1 Welcome to the 2018 USSSA Fastpitch National Championships. The National Championship tournament will be held July 9th-14th, 2018.

2 Tournament Facility Locations and Policies: Smoking will only be allowed in designated areas in parks, mostly the parking lots. There will be signage at the entrance to the ball fields stating that smoking is prohibited in all park areas other than the parking lots. 3 Tournament Format: This event will be a 5 Game Guarantee event. Teams will be seeded into pools based on current USSSA ranking points and play a round robin style event for pool play games. All teams will be seeded into a double elimination championship bracket following pool play. Seeding for the championship bracket will be based on pool play finish. Tournament Rules: All playing rules shall be governed by the official USSSA Fastpitch Softball Rule Book and national by-laws. Note that the rulebook online at will always supersede the latest printed version if a discrepancy exists. All team rosters must be submitted on the USSSA website and must be the same roster that was submitted into your state/area director when your team qualified for this event. Failure to comply with this rule will result in your team s removal from the event. All players participating shall have proof of age in possession of their team manager at all times. Proof of age must be verified by a government issues document that identifies the player by name, gender, and birth date. Failure to produce a copy of such document upon deemed and/or deemed fraudulent by a tournament official will result in the offending team losing the game, being eliminated from the tournament, being placed last in the standings, and forfeiting all awards, sponsor s travel money, and tournament berths that would have been awarded at the tournament.

4 Qualifying Information: You will need to check with your team s USSSA State Director with regards to qualification requirements to attend this event. A list of contact information for all USSSA State Directors can be found at the link listed below: Entry Information: To guarantee your team a spot in this event, your team will need to complete the online entry process. All entries must be made through the USSSA website. You will be required to submit your entry and payment online. After submitting your entry and payment your entry will be subject to approval by your state director. Once approved, your entry will be considered complete for this National Championship event. Official entry and payment must be completed no later than June 25 th, 2018.

5 Team Entry Fee: $595 Gate Admission Price at Complex: Adult: $10/day $40/ tournament pass Children: $5/day $20/ tournament pass These admission fees include everyone except players and team coaches. A maximum of 3 coach passes will be issued for the National Championship event. Player passes will only be issued to those listed on the submitted roster. Teams will have the opportunity to pre-order tournament passes as a team or they can be purchased individually at the gate. Tournament passes will also be available at Opening Day, though a pass is not required for any of the Opening Day activities. The Gate Pass order form is on the next page. 6 Lodging Information: Midwest Sports Productions has partnered with Traveling Teams to assist our out of town teams with hotel accommodations. For our National Championship events, we ask that all out of town teams reserve their hotel accommodations through Traveling teams. 8 Skills Competition Form: On Monday, we will be having a Skills Competition at the Branson Rec Plex. This event is an opportunity for the kids to compete and have fun with the players from across the region at this event. The forms are available for the coach to fill out and bring to the Competitions on Monday. This should be a fun event for the kids and a great opportunity for everyone to be involved. 9 Gift Exchange: There will be a non-mandatory team gift exchange during one of your pool play games. Teams wishing to participate should bring something that is representative of their home area, the value of which is not important. It is recommended that teams bring a minimum of 16 gifts to exchange. Some example of gifts to exchange are spray bottle, sunflower seeds, neck wraps, insulated water bottles, water flavor packets, gum, softball necklaces, ect. We ask that you RSVP to Fastpitch@playmsp.com by June 26 th if your team wishes to participate in the gift exchange. Please include in your which National Championship event you are attending and how many players will be participating. This allows us time to coordinate everyone and be sure that teams trading have a partner that will exchange in return.
