Equestrian Aid Foundation To Honor Mark Bellissimo at A Night of Legends with Surprise Musical Performance The Equestrian Aid Foundation s A Night of Legends will take place on Sunday, February 22, for Wellington and Palm Beach residents to take a break from the Winter Equestrian Festival and relax for an evening of cocktails, dinner, and a unique show. She was third in the championships, and she is also a big mover so we decided to start her under saddle. We put her in competition, and she just won everything. She won the young horse classes, A & L level classes as a four-year-old, which is great considering her age, Klieber said. As for future participation of Dressurstall Sandbrink, Klieber is looking forward to continuing the search for quality young dressage horses to bring to the WEF Sport Horse Auction in the coming years. I would like to really have a full year to search for the best horses to bring over for the dressage portion of the auction. I like to work here, and I love working with (organizer) Melanie (Peterson) and the team here. I will continue to bring my best horses, and it will only get better, she smiled. The two dressage horses will be showcased during this week s Friday Night Stars event. Both horses will be stabled at the Adequan Global Dressage Festival (AGDF) until the auction and are available for trial upon request now through February 25 from noon to 6 pm. Peters was quick to give the young mare praise, as she is still very green at the Grand Prix level. She amazed me the first day I sat on her. She s just so focused. We had a few little rookie mistakes today, but there are a lot of wonderful things and the best thing is that she does it with so much lightness. The duo put together a lovely test during the horse s first competition ever in the United States. Crowd favorite, the young Juan Matute, Jr. (ESP), placed second in the class aboard his longtime mount Don Diego Ymas. The pair earned a % in their second CDI Grand Prix Freestyle of the 2015 season. Laura Tomlinson (GBR) and Unique were two for two this weekend in their first week at AGDF, taking home the win in the FEI Intermediaire 1 CDI 1* class presented by Mission Control, scoring a %. Diane Creech (CAN) and Robbie W continued their success today in the Small Tour classes as the pair placed third in the FEI Prix St. Georges CDI 1* sponsored by Mission Control Thursday and capped off Friday with another top three finish, coming in second with a %. Kathleen Raine (USA) and the lovely mare Breanna scored a % to win the FEI Grand Prix Special CDI 5*, presented by Diamante Farms. Tinne Vilhelmson-Silfven (SWE) and Divertimento followed in second with a % and Jill Irving (CAN) and Degas 12 rounded out the top three with a %. Steffen Peters (USA) and Rosamunde took home another win in the FEI Grand Prix Special CDI 3*, presented by Wellington Equestrian Realty. The duo received a % to win the class followed closely by Charlotte Jorst and Kastel s Nintendo scoring a % and Shelly Francis and Danilo in third on a %. Chris Von Martels (CAN) and Zilverstar finished the last day of with a win in the FEI Intermediaire 1 Freestyle CDI 1* presented by Mission Control. Von Martels and Zilverstar finished the afternoon on a % followed by Olivia LaGoy-Weltz (USA) and Rassing s Lonoir scoring a % and Dawn White-O Connor (USA) and Aristo coming in third with a %. The Best Horse Owner Award for the AGDF Week 5 National competition, presented by Jill Irving, was awarded to Sarah Schmidt. The Best Horse Owner Award in the Prix St. Georges class was awarded to Mr. and Mrs. Bechtolsheimer, owners of class winner, Unique, ridden by their daughter, Laura Tomlinson, for Great Britain. The Best Horse Owner Award for the Grand Prix Freestyle presented by Wellington Equestrian Realty was awarded to Marcia Pepper for the third consecutive freestyle competition in a row. 7 PBIEC 7 Upcoming Events Cont.: WEF Sport Horse Auction The 2015 Sport Horse Auction will be held on February 26 at 7 pm at The Stadium at PBIEC. The auction will showcase some of the elite show jumpers and hunters from VDL Stud in the Netherlands and will also feature two young top-class dressage prospects from Dressurstall Sandbrink Stud in Germany. The fine VDL horses will be available for viewing at Ossian Ventures on February from noon to 6 pm. The dressage horses will be available for viewing at The Stadium at PBIEC during the same time. On Wednesday, February 25, 2015, from 9 am- 5pm, the VDL horses will be available for trials by appointment at Ossian Ventures. Please contact Mr. Janko van de Lageweg at or to set up an appointment.
