3 About Georgian Na.onal Communica.ons Commission (GNCC) Georgian Na.onal Communica.ons Commission (GNCC) is independent statutory body established in 2000 and responsible for regula.on of electronic communica.ons and broadcas.ng sectors of Georgia The Commission is a collegial body consis.ng of 5 members which are elected for 6 years term. Commissioners elect chairman for 3 years term The source of financing of GNCC is regula.on fee collected from telecom and broadcas.ng undertakings There 130 employees in the apparatus of GNCC

5 GNCC Online Data Collec.on and Dissemina.on System (stats.gncc.ge & analy.cs.gncc.ge) In March 2011 GNCC aligned defini.ons of telecom indicators to ITU standards From June 2011 all telecom undertakings have obliga.on to submit sta.s.cal data online (mostly on monthly basis) We developed online data collec.on and dissemina.on system to have solid informa.on system to support GNCC s day- to- day ac.vity and provide market par.cipants and other stakeholders with reliable data aligned to interna.onal standards
