MSU is with all three in the starting lineup: Williams ranks eighth in school history with 1,614 points, while Snow sits ninth at 1,572, orming the only class at MSU with two 1,500-point scorers. Including Chvatal, the trio is the only class in MSU history with three players with 500 career rebounds, and each is one o 10 players in school history with at least 500 career points, 500 rebounds and 50 blocked shots. Snow and Williams, along with Casey Garrison, are the only MSU players to record at least 1,000 points, 500 rebounds, 200 steals, 200 assists and 50 blocks in a career. Snow ranks high among active NCAA Division I players in career steals (1st - 348), steal average (3rd ), ree throws (10th - 482) and ree throw attempts (4th - 746). She also ranks in the top 10 in MVC history in all our categories (see page 29). Snow tallied 41 points on Feb. 12 against Loyola, the irst 40-point game at MSU since Jackie Stiles in She made 21 ree throws on 29 attempts in the contest, breaking her own school records in each category and establishing NCAA single-game highs or She is also the only Division I player to reach minimums o 41 points, 12 rebounds, seven steals and our blocks in a single game since at least the season, according to STATS Inc. Snow owns the only 40-point, 10-rebound game (Feb. 12 vs. Loyola) and the only double-double with at least ive assists, ive steals and two blocks (Jan. 1 at Illinois State) in school history. She has eight games this season with multiple assists, steals and blocks, and has at least one stat in each category on 16 occasions. Williams is a repeat irst-team pick, and Snow is only the third player in MVC history to earn both awards in the same season, joining Drake s Wanda Ford in 1985 and MSU s Secelia Winkield in Snow is the seventh Lady Bear to earn the MVC s top individual honor, and the ith to be named the league s top deender. High Scoring Sta The Lady Bear coaching sta combined to score 5,087 points at the Division I level during their playing careers with our All-America seasons, our Final Four appearances and three national championships. Head Coach Kellie (Jolly) Harper won three national titles at Tennessee under the legendary Pat Summitt, including a 39-0 junior season in The point guard scored 894 points and dished out 452 assists. The NCAA s all-time leading scorer, assistant Jackie Stiles poured in 3,393 points or Missouri State rom The three-time All-American and 2001 National Player o the Year led the Lady Bears to their second Final Four that season. The Missouri Valley Conerence is one o the 32 leagues whose champions receive automatic berths into the NCAA Tournament. The Lady Bears won the Midwest Regional on their story book run to the Women s Final Four in 1992, returned to the Sweet 16 in 1993 and reached the Final Four again in Missouri State s irst NCAA Tournament in 1991 Postseason WNIT Tournament Field: The 64-team Women s National Invitation Tournament ield consists o 32 automatic berths and 32 at-large selections. An automatic bid is oered to each conerence to the team that inished highest during the regular season and did not advance to the NCAA Tournament. The 32 at-large berths are illed by the top remaining teams available, as decided by several actors. All Division I teams with overall records o.500 or better (including conerence tournament play) are considered or the at-large berths. Host Selection: The host site is selected by the WNIT committee based on several actors such as an base, host bids, acility availability, tournament seed, travel constraints, etc. Tournament Dates: The ield will be announced Monday evening, March 14, The irst round will kick o Wednesday, March 16, with the event culminating on Saturday, April 2 with the championship game. Game 33 - Missouri State vs. UNI, MVC Championship - March 13, 2016 Missouri State in the WNIT: Missouri State has appeared in the WNIT on six occasions, posting an 10-5 record. The Lady Bears exited in the irst round in 2002, beore sweeping the ield in 2005 to claim the program s irst national tournament title. In 2010, the Lady Bears returned to the postseason or the irst time in our years with a pair o victories in the WNIT, went 1-1 in 2011 and advanced to the third round again in 2012 beore losing to eventual champion Oklahoma State in MSU s irst-ever road game in the event.
