The purpose of this clinic is to improve the officiating for your upcoming season. Many of the officials will have limited experience. 2. Please review the schedule above very carefully as you may be listed multiple times. 3. We will have full pads and players going 100% except for free kicks and scrimmage kicks. These will be played at 50% with no tackling. 4. Lee county schools will wear white jerseys. Collier and Charlotte schools will wear dark jerseys. 5. Even number sites (above) should be first team players. Odd number sites should be second team or JV players. 6. Clinicians/evaluators may ask coaches for assistance in running different formations, plays, etc. 7. The clock will be used to assist the officials with keeping accurate game time. 8. Coaches can be on the field behind both the offense and defense. 9. Scores will not be recorded. Page 3 of 7

He Referees in Collier county. Jody has 10 years experience at several positions in the high school and collegiate level, including post season and all-star games. Most recently an 8A state semi-final in 2015 and is a referee in the SGFOA. Currently serves as a referee in the SUN Conference (NAIA), Brian has been a high school official for 28 years. He has worked four FHSAA state championships including one as referee. Bio Nick has been a high school football official for 8 years. In that time he has worked a FHSAA State Championship, Pop Warner Super Bowl, and attended the 2016 Gulf Atlantic Collegiate Football Officials Clinic for the Sun and Pioneer Conference. Ben started as a LM in Greater Naples Officials Association and now is a full time Referee. He has officiated two FBU National Championship games. Ed has been officiating football for 11 years. He was the Line Judge for the 2014 FHSAA 4A State Final. Mike has been officiating football in the SGFOA since Mike worked 13 years at Back Judge, including the A state championship game, before moving to the Referee position in Robb is an FHSAA State Final Official who primarily serves as a LJ and FJ. Robb is a trainer in Lee and Collier the last four years. Robb has officiated two FBU National Championships. John has been a HS football official for 32 years. He has worked numerous state playoff games including three finals. He has been a guest speaker at the 2014 and 2015 FHSAA Officials Conference and has had four articles published in the NF Officials Quarterly. John is the current president of the SGFOA. Lee is a member of the Gulf South Conference, the Sunbelt Conference, and Lee is on the SEC Supplemental list. James will be entering his 9th year of HS officiating. Currently serving as the Football Division Board President for GNOA. Worked as a side judge for the FHSAA Class 4A Football Championship on December 6, Chris has been a high school official for 8 years and has done FHSAA state playoff games. He has done 2 years in the arena football league and two years at the collegiate level for the Sun Conference. Allan started Officiating in the SGFOA as a LJ and BJ. He officiated one year in the MEAC, 6 years in The Sun Conference/GACFOA, and currently working in the CFO West (BIG12/MW) as a FJ. Allan has been assigned to the UnderArmour All-America game in years 2009 and Matt Is a two time FHSAA State Final Official as an Umpire and now Referees in Collier County. Chuck is an SEC Line judge; 10 years in division I; 5 years in Division II Gulf South Conference; 10 post season assignments and former member of SGFOA. Played Div. II football at Indiana University of PA. NFL #44 (U) Larry Roorda has been officiating High School football for 26 years. He has worked three state final games, two as a Head Linesman and one as a Referee. NFL #128 (SJ retired) Jimmy began working HS football in 2003 in the SGFOA where he worked for 7 seasons. For two seasons, beginning in 2009, he worked BJ in the West Virginia Conference (D2) where he qualified for the playoffs. In 2011 he was hired as a side judge in the Southern Conference (FCS) where he worked for 2 years. In 2011 he was also hired to work as a back judge in the AFL, he worked there for two seasons and qualified for the playoffs both years. In 2012 he worked one season in the American Conference. (Former Big East) and in 2013 was hired to a crew in the SEC where he has worked as a back judge for the past two seasons. Page 4 of 7

Jimmy currently resides in Tampa with his wife and daughter. Rick is starting his 21 st year, started out as a BJ for few years, then worked into a short wing ( 10 yrs.) then an alt. referee (4 yrs.) to a full time referee (4th yr.) which includes 1 state championship as a linesman. Doug Stevens has been a football official for 24 years. Doug has worked in Federation, Pop Warner, NCAA, Semi-Pro & Arena football. Doug has worked in two FHSAA state championships including the most recent 2010 FHSAA 2B state finals on 3 OT- as referee. Art has officiated for over forty years in Michigan and Florida as a Referee where he has done State Finals in both states. Ed has been officiating with the SGFOA since He has been on numerous playoff crews. He became a Crew Chief in the 2015 season. He is currently a member at large on the SGFOA board. Ed also referees a semipro crew for the past seven years. Rob started officiating in 1997 in NJ. He began officiating small college football in 2003 with the predecessor to the GACOA. Rob was placed on the ACC Supplemental staff in 2005 and the Sunbelt Supplemental in He earned a spot on a full time crew in the Sunbelt in 2008 and joined the ACC full time in He was assigned to the 2010 BBVA Compass Bowl, 2011 FCS National Semi Final Game, the 2013 and 2015 East West Shrine Game, the 2014 Army Navy Game and the 2015 Birmingham Bowl. 7 MANTICA NOTES Jeff Rice has been football official since 1973 and in NFL since Worked 2 FHSAA championship games to go along with his 3 Super Bowls (36, 38, and 50) and was alternate for Super Bowl 35; also has worked numerous playoff games in NFL and 2 Pro Bowls. Mr. Rice also refereed basketball at high school and collegiate level from 1973 to 1995 and umpired baseball at high school, collegiate and professional levels from 1973 to Jeff was one of the founders of SGFOA (then known as Royal Palm Football Officials Association) and has spoken at officiating conferences numerous times.
