1 14. ISTRIAN SPRING TROPHY 9. to SPECIFIC REGULATIONS ARTICLE 1. ORGANIZATION The Istrian Spring Trophy is organized by cycling team Meridiana Kamen Team, Trg Slobode 2, Pazin Croatia under the regulations of the International Cycling Union. It is to be held from 9. to ARTICLE 2. TYPE OF EVENT The event is open to athletes of the Men Elite and Under 23 categories. The event is entered on the UCI Europe Tour calendar and is registered as a class 2.2 event. In conformity with the UCI rules, points are awarded as follows for the UCI Europe Tour Ranking and for Elite and Under 23 Men s UCI World Ranking: 40; 30; 25; 20; 15; 10; 5; 3; 3; 3 for the first 10 riders in the final general classification 7; 3; 1 points to the winner of each stage 1 points to the leader of the general classification per stage ARTICLE 3. PARTICIPATION As per article of the UCI regulations, the event is open to the following teams: UCI Pro Continental Teams of the country, UCI foreign Pro Continental teams ( max. 2 ) Continental Team, National Team, Regional and Club Team. As per article of UCI regulations, teams must be formed of minimum 4 and maximum 6 riders. ARTICLE 4. RACE HEADQUARTERS The race headquarters shall be open starting at17:00 h and located at the following address: HOTEL Sol Garden Istra at Umag. Team representatives are reqested to confirm their starters and collect their race numbers at the race headquarters from 18:00 h to 19:45 h on the HOTEL Sol Garden Istra at Umag. The team managers' meeting, organized in accordance with article of the UCI regulations, in the presence of the Members of the Commissaires' Panel, is scheudled for 20:00 h at RACE HEADQUARTERS LOCATION ARTICLE 5. STARTING ORDER FOR TIME TRIALS AND PROLOGUES For the prologue , the starting order for each team shall be determined by the organiser in reverse order of general individual classification of Istrian Spring Trophy The starting order of teams without individual riders in general classification last year shall be determined by organiser in agreement with the commissaires panel; each team manager shall determine the order in which its riders shall start. ARTICLE 6. RADIO TOUR Race information will be broadcast on the "Radio Tour" channel CH 9 (Am). Organizer will distribute UHF stations at Race HQ. ARTICLE 7. NEUTRAL TECHNICAL SUPPORT The neutral support is taken care of by means of two cars of Ildo Gržid Company and one car of Emanuele Previtali Company. ARTICLE 8. RACE INCIDENTS OCCURRING IN THE LAST 3 KILOMETERS In the case of a duly noted fall, puncture or mechanical problem after passing table of the last 3 km, the rider(s) involved shall be credited with the time of the rider(s) in whose company they were riding at the moment of the accident. His or their placing shall be determined by the order in which he or they actually cross the finishing line. If, as the result of a duly noted fall in the last three kilometers, a rider cannot cross the finish line, he shall be placed last in the stage and credited with the time of the rider or riders in whose company he was riding at the time of the accident. (article ) This article will not be applicable where the finish is at the top of a hill-climb. Stages with finish at the top of a hill-climb for the application with article are the following stages: 10/03/2017 1st stage, finish at Labin 11/03/2017 2nd stage, finish at Motovun

2 ARTICLE 9. FINISHING TIME LIMITS Taking into account the characteristics of each stage, the finishing time limit will be 10% for all stages, except the prologue. The time limit may, in excptional circumstances, be increased by the Commissaires' Panel in agreement with organizer according to the article ARTICLE 10. CLASSIFICATIONS TIME BONUSES - POSTINGS BONUSES Bonuses will be awarded for the first three riders in each stage ( except prologue ) as follows: - first place 10 seconds, second place 6 seconds, third place 4 seconds Bonuses will be awarded also for intermediate sprints as follow: - first place 3 seconds, second place 2 seconds, third place 1 second CLASSIFICATIONS 1. general individual classification by time yellow jersey Where two or more riders make the same time in the general individual time placings, the fractions of a second registered during prologue shall be added into the total time to decide the other. If the result is still tied, the placings obtained in each stage shall be added and, as a last resort, the place obtained in the last stage ridden shall be taken into consideration (art UCI regulations). 2. intermediate sprints classification blue jersey Points on the intermediate sprints will be received as follows: 5 pts, 3 pts and 1 pt for first three riders on each sprint. In the event of a tie in intermediate sprints classification, the following criteria shall be applied in order until the riders are separated: - number of wins in intermediate sprints - general individual classification by time. 3. mountain sprints classification green jersey Points on the mountain sprints will be received as follows: - first category climb: 6 pts, 4 pts and 2 pts for first three riders on each sprint, - second category climb: 3 pts, 2 pts and 1 pt for first three riders on each sprint. In the event of a tie in mountain sprints classification, the following criteria shall be applied in order until the riders are separated: - number of wins in first category sprints - number of wins in second category sprints - general individual classification by time. After the prologue, the second rider on general classification shall wear the blue jersey and the third rider on general clasification shall wear the green jersey. They must attend at the official awards ceremony. 4. team classification The team classification for the day shall be calculated on the basis of the sum of the three best individual times from each team.in the event of a tie, the teams shall be separated by the sum of the places acquired by their three best times on the stage. If the teams are still tied, they shall be separated by the placing of their best rider on the stage classification. The team general classification shall be calculated on the basis of the sum of the three best individual times from each team in each stage ridden. In the event of a draw, the following criteria shall be applied in order until the teams are separated: 1. number of first places in the daily team classifications; 2. number of second places in the daily team classifications; etc. If there is still a draw, the teams shall be separated by the placing of their best rider in the general individual classification. Any team reduced to fewer than three riders shall be eliminated from the general team classification. The riders of the team leading the team classification shall be required to wear the corresponding distinctive bib number if required by the organiser.

PRIZES Prizes are according to the UCI Regulations and will be paid out as follows: # Prologue Stage G.C. # Prologue Stage G.C Intermediate sprints classification - 1st place: 70 EUR - Mountain sprints classification - 1st place: 100 EUR - Team classification - 1st place: trophy/cup A grand total of will be awarded in prize money at the event. ARTICLE 12. ANTIDOPING The UCI antidoping regulations are entirely applicable to the event. Where applicable, local anti-doping legislation would be implemented in addition to the UCI s antidoping ARTICLE 13. AWARDS CEREMONY In accordance with article of the UCI rules, the following riders must attend the official awards ceremony: The first 3 riders of the stage Yellow, blue and green jersey after the stage The riders will present themselves at the podium in a time limit of maximum 10 minutes after crossing the finish line. Moreover, at the general finish of the event, the following riders must also present themselves at the final awards ceremony: The first 3 riders of the event The winners of intermediate and mountain sprints classification. ARTICLE 14. PENALTIES The UCI penalty scale is the only one applicable. ARTICLE 15. ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION Before and after the feeding zone and 20 km before the finish line you can find an area for the disposal of bottles and any other waste. 4 Description of the course: The danger points on the course are: 1st Stage - downhill at Barban (145 km ) - level crossing at Most Raša (149 km) 2nd Stage - downhill at Gračišde (80 km), and at Pidan (84 km) - level crossing at Kanfanar (59 km), at Potpidan (89 km) and at Dolenja Vas(122 km) 3rd Stage Downhill at Vižinada (36 km ) Medical care: Medical care during the race will be administrated by the doctor, medical technician and ambulance car.
