Fairgrounds Take I-69 to Route 71 at the Durand- Corunna Exit - about 10 miles West of Swartz Creek. Go North on 71 to Hibbard Road then West to the Fair Grounds

2 Fees, Prizes, Regulations Entry Fees: Entry fees in all championship classes will be $ Entry fees in all other classes will be $ Paso Fino entry fees will be $21.00 and $15.00, respectively, to defray expenses of the Paso Fino judge and steward. Awards: A lead crystal trophy and six ribbons will be awarded in every class. In addition, there will be flower garlands for all our champions in the Swartz Creek tradition. Entries: Entries close July 24, Entries received thereafter will be accepted at an additional fee of $10.00 per horse. To encourage early entries, checks will not be deposited until July 31,2009. A charge of $25.00 plus collection fee will be made for non-negotiable checks. There will be an Office Fee of $10.00 per horse. Stalls: Stalls will be assigned on a first come, first PAID, basis. No stalls will be reserved until payment is received. Stall fees will be $40, horse or tack. Stalls will be available at Noon on Thursday, July 30th. No horse may be stalled prior to that time. Camper Hook-ups will be available at $25.00 for the show. Anyone camping without a permit will be charged double the usual rate. Registration Papers and Membership Numbers: All Morgan, Paso Fino and Saddlebred exhibitors must supply a copy of registration papers with entry. Paso Fino exhibitors must include their membership number or their points will not count. A negative Coggins Test, dated no earlier than 12/1/2008, must be presented for all entries. Liability: Every possible courtesy and protection will be extended to exhibitors, but neither the Swartz Creek Kiwanis Club, its officers, members and employees; nor the Show Committee, its volunteers and employees; nor the Shiawassee County Fair, its volunteers and employees will be liable or responsible in any way for any loss or injury. Each exhibitor shall indemnify and hold harmless the management from all claims as a condition of entry. Management reserves the right to remove anyone from the show grounds without being liable for compensation. All classes will be conducted in accordance with the rules of the Michigan Horse Show Association. The Swartz Creek Kiwanis Horse Show reserves to its show committee the absolute and final right to interpret the rules and regulations and arbitrarily settle and determine all matters, differences and questions in regard to or otherwise arising out of, connected with or incident to the show, without claim, damage or recourse of any kind. NO DISPUTE WILL BE DISCUSSED WHILE THE SHOW IS IN SESSION. 2

10 Academy Division Academy Rules: 1. All entrants must abide by the rules and regulations of the horse show. 2. All horses must be bona fide lesson horses used in a lesson program. 2. Horses may be shown in regular classes at the horse show. 3. Riders in this section are eligible only for Academy Classes. 4. Attire will be jods, or breeches, vest and a tie. Helmets optional 5. Academy Entry Fees - $20. Use regular horse show entry blank. 6. First place winners will receive their choice of a crystal trophy. 6 Ribbons. 7. ASHAM members will earn points toward annual awards.
