Attendance was good as was the weather, although we were down a little on displays this year. The feature tractor this year was Case with a display of older Case tractors and one Case steam engine. The auction had a large amount of items but mostly small. The show tractor pulls during the show are running long, Sundays pull ran for five hours. This is a long time crew to work especially on a hot day. I want to thank New York State International Club 35 for allowing us to host their annual meeting and display. The spring plow day will be Saturday, May 12, Ground to plow yet to be determined. Be sure to come to the November meeting at the Laona Church to elect officers for Anyone interested in running for an office contact Barb Wise or come to the November meeting. All officers and two trustees are up for re-election. The Christmas party will be held at 6 p.m. on December, 2 at the Stockton Community Church at 4554 Railroad Avenue Stockton. We hope to see you there. ~Ray Ray s Birthday Cake Mandarin Orange Pineapple Cake Ingredients 1 box yellow cake mix 1/2 cup vegetable oil 1 can (11oz) mandarin oranges, drained (reserve 1/3 cup liquid) A.In large bowl, combine cake mix, oil, eggs, mandarin oranges, and reserved 1/3 cup orange liquid together. B.Beat with electric mixture on low speed for 30 seconds, then on medium speed for 2 minutes. C.Pour mixture into a greased 13 9 baking dish. 4 eggs 1 can (20oz) crushed pineapple, undrained 1 box (4 serv) vanilla pudding 1 container (8oz) Cool Whip, thawed D.Bake minutes at 350. Cool completely, about 1 hour. E.In medium bowl, combine crushed pineapple and dry pudding mix. F.Stir together until well blended. G.Add whipped topping to mixture. H. Gently stir until mixture is completely combined. I. Spread mixture on top of cake. Refrigerate until completely chilled. 5 A Message From the Vice President Thanks to all who helped put on a great show this year, especially to all who helped with the pull. Between the lawn mowers and big tractors, we had around 500 hooks total for the weekend. It takes a lot to put of work and help to put on pulls and make them run smoothly. Thank you to the drivers for their cooperation. Many probably saw the old grader Mark Risley brought to the show to use and display. He left it on the grounds for about a week past the show before he could get it home. When he went to start it, he found out the magneto assembly with the spark plug wires were missing. I just can not believe that someone would steal something like that. Just to have people around that would do that is beyond me. Obviously it was someone who thought they needed it to get something to run worse than Mark did. I hope whoever took it is enjoying it.
