Commencement of Meeting 1.1 The President,, welcomed all Management Committee Members, Advisors and Mr. Abraham J. Adriaansz from Indonesia attending the meeting, and conveyed apologies from Sensei Ahad Tanzadeh for being absent from the meeting th Asia Pacific Shitoryu Karatedo Championships 2.1 The 12 th Asia Pacific Shitoryu Karatedo Championships would be held in Indonesia in Sensei Iwan Setiawan and Mr. Abraham J. Adriaansz gave a detailed presentation on the preliminary arrangement of the championships (see Appendix 1 for the presentation material), the salient points of which are summarized below a) Schedule 30 June 2010 (Wed) Registration, Congress (evening) 1 July 2010 (Thu) Seminars and examination 2 July 2010 (Fri) Championships Date 1 3 July 2010 (Sat) Championships Date 2 4 July 2010 (Sun) Farewell Dinner (evening) 5 July 2010 (Mon) Departure /2

Shitoryu Karatedo India Shitoryu Karatedo Karatedo Shitoryu Karatedo Shitoryu Karate Shitoryu Palestine Shitoryu Karate All Karatedo Shitokai th Asia Pacific Shitoryu Karatedo Championships (cont d.) 2.1 (cont d.) b) Events / Categories Basically follow WKF Only Kata events for youth/children under age 14 c) Eligibility for Participation APSKF member 1 team from each affiliate Shitokai 1 team Organizer (Indonesia) 2 teams d) Venue Tennis Indoor Senayan, Jakarta, Indonesia e) Hotel Sultan Hotel (formerly Hilton Hotel), Jakarta, 5 star 2.2 Indonesia should liaise and work closely with Tournament Sub-committee for detailed arrangement of the Championships. 2.3 Sensei Iwan Setiawan added that a 264 sq m Honbu Dojo of Shitoryu Indonesia Karatedo was being built on a piece of land of 3,500 sq m in Jakarta to commemorate the hosting of the Championships. It would be grand opened during the Championships. The meeting admired Sensei Iwan Setiawan s great efforts to promote Shitoryu Karatedo in Indonesia. 3. Report from Referee Sub-committee 3.1 Being the Chairperson of Referee Sub-committee, reported that the structure of Referee Sub-committee was sound and stable. Certificates for qualified APSKF Referees were bestowed in the last 11 th APSKF Championships in November 2007 in. 3.2 For upholding the status of APSKF s referee seminars, the meeting confirmed that in all future referee seminars organized by APSKF, there would be a participation fee to be charged for all participants. /3

3 Shitoryu Karatedo India Shitoryu Karatedo Karatedo Shitoryu Karatedo Shitoryu Karate Shitoryu Palestine Shitoryu Karate All Karatedo Shitokai Report from Technical Sub-committee 4.1 Being the Chairperson of Technical Sub-committee, Sensei Wong Tuang Seng reported that the structure of Technical Sub-committee was sound and stable. Moreover, records of Shitoryu Black Belts in the Asia and Pacific regions had been kept properly. He reminded to submit updated information of their Black Belt members to the Sub-committee from time to time for record. 5. Report from Tournament Sub-committee 5.1 Being the Chairperson of Tournament Sub-committee, Sensei Patrick Leung reported that after 20 months of preparation works, Shitoryu Karatedo launched the 11 th APSKF Championships together with some associated events on November 2007 in Hong Kong. Around 500 participants from 22 countries, territories and organizations attended the Championships. 5.2 As the 12 th APSKF Championships were approaching in Indonesia, would share his experience and work closely with Indonesia with a view to ensuring that the Championships would be successful. 6. APSKF Statement of Account 6.1 APSKF Treasurer, Sensei Wong Tuang Seng, presented the latest APSKF statement of account, which is attached in Appendix 2, to the meeting. The balance of the account as at 30 June 2009 was SGD21, Withdrawal of Memberships 7.1 After discussion, the meeting passed a resolution with immediate effect that who were in arrears of three years should be deemed to have vacated/relinquished their memberships. 7.2 The meeting also passed another resolution with immediate effect that who were absent from APSKF activities, such as APSKF Championships and Congress Meetings, for two consecutive events without valid reasons should be deemed to be inactive and should be deemed to have relinquished their memberships. /4

4 Shitoryu Karatedo India Shitoryu Karatedo Karatedo Shitoryu Karatedo Shitoryu Karate Shitoryu Palestine Shitoryu Karate All Karatedo Shitokai Proposal of Introduction of Individual Nominees 8.1 Due to the current worldwide economical crisis, the meeting considered that the proposal of charging APSKF individual nominees a certain amount of subscription fee that enabled them to be eligible for participation in APSKF events should be kept in view until the situation warranted its implementation in future. 9. Eligibility for Upgrading in WSKF Dan Examinations 9.1 It was proposed that only affiliates of APSKF black belt members should be eligible for upgrading in WSKF Dan examinations in the Asia Pacific regions. However, the meeting considered that it was immature to impose the condition for the time being, and it would be kept in view until the situation warranted its implementation in future. 10. Obstruction to Application of All India Shitoryu Karate (AISKA) to be Member of All India Karate Federation (AIKF) 10.1 Sensei Wong Tuang Seng reported on behalf of AISKA that AISKA s application to be member of AIKF had been objected / obstructed by Governing Council of All India Shitoryu Karate (GCAISKA). Sensei Wong said that it was wrong for GCAISKA to take such a stand. Members of a Shitoryu should stand united in such cases, as it would help to build a stronger APSKF family. He suggested that guidelines be drawn for members to comply in such cases and GCAISKA be cautioned for their action The meeting considered that it might be inappropriate for APSKF to be involved in any affairs concerning national federations. The problem should be resolved among AISKA, GCAISKA and AIKF. 11. Any Other Business 11.1 Shitoryu Karatedo of Malaysia reported that Malaysian of Shitoryu Karate (MASK) and Traditional Shitokai Karatedo (TSKA) would meet the week after regarding the formation of a union in Malaysia in accordance with APSKF s resolution issued to MASK on 18 November The meeting welcomed the positive step take by both MASK and TSKA. /5
