Sara most recently came from working with a non-profit land trust and wildlife preserve in Montana. She is a Northern California native and has recently joined the XC2 crew after a varied career including ownership of several small companies (a hand-woven textile company, an emergency medical response service and an auto brokerage firm) as well as administration of others. She loves the entrepreneurial atmosphere at XC2 and the way everyone looks so good in the different hats they wear! Every day I learn more about the water industry and am amazed at how much people take for granted about the quality of our water! Sara comments when asked her thoughts on the industry. Sara loves to travel and has lived in three states, Spain and New Zealand. She also loves to make beautiful music on several music synthesizers in her home and is having fun exploring styles of painting. 2 New XC2 FOG Module Entry Screens and Areas We have added quite a few new Entry Screen options for you to choose from. You now have the ability to view the Interceptor, Inspection, Pump-Out and Facility Entry screens dependant upon preference. 3 New XC2 FOG Module Default and Entry Requirement Options New Record Defaults You can choose an Interceptor Type and/or Manufacturer that will automatically populate those fields when creating a new Interceptor. 4 Label/Envelope Selection Menu Pg. 1 Open a list of records and do one of the following to enter the Labels/Envelope Selection menu: 1.) Click Report/Print from the menu bar, choose Print Options-Other, and choose Labels/Envelopes. 2.) Click the Printer Icon at the bottom of a list of records. XC2 Quarterly 2009-Q3 4

5 Label/Envelope Selection Menu Pg. 2 1) 3x10 Laser Labels-Prints a sheet (s) of Label Stickers, 3 columns of 10. 2) 2x7 Laser Labels-Prints a sheet (s) of Label Stickers, 2 columns of 7 3) User Custom Labels- allows the user to create custom Label Stickers by bringing in specific information for the Label. 4) 2x7 Laser Labels (only when printing from an Assembly list)-prints a sheet (s) of Label Stickers, 2 columns of 7 with assembly information. 5) Prints envelopes individually via center feed tray of your printer. #10 Envelopes. 6) Prints in portrait format for 11X 17 Envelopes 7) Check this box to add the return address in top left of envelope. 8) Top of Form Label Spacing-amount of space from the top of the sheet, to the top of the first row of labels, and the amount of space from the bottom of the sheet to the bottom of the last row of labels. About two weeks after the convention was over, a small number of call started coming into the health department. All of the callers assumed that they had contacted food poisoning at restaurants at the convention. Giardia was ultimately blamed for the illnesses. It has an incubation period of five days to two weeks. Its symptoms can be subtle, depending upon one's resistance. Symptoms included diarrhea, intestinal cramps, and nausea. The health department inspected the restaurants and did not find any problems. As more calls were received, it was realized that the callers had all been at the same convention. The health department interviewed the people attending the convention. The health department mailed 1,200 surveys to those attending the convention will an itemized list of every food served. When the surveys were returned, a statistical analysis showed no correlation. The first survey did not include beverages. A second survey on beverages showed that people who had drinks with ice at one particular cocktail party were likely to become sick. An inspection found an ice machine. The unit had a dematerializing filter with a drain hose directly connected into a floor drain. Source: XC2 Quarterly 2009-Q3 8
