1 Welcome to Historic Rally Midnattssolsrallyt 2012 The rally will be run in full compliance with the National Regulations by the Swedish ASN, this invitation and eventual bulletins issued by the Organiser. Anybody taking part in the rally is doing so under his/hers own responsibility and at his/hers own risk. FIA, The Swedish ASN, organising clubs, the organiser and marshals assumes no liability for damages. Competitors have by entering the rally accepted that personal data from the entry form can be used for computerising results and media purpose. 1 Organiser - Place - Dates KAK, the Royal Automobile Club of Sweden. 2 Ralf Pettersson Environmental Officer Börje Lagerqvist 9 Description This is a national historic rally run under the Swedish ASN historic rally regulations. Total length will be 1150kms with 180kms of SS divided into 22 SS mainly over gravel roads. The rally will be run over 3 legs with 2 overnight halts. Road book will be used. Reseeding will be done after each leg. Classes are allowed to use the organisers pace notes. Available will be describing and number pace notes in Swedish and English and are made by Bruno Berglund. The fee for pace notes is SEK 800, VAT incl and has to be paid together with the entry fees. Please note that for Swedish competitors both driver and co-driver need to be licensed to use the pace notes. Classes 3-19 will be seeded as one group after the first leg. Leading competitor starts first and so on. 10 Rally Base Start and Finish will be at Rocklunda, Västerås. 11 Preliminary Time Schedule Wednesday April 4 Official invitation at and entry opens. 4 20.00 Final results Optional guarded parking at Rocklunda Prize-giving for Class winners and overall winners. Sunday July Overnight park opens. Reconnaissance on roads used for the rally is strictly forbidden after publishing of these regulations. Start interval will be 1 minute. Eventual gaps will filled. SS1 will be run at 30 sec start interval. Final technical control will be done at the finish. Controls will also be done at the regroupings. 12 Competitors Licenses Accepted entries The rally is open for Swedish drivers with valid A-, B- or C-license and codrivers plus foreign drivers with valid EU-licenses. Maximum number of entries are 165, counting both Regularity and Historic Rally. Note: At all competitions except FIA International Championship events only the driver is allowed to drive the car. The crew, driver and codriver have to do the whole event as a crew without any replacing. Any person can only take the start once in the event. Lady class including in this years rally. The organiser reserves the right to decide which entries to accept. 13 Classes - Start order Cars in the Historic Rally are competing in classes Cars in Classes A1-D4 must be certified as historical cars with a HTP (Historical Technical Passport) that must be shown at the scrutineering. Failure to do so results in a no start. Start order: Class 1 (Regularity), Class 2 (Regularity), Historic Rally in by the Organiser seeded order. 14 Advertising The organiser reserves the right to advertise on the cars in conformity with the ASN regulations on the front doors, front wings and upper part of the windscreen. These areas must be kept free from all other advertising from the time of scrutineering to the end of the prizegiving. Organisers advertising must be kept on its place during the event. Competitors that cannot accept this advertising must pay SEK plus VAT at the administrative check on Wednesday morning July 18. Advertising on the competition numbers are not optional. 15 Team competition There will be no team competition. 16 Special regulations Tires must be according to FIA App. K. Stages will be marked according to the British system. Timing will be done down to 1/10 of the second. Restart possibility: Withdrawals on Leg1 and 2 can make a restart on next leg after rescrutineering with 3 min added for each SS not covered. This as an addition to the best result in class on each SS. A minimum of 3 min will always be added. The same possibility is given the competitor that has been excluded because of being far too late at a TC. Request for a restart is made at the Rally Info according to the Time Plan. Witdrawal on the last leg, Leg 3, i definite. Restart at other occasions, during a leg, is not automatic, but can be allowed by a decision by the Clerk of the Course. 17 Entry fees Entry fee is SEK VAT included.

Entry fees must be by us latest If not, the entry will not be accepted. 19 Cancellation The Organiser has the right to cancel the Rally after deliberation with the Stewards. 20 Prizes - Prize giving - Dead heat Prizes will be given to 25 % of the competitors in class. Not collected prizes will be forfeited. In a dead heat the winner is the competitor with the best result on SS 2, if still not decided, SS 3 aso. 21 Non-starter

Additional buffets can be ordered at 23 Exemptions Exemption from the speed limits on the SS s has been applied for at the local government. 24 Fuel - Service There are gas stations along the rally route. It is allowed to use these. Service regulations have to be followed. Set Service parks may occur. Environmental regulations according to the Swedish ASN regulations have to be followed. At the Service Park in Rocklunda each Competitor will be provided with an area of 6 x 10 meters. If more room is needed, please contact the organiser at info@rallytravels.com before May 20, the cost is SEK 100 per m2, VAT included. There will be NO parc ferme after SS1, Leg 1 and 2, so there will be free servicing up to the start next morning. The cars may not leave the Service area until 15 min before restarting. We will offer WC and shower facilities in conjunction with the Service Park at Rocklunda. 25 Rest halts 2 overnight halts and 3 lunch halts with regrouping min. 26 Respite and maximum lateness Following the ASN regulations, max 15 min between two TC s, max 30 min on a Leg and max 60 min for the whole rally. 27 Official Notice Board There will be an Official Notice Board at the Rally Info.
