1 THE 6 th AHO BREEDERS CHAMPIONSHIP EGYPT 2016 December 8 th -10 th Rabab - Giza by Fabio Brianzoni z photos by Fabio Brianzoni, Claude Stemmelin, Michael Steurs The 6th AHO Breeders Championship Egypt 2016 was held on 8th, 9th and 10th December in Giza, Cairo, in the great frame of the ancient Rabab Stud, owned by Sheik Khaled Bin Laden, under the patronage of HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the President and founder of the AHO, the Association that has given strenght, courage and funds to the breeders worldwide. An excellent association confirmed by the results it has reached during the last years thanks to Mr. Ahmed Abdel Razek, the show Chairman and to the members of the organizing committee: Dr. Mohamed Machmoum, Mr. Essam Abdallah and, in this Egyptian edition, Mrs. Dina Hosny and Mrs. Marwa Mahmoud. Operations Manager was Ms. Fredericke Kopp, who has always been the reference for the show organization. For the 6th edition in Cairo Mrs. Nahlaa Baraka was the show manager and Mr. Mohamed Kattawi the coordinator. The sharp voice of the event by Mrs. Sherifa R. Al Zeer from Kuwait, and the music was perfectly timed by Mr. Mohamed Adly. This year for the first time here, the livestream and results provided by Mr. Michael Steurs from ArabianHorseResults. The number of horses entered was very high in previous editions, so that this year the organization put a limit of 10 horses per breeder. 187 horses entered were a great success Egyptian Pounds were given to the Top 10 horses in each class. This method supports the participants and not only the winners, who had the honour of the three medals during the final Championship. The 6th AHO Breeders Cup was judged by Mrs. Christine Jamar (Belgium), Mr. Sami Ben Saad (Saudi Arabia), Mr. Ferdinand Huemer (Austria), Dr. Abderrazzak Hmindiani (Morocco), Mr. Xavier Guibert (France) and Mr. Jerzy Bialobok (Poland). Ring Master was Mr. Waleed Al Haddadi (Saudi Arabia). The Disciplinary Committee was composed by Dr. Mohamed Hammad, Dr. Asmaa Shaltout, Dr. Mohamed Al Sherif, Dr. Ramy Nabil and Dr. Omnia Elsherief who was also involved in the show organization. Many prizes and classes, three for every Yearlings category. Amongst many special prizes, one was very special: Best Sire given to Jamil Al Rayyan and Best Breeder to his owners, El Gabry Stud and Al Baydaa Stud. Tutto Arabi ( has been following all the shows for many years and, particularly, the ones by AHO, honoured and proud to support its project to incentivize the Arabian horse breeding. At Rabab Stud ( Sheik Khaled welcomed us to present the pearls of his breeding farm and its 30 hectars of facility. A good visit was also Al Bawady Stud ( com ), owned by Mr. Ahmed Abdel Razek and his son Adel, where we had lunch and we admired their offsprings and most important stallions of their breeding program. q 206 TUTTO ARABI -
