2 Audrey Bauer #20 Forward 6-0 Senior Lake Zurich, Ill. Lake Zurich H.S. Navy Surface Warfare Officer Political Science Audrey is playing with a sense of urgency this year you rarely see on teams; every single day she brings it. It goes beyond having a professional approach to practice. Her efforts are incredibly inspiring. Classmates Jade, Alix and Kara have received more recognition the past three years but you wouldn t know it by the presence Audrey has had on our team so far. I watch film of practice and I hear her voice almost the entire time. She s encouraging, prodding, coaching and celebrating her teammates efforts. She s getting everything out of this, her final season, and I can t wait to see where it takes her. Stefanie Pemper Academic Honors Was named to the 2012 and 13 Patriot League All-Academic Teams... was named to the 2011 and 13 Patriot League Academic Honor Rolls... has been named to the USNA s Superintendent s List four times and to the Commandant s List in each of her six completed semesters. Ranked second in the Patriot League with an average of 2.1 three-point field goals made a game... also ranked fourth in the league and 55th nationally with a three-point field goal percentage of 36.1 percent... made at least one three-point field goal in 29 of Navy s 33 games on the year, with multiple triples coming in 24 of those games... this included at least two treys in each of Navy s four post-season games... made at least two three-point field goals in eight-straight games during one span of the season... averaged 2.4 triples a game while shooting 39.6% from outside of the arc in this stretch... sank six threepoint field goals (on eight attempts) at Lehigh and made five treys (on eight attempts) against East Carolina... connected on the 100th three-point field goal of her career against Air Force... ended the year ranked fourth at Navy with 156 career triples to her name... her 69 three-point field goals for the year ranked sixth at Navy... scored 18 points three times on the Week on Jan this was after she posted 12 points and eight rebounds at American and tallied 10 points and seven rebounds against Colgate... had recorded a total of 20 points and 15 rebounds in the five league games prior to those back-to-back outings that saw her finish with 22 points and 15 caroms... notched a season-high of 13 points twice on the year... first such outing took place against Florida when she was 4-of-6 from the field and made both of her three-point attempts... also recorded 13 points on 4-of-10 shooting (4-of-8 in three-point attempts) against UMBC... immediately Coronado H.S. Navy Surface Warfare Officer Political Science This is such an important year in Peri s development. She has the ability to be an all-conference player in her career and she s fortunate every day to see what that looks like from five of her teammates. To see how aggressive they are in practice, to see how they defend, and to see how well they make the extra pass and make our team hard to guard. Peri picks things up well and has great instincts for basketball, she will literally have the kind of season she sets her mind to. Peri is one of a few on our team that can be described as sassy and fun, and she is the best I ve ever seen at celebrating our team s successes on the bench in games. Lots of energy in this gal. Stefanie Pemper Academic Honors Has been named to the USNA s Commandant s List once. Played in 17 games on the year... posted three points, two steals and one assist against Stony Brook... scored a seasonbest four points against Jackson State... was 2-of-4 from the field in that game... snared three caroms in three games: vs. UC Davis, at Air Force and at home against Holy Cross. Graduated from Coronado... was a member of three league title-winning basketball teams at the school... set school records for career points and rebounds... was a two-time league player of the year and a three-time team MVP... also was tabbed as a San Diego Scholar-Athlete... was a member of the National Honor Society. 4 Jade Geif #21 Forward 6-0 Senior Lakeville, Minn. Lakeville South H.S. Marine Corps Ground Economics So many compliments and successes have gone to Jade the past three years, all of them deserved. The one thing I don t think gets mentioned enough is how skilled she is at her craft. She reminds me of a finish carpenter, albeit the rare one who has the strength and perseverance of a lumberjack. Jade s footwork, ball-handling, screening and her attention to detail on defense, are beautiful to watch. We re asking her to do some different things offensively this year and as always she s approaching it with total unselfishness and commitment. Centreville H.S. Marine Corps Aviation Economics Erin played such an important role for us last season and is one of our smartest players. She often gets us extra possessions with her offensive rebounding and hustle, and she sees the floor so well she makes some great passes. Opponents will sometimes leave Erin to double-team other players and her ability to make them pay improved last year and will be something to watch this season. Erin studies our scouting reports with the eye of a defensive stopper, and it helps her make important plays that may go unnoticed by fans. 6 10 Alix Membreno #0 Guard 5-9 Senior Loxahatchee, Fla. Saint Pius X H.S. Navy Aviation Oceanography Alix has grown a lot as a player the past couple years, especially on the offensive end. She wants the ball in her hands during important possessions and is that rare player who is both willful and graceful at scoring. Alix has a really special ability to D teammates up in practice and show them what strong Division-I mid-major basketball looks like, while also saying the perfect words to give them confidence. She, more than anyone on our team can have practices where her teams win every competition, and she s the catalyst. Stefanie Pemper Academic Honors Was named to the 2013 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll... has been named to the USNA s Dean s List once and to the Commandant s List twice. Athletic Honors Garnered Second-Team All-Patriot League honors in both 2012 and was tabbed as the MVP of the 2013 Patriot League Tournament... was named to the 2011 and 12 Patriot League All-Tournament Team... in track, earned Second-Team All-Patriot League honors in the javelin in 2011 and 12 before receiving first-team accolades in 13. We have a few specialty players who do one aspect of the game really well and it s fun to appreciate them for the way they showcase the game of basketball. I remember in the fall of 2010 when senior captain Angela Myers was busy trying to figure out how Navy could win its first Patriot League championship, she became inspired by the freshman class, the Class of She talked about how Audrey and Jade would beat her to practice most days and already be working on their game when she arrived.
