This offering is the accumulation of a lifetime of pursuit of excellence in the agricultural world and driven by the determination and passion of producing breed leading genetics of Fleckvieh, Simmental, and Red Angus. This year s crop is the most diverse genetically. Many of the bulls and females are the results of our extensive embryo transplant program. This makes it possible to select multiple full siblings. Elite cow families are the basis of our breeding programs. The cattle offered in the sale were raised in large pastures on several different locations; however, the common denominator is they were not creep fed and not one animal have had their feet trimmed. I feel this is very important in the selection process of genetics that will yield a profit and do it conveniently and possess longevity. The bulls have been developed on a high roughage ration, developing the rumen, strong feet, and adaptability to your new environment. Disposition, structural correctness, eye appeal, and performance are all constantly evaluated. With our large cowherd base, we are able to be extremely selective in this year s sale cattle. Every year, breeder bulls are selected by seedstock producers, and we are very proud of the accomplishments these sires have had in respective programs. This sale may have the deepest set of herdsires ever. However, the majority of the bulls sell in the $ range and are affordable for every budget. We would be glad to assist you in selecting the bulls that fit your programs needs. As always, all of our bulls are fertility tested, fully vaccinated, and fully guaranteed. Your success is our success. This year we decided to showcase an elite group of females. Many of these females are from our top donor females in all breeds. Double Bar D Joceline 104M, Grinalta s Class Act, Wheatland Lady 822U, CMS Tequila 719T, and Double Bar D Marina 110M are heavily represented. One can never go wrong with genetics like these. We welcome Greg Goudy, Swan Lake Farms again to this year s sale as a guest consignor. Greg s program closely resembles the Double Bar D program with shared herdsires, but he adds his own personal touch to his program is shaping up as the most profitable agricultural markets in history. However if your Bull or Female should fail to be a satisfactory breeder, he or she will be replaced with a bull or heifer of equal value. Associate with success and you will be successful, a wise cattle breeder, mentor, and all around good man, once advised me. These words hold true in my relationship with the Dimler families and agricultural operation. Customer success is the primary concern of Double Bar D. A true breeding program never sleeps. The pursuit of new genetics is always important, however, the incorporation of genetics from inside the program that yield a superior product is the ultimate level. Many of the top sire prospects of this year s offering are sired by past high selling bulls. 5 Sales Management Comments Welcome to the 2011 edition of the Best of Both Worlds bull and female sale. It is very gratifying to see the positive shift in the cattle market and hear forecasts of record beef prices for the next couple of years. We hope that all the cattlemen who persevered and stayed during the challenging times will be able to reap the well deserved rewards. As I traveled again touring this summer and winter visiting farming operations, I can t recall an operation that impressed me more then the Double Bar D operation in terms of its size, daily operations and one family s dedication to the ag industry, in the beef and grain sectors. Myself being involved in the same sectors, I can really appreciate how well run this program is and the amount of dedication one has to put forth to achieve this kind of success. As you visit with the Dimler family you will find that nothing is more rewarding to them then assisting their customers to sustain a profitable livelihood in the cattle business, by continually improving the fundamental traits that affect the bottom line in any operation. With over 500 purebred cows and a very heavy embryo program, the selection of bulls is one of the best on offer. As you flip through and study the catalog, you will see the depth in the proven cow families that stem from some of the best in business and many half and three quarter brothers. One thing in an ever changing world that has never changed is that we sell beef cattle by the pound. These bulls are going to add pounds to your calf crop. The fullblood bulls are stout made beef machines - big bodied, big butted and ready to go to work. With one of the feature bulls being Double Bar D Spitfire 20X,a polled full fleck bull who is stout made, dark red and has a beautiful presence about him. The red and black bulls are again a powerful set of hairy, stout made bulls with flawless phenotype with some of the most sought after genetics available. There will be a variety of bulls that will work as heifer bulls as well as power bulls to fuel your calf crop, as well as strengthen your replacement pen, putting you into a better position for the future.
