spring but this comfortably his toughest assignment COTAI GLORY (24) (D) kg Silvestre De Sousa Found only Profitable too good in this race a year ago and ran to a similar level when winning World Trophy at Newbury (by a short head from Alpha Delphini) in September. Hasn t fired both 2017 runs. 4 3 FINAL VENTURE (11) (D) h kg Paul Midgley Pat Dobbs Won 4 times in 2016 and progressed further since joining this yard, adding pair of handicaps at Meydan (both at 6f) early this year. Haydock listed win latest a couple of notches below this level GOLDREAM (24) (CD) s kg Robert Cowell Martin Harley Twice successful at highest level in 2015, winning this race (by a short head from Medicean Man) and Prix de l Abbaye at Longchamp. Last year was disappointing, but Temple Stakes second more like it GRACIOUS JOHN (IRE) (45) (D) kg David Evans John Egan Showed trademark early zip when finding only Kimberella too good in valuable AW minor race in April. Heavy defeat in Newmarket Group 3 since and he s up against it even if back on song. 7 8 JUST GLAMOROUS (IRE) (37) (D) kg Ronald Harris Shane Kelly Rapidly progressed into a very smart performer last year, winning 4 times, the highlight being his all-the-way success in the Prix du Petit Couvert at Chantilly. No show both starts last month MEDICEAN MAN (87) (CD) s+t kg Jeremy Gask Admirable veteran who showed he is still capable of smart form when winning handicap at Meydan in January. Second in this race in 2015 and sixth last year but likely playing for minor honours. 9 2 MUTHMIR (IRE) (16) (D) s kg William Haggas Jim Crowley Smart performer who won Prix du Gros-Chene at Chantilly before finishing third to Goldream in this race in Failed to win last season but recent French Group 2 success good preparation for this ORNATE (11) (D) s kg Robert Cowell Pat Cosgrave Just a maiden win to his name but he is a smart performer, running well in a couple of Group 3 s at Newmarket this term for his new yard. Cheekpieces on but very hard to see him troubling the judge PROFITABLE (IRE) (38) (CD, BF) 96 5/ kg Clive Cox James Doyle Enjoyed terrific start to 2016, completing a hat-trick in pattern company in this race (by a neck from Cotai Glory) 12 months ago. Form tailed off after and has work to do with Signs of Blessing SIGNS OF BLESSING (IRE) (38) (D) kg Francois Rohaut, France Stephane Pasquier Better than ever in last year or so, finishing a close third to Twilight Son in Diamond Jubilee Stakes before recording first Group 1 win in France. Warmed up for this in style at Deauville TAKE COVER (24) (D) kg David C. Griffiths David Allan Speedy front runner who won listed race at Haydock (from Cotai Glory) and King George Stakes at Goodwood (by a neck from Washington DC) last term. Went with usual zest in the Temple Stakes on return WASHINGTON DC (IRE) (24) (CD, BF) t kg Ryan Moore Very smart colt who placed in top company on several occasions last year, including when third in Commonwealth Cup (6f). Cracking second to Marsha at Newmarket but no reason why he ll reverse form WILLYTHECONQUEROR (IRE) (16) (D) kg William Muir Martin Dwyer Hasn t done anything to suggest he s capable of troubling the judge in this exalted company MARSHA (IRE) (45) (D) kg Sir Mark Prescott Bt Luke Morris Well-made filly who improved right through her 3-y-o season, signing off with victory in Prix de l Abbaye at Chantilly. Picked up where she left off when successfully conceding weight at Newmarket PRICELESS (24) (D) kg Clive Cox Adam Kirby Much improved when winning listed race at Bath on return in April and better than bare result when fifth to Marsha at Newmarket. Bounced back with comfortable success in the Temple Stakes LADY AURELIA (USA) (66) (CD) kg Wesley A. Ward, USA Frankie Dettori High-class speedster who produced a devastating display in the Queen Mary Stakes over C&D 12 months ago. Lost unbeaten record at Newmarket but reappearance win suggests she s back on her game. 18 DECLARED RUNNERS 3-1 Lady Aurelia, 4-1 Marsha, 13-2 Signs of Blessing, 16-1 Priceless, 18-1 Washington Dc, 18-1 Muthmir, 20-1 Profitable, 20-1 Goldream, 33-1 Alpha Delphini, 33-1 Cotai Glory, 33-1 Ardhoomey, 40-1 bar LADY AURELIA s brazen show of speed in the Queen Mary was one of the highlights of last year s meeting, and with her reappearance suggesting she s back in excellent heart, she has to be the call in receipt of weight all round. Clear second choice is fellow-filly Marsha, who has tasted success at the very top level, with Signs of Blessing best of the rest. 1. LADY AURELIA (USA) 2. MARSHA (IRE) 3. Did very well to take second behind Churchill in 2000 Guineas and remains a top-class prospect. 2 5 CHURCHILL (IRE) (24) (C, D) kg Ryan Moore High-class colt who s unbeaten since debut, his last 4 wins coming in Group 1s, including the 2000 Guineas at Newmarket and Irish 2000 at the Curragh both starts this term. Deservedly heads betting. 3 6 FOREST RANGER (IRE) (33) (D) kg Tony Hamilton Improved on 2-y-o form when landing valuable event at Newcastle on return. Made little impression in Dante at York next time, however, and hard to fancy at this level. 4 1 LANCASTER BOMBER (USA) (24) kg Donnacha O Brien Just one win to his name but has performed pacemaking duties admirably of late, including a very smart performance when one and a quarter lengths fourth in 2000 Guineas. May sneak a place at big odds. 5 3 MR SCARAMANGA (18) (D) kg Simon Dow Harry Bentley Group 2 winner in Doha earlier this year and useful form in defeat in listed events on 2 of his 3 starts back in this country, but out of his depth here Galileo Gold Hugo Palmer Frankie Dettori Gleneagles f Aidan O Brien Ryan Moore Kingman f John Gosden James Doyle Dawn Approach f J. Below par both outings this season, albeit not seen to best effect in French 2000 Guineas last month. Headgear applied. 7 7 RIVET (IRE) (16) (D) kg William Haggas Winner of the Champagne Stakes and Racing Post Trophy last season. Best effort this term when third in French 2000 Guineas before failing to settle in Prix du Jockey Club. Fair bit more needed. 8 2 THUNDER SNOW (IRE) (24) (D) s P kg Saeed bin Suroor Christophe Soumillon Smart colt. Completed UAE 2000 Guineas/Derby double in the spring but blotted his copybook in Kentucky Derby, bucking leaving stall. No match for Churchill in Irish Guineas since. Headgear on. 8 DECLARED RUNNERS 8-11 Churchill, 11-4 Barney Roy, 10-1 Thunder Snow, 28-1 Lancaster Bomber, 33-1 Rivet, 40-1 bar The Guineas 1-2 Churchill and BARNEY ROY are several pounds clear on Timeform ratings, and this could develop into a duel. From a value point of view, Barney Roy looks the better bet, given he has only a length to find on his rival and has been kept fresh since. He will also have learnt plenty from his Newmarket experience, only the third run of his career. 1. BARNEY ROY 2. CHURCHILL (IRE) 3. THUNDER SNOW (IRE)

Yard landed this in 2010 and one to note in the betting SHREWD (66) (BF) kg Iain Jardine Clifford Lee (5lb/2kg) Produced some big efforts at York last year, winning there in June before a staying-on second in the Ebor. Possibly needed the run on return at Musselburgh and place possibilities if on-song. 3 8 SUEGIOO (FR) (24) s kg Tony Hamilton Hasn t got his head in front since landing the 2014 Chester Cup. Went agonisingly close when edged out by Yorkidding at Haydock last time but, not for the first time, he was essentially outbattled THOMAS HOBSON (1333) (D) kg W. P. Mullins, Ireland Ryan Moore Last seen out in this sphere back in 2013 but has since made up into a smart hurdler, landing a big pot at Fairyhouse in April. Yard has won this twice in recent years (both ridden by Ryan Moore). 5 6 YORKIDDING (24) (C) kg Mark Johnston Richard Kingscote Better than ever this year, placed first 3 starts of the campaign, including in the Chester Cup, prior to getting her head back in front at Haydock last month. However, this is a tougher assignment. 6 5 CLEONTE (IRE) (45) 93 12/ kg Andrew Balding Jim Crowley Useful in France for Andre Fabre, winning 15f Deauville listed event last summer. Well beaten when last of 5 on return/debut for new yard in a Newmarket Group 2, though, and stamina to prove MAGIC CIRCLE (IRE) (41) 100 1/ kg Ralph Beckett Silvestre De Sousa Well held in the Queen Alexandra at this meeting 12 months ago, but was otherwise consistent in 2016 and shaped well in the Chester Cup last time when drawn wide. Leading contender HIGH SECRET (IRE) (24) / kg Paul Nicholls Megan Nicholls (5lb/2kg) Dual hurdles winner this year and put in a good shift back on the Flat when runner-up at Goodwood last month. Stamina virtually assured and he s an intriguing candidate from top jumps yard. 9 2 STAR RIDER (60) s 94 1/ kg Hughie Morrison Adam Kirby Stays very well, winning marathon events at Goodwood and Newmarket last season. However, failed to progress over hurdles during the winter and well held back in this sphere at Newbury in April COSMELLI (ITY) (10) b kg Gay Kelleway David Egan (5lb/2kg) Five-time winner in Italy, but well held both starts on these shores and hard to make a case for him here ENDLESS ACRES (IRE) (32) v kg Charlie Fellowes Stevie Donohoe Made the frame on each of his 4 starts last season and off the mark in 2m Kempton handicap on return in April. Solid efforts in defeat both runs since and there could be more to come from this 4-y-o OCEANE (FR) (39) (C) s kg Alan King Fergus Sweeney Won competitive handicaps here and at York (unlucky not to score at Goodwood in between) last season. Back to form when runner-up over 2m back here last time and he s one to consider GALIZZI (USA) (333) t kg Tim Vaughan Daniel Muscutt Won 2m Goodwood handicap on debut for Charlie Appleby last term, but looked a non-stayer in 2016 renewal of this race and bit to prove starting out for new yard following an 11-month layoff WHO DARES WINS (IRE) (41) s / kg Alan King Tom Marquand Fit from a productive hurdles campaign, he was unlucky not to go very close indeed back in this sphere in the Chester Cup (denied a clear run). Remains unexposed as a stayer and he s high on the list MOORSIDE (45) 90 33/ kg Pat Smullen Runner-up in Cheshire Oaks last spring and opened her account at Kempton in August. However, has failed to progress subsequently and stamina concerns on this first foray beyond 1¾m CARTWRIGHT (32) v kg Sir Mark Prescott Bt Luke Morris Ended last term on a roll and continued progressive theme when winning a small-field AW handicap on return last month. Soft ground may have proved his undoing at Newmarket since and now visored GAVLAR (11) v kg William Knight Callum Shepherd (3lb/1kg) Resumed winning ways at Newcastle (16.2f) in March, but on a downward spiral since and he s clearly more of a potent weapon on the AW BEYOND CONCEIT (IRE) (1420) h kg Nicky Henderson Jamie Spencer Unraced in this sphere since 2013 but wellbeing in no doubt following a good hurdles campaign this year, runner-up in Aintree Grade 1 (hooded) latest. Stamina proven and should make a bold bid WOLFCATCHER (IRE) (371) s+t / kg Ian Williams William Buick Efforts over hurdles for new yard this year haven t been inspiring, and he was beaten a fair way in this race 12 months ago RAINBOW DREAMER (60) v kg Alan King Produced a career-best in this sphere when landing 2¼m handicap at Newbury in April. This is more demanding but, like stablemates Oceane and Who Dares Wins, he needs considering. 20 DECLARED RUNNERS 4-1 Thomas Hobson, 15-2 Who Dares Wins, 10-1 Beyond Conceit, 14-1 Magic Circle, 16-1 High Secret, 18-1 Oceane, 18-1 Yorkidding, 20-1 Endless Acres, 20-1 Rainbow Dreamer, 22-1 Suegioo, 25-1 Cartwright, 28-1 Star Rider, 28-1 Cleonte, 28-1 Iniciar, 33-1 Shrewd, 33-1 Moorside, 40-1 bar You have to go back to 2013 for when THOMAS HOBSON and Beyond Conceit were last seen out in this sphere, but they ve showcased their talent over hurdles in recent months and could be the pair to focus on. Preference is for Thomas Hobson, who looks tailor-made for this marathon. Who Dares Wins and Magic Circle, both major eyecatchers in the Chester Cup, and Endless Acres are others to consider.

Limitations exposed at a lesser level than this at Beverley 10 days ago. 6 9 CITY GUEST (IRE) (11) kg George Margarson Tom Queally Progressive form in 3 outings so far (at up to 6f) but hard to construct a case for him here CORINTHIA KNIGHT (IRE) (48) (D, BF) kg Archie Watson Luke Morris Bred to make a speedy 2-y-o and hit the ground running with a brace of AW minor wins in April. Beaten on merit by Frozen Angel switched to turf over C&D last month DAHIK (IRE) (18) (D) kg Roger Varian Dane O Neill Half-brother to several winners and upheld family honour when scoring at the third attempt at Bath 18 days ago. Bare form of that race probably doesn t do him justice DECLARATIONOFLOVE (IRE) (43) (D) kg Tom Clover Pat Cosgrave Provided a first winner for his sire on third outing at Windsor last month, travelling well throughout. This a fairly big leap forward DECLARATIONOFPEACE (USA) (41) (D) t kg Ryan Moore Bred to be smart and cost a packet as a foal, but confirmed debut promise in no uncertain terms at Dundalk last month (tongue tied each time). Clearly not short on speed and he sets the standard DRAGONS TAIL (IRE) (40) (D) kg Tom Dascombe Richard Kingscote Clearly derived plenty from his debut and was ultimately well on top come the line in a 7-runner Chester maiden last month. Deserves a shot at a race like this EXCELLENTLY POISED (10) (D) kg Bryan Smart Connor Beasley Created a favourable impression when winning 7-runner minor event on debut in April, but yard s runners forced into an enforced absence after and he wasn t in the same form at Beverley JAMES GARFIELD (IRE) (21) kg George Scott Harry Bentley Bred to be a 2-y-o and he clearly possesses plenty of ability judged on last month s Leicester debut, totally missing the break but briefly threatening June Dog, ultimately finishing third JUNE DOG (21) kg Sean Levey 62,000 breeze-up purchase who showed his racecourse debut run to be all wrong when an all-the-way winner at Leicester last month. Dominating this field a far tougher ask LAST PAGE (25) s 75 22U kg David Evans John Egan Unseated rider on third start but was more professional at Bath latest, no match for the winner but clear of the rest. Cheekpieces on and it s easy to look elsewhere MAGNUS (IRE) (14) (D) kg Tom Dascombe Off the mark at the third attempt despite hanging left at Wetherby a fortnight ago, but that form poles apart from what is needed here MOKAATIL (24) kg Owen Burrows Jim Crowley Six-figure purchase as a foal and showed plenty to work on when finding only a next-time-out winner too good at Salisbury last month. Can be expected to build on that ROUSSEL (IRE) (21) (D) kg Charlie Appleby James Doyle 360,000 purchase earlier this year and he landed significant support starting out at Leicester 3 weeks ago. Idled that day and bare form of that race doesn t do him justice. Lots more to come SIMMY S COPSHOP (30) (D) kg Paul Hanagan Looked fit beforehand and made the perfect start in minor company at Nottingham in April. Runner-up that day has franked the form since and subsequent third in Irish listed company was a sound run SOUND AND SILENCE (26) (D) s kg Charlie Appleby William Buick Got on top close home when seeing off a subsequent scorer on debut at Newmarket. Surpassed that form in listed company but he was only fourth of 5 and headgear now on T FOR TANGO (IRE) (30) (D) kg James A. Nash, Ireland Pat Smullen Landed a few bets in a 10-runner maiden at Naas in April and far from disgraced when fourth pitched into listed level over the same C&D since (just behind Simmy s Copshop) ELIZABETH DARCY (IRE) (27) (D) b kg Wesley A. Ward, USA John R. Velazquez Blinkered when winning 6-runner maiden at Indiana Grand by 7¾ lengths from C J S Suzie Byu, travelling well close up and drawing clear 1f out. Sure to improve and she s a fascinating contender.

11 5.35 RACE 6 WINDSOR CASTLE STAKES (Listed) (1) 2yo 80,000 5f (1010 Metres) page 11 of MARCHINGONTOGETHER (42) (D) kg Ivan Furtado Martin Harley Cost peanuts as a yearling, but well on top at the finish starting out at Leicester last month and powerful new connections have since snapped her up NOOTKA SOUND (USA) (54) (D) b kg Wesley A. Ward, USA Frankie Dettori 15/10, blinkered when winning 7-runner maiden at Keeneland by 5¼ lengths from C J S Suzie Byu, travelling powerfully in dispute of lead and drawing clear over 1f out. Sure to improve markedly. 24 DECLARED RUNNERS 5-1 Declarationofpeace, 6-1 Nootka Sound, 13-2 Elizabeth Darcy, 11-1 Roussel, 16-1 Corinthia Knight, 16-1 Another Batt, 20-1 Simmy s Copshop, 22-1 Sound And Silence, 22-1 Dragons Tail, 25-1 Marchingontogether, 28-1 T For Tango, 28-1 Mokaatil, 33-1 Dahik, 40-1 bar DECLARATIONOFPEACE has a hefty price tag to live up to, but he looked every inch a top prospect when emphatically landing the odds at Dundalk last month. He s bred for further, but clearly isn t short on pace and he s preferred to the promising once-raced Wesley Ward-trained duo Elizabeth Darcy and Nootka Sound. 1. DECLARATIONOFPEACE (USA) 2. ELIZABETH DARCY (IRE) 3. NOOTKA SOUND (USA) 2016 Ardad John Gosden Robert Havlin Washington Dc Aidan O Brien Ryan Moore Hootenanny f Wesley A. Ward Victor Espinoza Extortionist Olly Stevens Johnny Murtagh Hototo Kevin Ryan Phillip Makin 23 2 Wesley A. Ward s number of winners in past 10 runnings. (amongst 2 runners saddles: ELIZABETH DARCY) David Evans s profit with horses running in first time headgear since the start of the 2012 season (saddles: LAST PAGE) 29% George Scott s strike rate in the last 14 days (saddles: ANOTHER BATT and JAMES GARFIELD)
