1 2018 Women s Conference Package & Tentative Schedule Welcome to the 2018 Women s Conference USSSA! Enclosed you will find the Women s Conference USSSA Information sheet detailing what the Women s Conference membership includes as well as the 2018 Tentative Conference Schedule, the Team Commitment form and Team Insurance program information. Please Read This Information Thoroughly as there have been changes to the program for If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact either Strojan Kennison or Clay Dickey. Once you have completed the entry form and team insurance form, please return them along with the applicable fees, in order to secure your place in the 2018 Conference USSSA. You may also include a Tentative Tournament Schedule if you have determined that as well. As a reminder, due to extremely high demand, Conference team membership may be limited and will be accepted on a firstcome, first serve basis based on receipt of Conference entry fee. 2 2018 USSSA Slow Pitch Women s Conference Entry Form By signing this entry form, I am obligating my team to participate in the Slow Pitch Conference and agree to abide by all the terms of being a Conference USSSA team. I am also enclosing the $800 entry fee. The entry fee includes mandatory team insurance. 3 Player Classification policy. To help us with classifying each team in the Conference, players are rated by USSSA Rule Book & Major List. For Example: A player on the Women s Major Player list is required to play on a team B or higher. Please use the USSSA Rulebook for classifications of any non-conference USSSA team. The total Women Major Player guideline below should be used in trying to determine your classification. Keep in mind that this is only a guideline and the classification of each team will be determined by the Conference USSSA Classification Committee. AA 5 or more players that appear on the Women s Major Player List. A 2 or more players that appear on the Women s Major Player List. B 1 player that appears on the Women s Major Player List. C No Major Players. To assist you in determining classification, the current Women s Major Player list and Watch list are available on the USSSA website at WomensMajorPlayerList.htm To appeal placement, a player must Strojan Kennison at Strojan.Kennison@usssa.com or Clay Dickey at Clay.Dickey@usssa.com. This should eliminate the confusion of team classification throughout the year and make for even better parity amongst teams at our World Tournaments Schedule: There will be only two (2) Dual events this year, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and Kent, Washington. There will be eight (8) Conference Tournaments designated Special Point events, they are both Duals (SC & WA), Manteca (CAN), Columbus (OH), Chattanooga (TN-Choo Choo) and North Branford (CT). These events will give five (5) points per Women s Conference USSSA team extra that are registered into an event. The World Tournament dates for 2018 are: Women s A September Women s AA September Women s Major September Women s B September Women s C September 26-27

4 Women s Conference USSSA 2018 Membership Information ***Based on 24 Teams - $800 per Team*** Enter Event and/or Send Team Schedule To: cusssa.womens@usssa.com The top 15 teams will be seeded 1-15 at the Women s USSSA Major 16th team will come from the USSSA United States Military Worlds Women s All-Conference USSSA team and awards announced at World Series Rosters MUST be online prior to 1st Conference event Top 8 teams in points receive 10 room nights at the Women s Major-Based on 24 Teams Any roster moves after August 20th and must be approved by the NCC All events will be double elimination format Women s AA, A, B, & C worlds will be seeded by Conference Team points first Women s Conference USSSA teams get team insurance for all rostered athletes World Tournament participation: o o o Conference A teams receive a paid berth into both the USSSA Women s A World Tournament and the Women s Major World Series (If they qualify). Conference B receive a paid berth into both the USSSA Women s B World Tournament and the Women s Major World Series (If they qualify). Conference C receive a paid berth into both the USSSA Women s C World Tournament and the Women s Major World Series (If they qualify). Classification determined by Conference Committee Locked rosters to protect your team and players Standard Softballs & Bat Testing at EVERY Conference Tournament Premier Umpires Select Conference Tournaments Broadcast on USSSA Live or equivalent Conference Awards awarded at the Men s Major World Series Home Run Derby After the USSSA Women s Last Chance Major tournament, the highest finishing Women s Conference USSSA in points AA, A & "B" teams will receive 500 points towards their open class point total.

5 After the completion of the USSSA Women s Last Chance Major tournament, the top 15 teams by Conference points qualify for the Women s Major World Series in Viera, FL at our USSSA National Headquarters. USSSA Women s Major World Series Top 8 qualified teams regardless of class determined by points earn a paid berth to the Women s Major World Series at USSSA Space Coast Stadium Complex will receive 10 room nights for the Women s Major World Series. Each team will receive Hotel Rooms for a total of 10 room nights. Awards Ceremony at the Men s Major World Series Home Run Derby USSSA Women s AA, A, B & C World Series Lodging information for these events is forthcoming. ***This is based on a minimum of 24 Conference teams as of the USSSA Women s Last Chance Major tournament. The final top number of teams awarded 10 room nights could be modified based on the total at that time***
