2 Introduction The Annual Ball was established in 2011 to celebrate the Irish in Germany, develop relationships within the local community, build stronger bridges to Ireland and to support a charity of choice each year Paul Cahill IBN president This year s Irish Business Network Annual Charity Ball will take place on Saturday 12th November Following 5 successful years in Munich, for the first time this prestigious event will be held in Berlin! Reflecting the diversity, creativity and professionalism of this wonderful city. It is a Black Tie event, but you can be assured it will contain a bit of that very special Berlin character! It is also a centenary year which coincides with the celebration of the 1916 rising. We are pleased to announce that the Ball will be attended by H.E. The Irish Ambassador of Ireland to Germany Michael Collins.

3 Irish Business Network The IBN s thriving community offers a unique opportunity to interact with professionals that represent most commercial sectors in Germany. All chapters of the IBN hold events with a mixture of business related and socially orientated outings, such as the annual Mini Marathon in Dusseldorf. Our social events ensure that there is also a fun factor with an emphasis on creating a strong network of friendships among the Irish community working and living in Germany. In 2016 some significant events were held including a commemoration of the 19th century Ruhr region Irish Industrialist William T. Mulvaney. The Taoiseach Enda Kenny provided a personal video message for this successful event. The Berlin chapter of the Irish Business Network was established in 2012 joining the other existing branches in Dusseldorf, Stuttgart Frankfurt & Munich. A Hamburg chapter is in initiation for 2017!

The raw food material is sourced directly from the Harz mountains region of Germany. The Restaurant is hidden in a leafy park enclosure located in the central Kreuzberg district of the city. This historic building was originally a 19th century Bethanien Hospital. In recent years it has undergone significant restoration and has been converted into a culture, exhibition and fine dining space. This exquisite location is the most perfect venue for our 2016 Ball-blending sumptuous classical style with an edgy local chic. Quintessentially Berlin!
