CBS will carry the regional television broadcast, including WTVF-Channel 5 in Nashville. The radio broadcast can be heard on Titans Radio flagship WKDF as well as over 80 Titans Radio affilliate stations. Last week, the Titans hosted the Baltimore Ravens at LP Field. The Titans jumped out to a 26-7 lead in the first half, but the Ravens scored 20 unanswered points to win the game by a final score of A career-high 211 passing yards by quarterback Vince Young and 100-yard performances by running back Travis Henry (107 rushing yards) and wide receiver Drew Bennett (115 yards) were not enough to defeat former Titans quarterback Steve McNair, who passed for 373 yards and three touchdowns for the Ravens. It was the Titans fourth loss of the season by seven points or less and their second one-point loss. In the game, Titans Head Coach Jeff Fisher became the 27th head coach in NFL history to reach 200 career games, including playoffs, and the 12th coach in league history to reach the mark with one team. Second only to Pittsburgh s Bill Cowher in head coaching tenure with his current team, Fisher s career record dating back to 1994 is , including a regular season record and 5-4 postseason mark. Fisher will try for his 100th regular season win this week against the Eagles. It will be the first matchup between the Titans and Eagles since 2002, when the Titans prevailed in a contest at LP Field. The Titans last visited Philadelphia in 2000, when they won by a final score of on a last-second field goal at Veterans Stadium. The game will be the team s third of the season against a team from the NFC East. Earlier this year, the Titans lost to the Dallas Cowboys at home and went on the road to defeat the Washington Redskins. Under Fisher, the Titans have a.714 (10-4) winning percentage against teams from the NFC East, Fisher s second-best percentage against any of the eight divisions in the NFL. The Eagles are coming off a convincing 27-3 victory over the Washington Redskins. They currently trail the New York Giants (6-3) in their divisional race by one game. Each of Philadelphia s four losses was by seven points or less, including three consecutive losses in October. The Eagles are led by eighth-year quarterback Donovan McNabb, who through his first nine games is third in the NFC in passing, completing 174 of 303 passes for 2,534 yards, 17 touchdowns and just five interceptions (96.6 rating). Three members of the Eagles are former Titans -- defensive ends Jevon Kearse and Juqua Thomas and right tackle Jon Runyan. However, Kearse, the 1999 Defensive Rookie of the Year with the Titans, suffered a knee injury earlier this season and was placed on injured reserve. A TITANS VICTORY WOULD... Improve Jeff Fisher s career record as head coach to Give Fisher his 100th regular season win. Improve the Titans all-time record against the Eagles to 3-6. Give the Titans their third consecutive win over the Eagles. Give rookie quarterback Vince Young a 3-4 record as a starting quarterback.

They scored 20 unanswered points, winning the game on an 11-yard touchdown pass from former Titans quarterback Steve McNair to former Titans wide receiver Derrick Mason. McNair, who was making his first appearance at LP Field since being traded to the Ravens during the offseason, passed for a season-high 373 yards and three touchdowns in the game. The Titans took the opening possession 66 yards and scored on a 21- yard field goal by Rob Bironas. The Ravens responded quickly with a 65- yard touchdown pass from McNair to Mark Clayton three plays later. The scoring continued on Tennessee s next possession with an eight-play, 64- yard drive highlighted by a 30-yard run by Travis Henry and capped by a two-yard touchdown run by quarterback Vince Young. The Titans went three-and-out on their next possession. However, Craig Hentrich s 48-yard punt was downed by Cortland Finnegan on the Baltimore two-yard line. That led to a safety three plays later when McNair was forced out of the back of the end zone by defensive tackle Tony Brown and linebacker Keith Bulluck. A 37-yard pass from Young to Drew Bennett put the Titans in scoring position again on their next drive. On a third-and-seven at the Baltimore 13-yard line, Young was about to be sacked but fought off the Ravens defenders long enough to flip the ball to tight end Bo Scaife, who then ran for a 13-yard touchdown. The first of two interceptions on the day by Titans safety Lamont Thompson then gave the team possession on the Baltimore 29-yard line. Seven plays later, Henry scored a one-yard touchdown. It was Tennessee s fourth time scoring in their first five offensive drives. The Ravens defense then took control of the game, not allowing the Titans to score again. McNair led two scoring drives during the remainder RB Travis Henry rushed for 107 yards and one TD against the Ravens. of the second quarter. An 80-yard drive was finished by a 30-yard touchdown pass to fullback Ovie Mughelli, and to close the first half, a 60-yard drive ended with a 27-yard field goal by Matt Stover. An unusual sequence of events in the third quarter continued to turn the tide in the direction of the Ravens. An apparent fumble by running back Mike Anderson was nullified when officials ruled that he was down by contact. A replay challenge revealed that it was a fumble but the ball could not be awarded to the Titans. Then on the Titans next offensive series, they attempted a fake punt. An hand-off from Donnie Nickey to Ben Troupe was fumbled. Although Troupe recovered and advanced for a first down, by rule the play was dead at the spot of the fumble, giving the Ravens the ball at the Tennessee 37-yard line. While the play would have been nullified based on a penalty that was declined, it resulted in a significant change of field position. The teams then exchanged interceptions before Stover connected on a 40-yard field goal. The Titans had two possessions in the fourth quarter after Mason scored the go-ahead touchdown. One drive resulted in a punt. With 1:50 left on the clock, Young and the offense took control again. An 18-yard reception by Bobby Wade and a 17-yard scramble by Young put the Titans in position for a 43-yard field goal with 42 seconds remaining. But the kick was blocked by Trevor Pryce to seal the game.

3 TITANS vs. EAGLES TITANS-EAGLES SERIES HISTORY This week s game marks the ninth meeting between the two franchises with the Eagles holding a 6-2 advantage in the series. The series dates back to more than 30 years ago when the two teams met on Nov. 12, 1972, in a game won by Philadelphia before 34,175 fans at the Houston Astrodome. The Eagles would go on to win the next five games in the series from However, the Titans were victorious against the Eagles in a nail-biting contest at Veterans Stadium on Dec. 3, The Titans defense collected five sacks against Eagles signal caller Donovan McNabb and Eddie George returned to his native home to rush for 101 yards to lead the offense. Al Del Greco kicked a career-high five field goals (26, 42, 22, 44, 50) including the game-winning 50-yarder on the final play of the game to give Tennessee their 10th win of the season en route to winning the AFC Central division for the first time in the Fisher era. The two teams last met in the 2002 season opener, when the Titans came back from a 14-point deficit to score 17 unanswered points and beat the Eagles Quarterback Steve McNair threw for 269 yards and two touchdowns, and George scored the game-winning two-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter to take the win for the Titans. After ending the six-game winning streak the Eagles held from the first meeting, the Titans now have a two-game winning streak in the series. TITANS-EAGLES: THE LAST MEETING Philadelphia Eagles 24 at Tennessee Titans 27 Sunday, September 8, 2002 LP Field, Nashville, Tenn Final Philadelphia Eagles Tennessee Titans In the 2002 season opener, quarterback Steve McNair completed 24 of 34 passes for 269 yards and two touchdowns and helped rally the Titans from a 14-point second-half deficit to defeat the Philadelphia Eagles by a final score of The Titans scored 17 unanswered points, including running back Eddie George s game-winning two-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter to defeat the previous season s defending NFC East Champions. The victory over the Eagles was the Titans ninth consecutive win versus the NFC East and seventh consecutive win versus the NFC at LP Field (then the Coliseum). Tennessee scored on its first possession of the game behind McNair, who completed each of his four passes for a combined 47 yards, including a 14-yard strike to George, who eluded two Eagles defenders en route to his ninth career receiving touchdown. The Eagles repsonded on their next two possessions, led by quarterback Donovan McNabb, sacks and forces a fumble against the Eagles. Rookie DE Carlos Hall records one of his three who completed touchdown passes to James Thrash (18 yards) and Duce Staley (seven yards) to give Philadelphia a 14-7 lead. After a 33-yard field goal from Joe Nedney made it in the second quarter, McNabb led the Eagles on an 11-play, 80-yard drive that resulted in his third touchdown pass of the game, a seven-yard stike to Chad Lewis to widen their lead to Tennessee cut the deficit to when Nedney kicked a 47-yard field goal and then scored on a two-yard touchdown pass from McNair to wide receiver Justin McCareins. McNair then directed a 14-play, 84-yard drive that culminated with George s second two-yard touchdown run of the game. The Titans capped the scoring with George s twopoint conversion run. Despite the victory, defensive end Jevon Kearse fractured the fifth metatarsal bone in his left foot on the second play of the game. However, rookie defensive end Carlos Hall contributed three of the team s six sacks in the game, their most ever in a season opener since 1982 when they accounted for eight sacks against the Cincinnati Bengals. Hall became only the second player in NFL history (Cleveland Browns LB Chip Banks at Seattle, 9/12/82) to collect three sacks in his first career game. With 1:19 to play in the fourth quarter, Hall recorded his final sack of the day, forcing a McNabb fumble that was recovered by Titans defensive end Kevin Carter to seal the victory. 7 TITANS vs. EAGLES FISHER COACHES IN 200th GAME When the Titans hosted the Ravens on Nov. 12, Titans Head Coach Jeff Fisher led the team for the 200th time in his head coaching career, including playoffs. No other coach in team history has reached the mark prior to Fisher, and only 26 other head coaches in NFL history have served as a head coach in 200 games. Fisher became the eighth active coach to reach 200 games. Patriots Head Coach Bill Belichick should join the group later this season. Of the 27 coaches in history with 200 games, 12 of them have coached 200 games with one team. The elite group includes George Halas, Tom Landry, Don Shula, Chuck Noll, Curly Lambeau, Bud Grant, Steve Owen, Bill Cowher, Joe Gibbs, Hank Stram, Marv Levy, and now Fisher. Of that list, all but Shula made it to 200 with their first head coaching job, making Fisher the 11th coach in NFL history to do so. All except Cowher and Fisher are members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The game also is an opportunity to reach another significant landmark. A win would give him the 100th regular season victory of his career. Second only to Pittsburgh s Cowher in head coaching tenure with his current team, Fisher s career record dating back to 1994 is , including a regular season record and 5-4 postseason mark. WHAT TO LOOK FOR THIS WEEK Head Coach Jeff Fisher will attempt to record his 100th regular season win. 8 FLOYD REESE AND THE TITANS DRAFT SINCE 1999 Under Floyd Reese, the Titans general manager since the start of the 1994 season, the Titans have consistently built the team through the draft. Reese, the only general manager in franchise history to eclipse 100 career wins, has engineered the selection of 13 different draft classes, included among them eight future Pro Bowlers. The past three years, the Titans have chosen a combined 34 players in the draft, the highest total in the NFL during that time span. Twenty-five of those Floyd Reese players are still on the roster. Since 1999 in particular, Reese has shown an aptitude for selecting players that would remain on NFL rosters for years to come. Of the 75 TITANS vs. EAGLES players Reese drafted from , 48.0 percent (36 players) are currently on the roster. That is the third-best percentage in the NFL behind only the Cincinnati Bengals (53.1 percent) and the Baltimore Ravens (51.6 percent). Nine other Titans draftees in that time span are now playing with other clubs, bringing the total count to 60.0 percent (45 players) of drafted players still on NFL rosters. That percentage is tied for 10th best in the league. Only 34.7 percent (26 players) of Titans draft picks are currently out of the NFL, meaning they are no longer on a team s roster or practice squad. The Titans rank eighth in the NFL in this particular category. 13 VINCE YOUNG / ROOKIE QBs VINCE YOUNG & RECENT ROOKIE PERFORMANCES In Week 4 against the Dallas Cowboys, Titans quarterback Vince Young became the first of the 2006 rookie class to start at quarterback. In Week 6, he and Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie Bruce Gradkowski, a sixth-round draft choice, became the first rookie quarterbacks to record wins. The group of quarterbacks that were drafted in rounds 1-3 includes Young, Matt Leinart (Round 1, Arizona), Jay Cutler (Round 1, Denver), Kellen Clemens (Round 2, NY Jets), Tarvaris Jackson (Round 2, Minnesota), Charlie Whitehurst (Round 3, San Diego) and Brodie Croyle (Round 3, Kansas City). 15 O-LINE / TIGHT ENDS TITANS OFFENSIVE LINE PRODUCTION Hall of Fame offensive lineman Mike Munchak began coaching the team s offensive line in Since that time, the unit has consistently been ranked in the top 10 in fewest sacks allowed, net rushing yards and average rushing yards. In only one season (2001) since taking over as offensive line coach have the Titans finished the season not ranked in the top 10 in any of the three categories. This year the offensive line added center Kevin Mawae, a six-time Pro Bowler in his 13th NFL season. Mawae spent the last eight seasons with the New York Jets after playing his first four seasons with the Seattle Seahawks. During his Jets career, the 6-foot-4, 289-pound center helped Jets running backs to yard games and paved the way for Curtis Martin to become the NFL's fourth all-time leading rusher. Martin eclipsed the 1,000-yard barrier in seven of the eight seasons Mawae was with the Jets. The offensive lineman with the most current experience with the Titans is right guard Benji Olson, a 6-4, 320-pound lineman in his ninth year with the team. Olson has played in more games as a member of the Titans than any other current player with the exception of punter Craig Hentrich. Jacob Bell, in his third season, has started at left guard since Zach Piller went out of the lineup with an ankle injury. He started the season at right tackle. In 2004, he started 14 games at left guard in place of Piller. The starters on the outside are Michael Roos and David Stewart. Roos, a second-round draft pick in 2005, started 15 games as a rookie at right tackle before switching to the left side for Stewart, a 2005 fourthround pick, did not play as a rookie but now is entrenched at right tackle. The chart below details the team s regular starters on the offensive line since 1997, the year Munchak took the reigns as the team s offensive line coach, and the results the line helped produce. 21 OFFENSE / CAREER STATS OFFENSIVE ANALYSIS Offensive Coordinator: Norm Chow -- 2nd NFL Season, 2nd with Titans In 2005, the Titans offense ranked 17th overall in the NFL under first-year coordinator Norm Chow. The team was ranked ninth in the league in passing. In 2006, Chow primarily will direct two quarterbacks at two different stages of their careers. Vince Young, the third-overall draft choice who Norm Chow led the University of Texas to a National Championship in 2005 with his magnificent combination of passing and running ability, is now the Titans starter after taking over the job in Week 4. He is joined by veteran Kerry Collins, who enters 2006 ranked third among active quarterbacks in passing yards. He has played with four teams in 11 previous seasons (Carolina, New Orleans, NY Giants, Oakland). The team has a stable of talented running backs, with incumbents Chris Brown and Travis Henry joined by second-round draft selection LenDale White. Brown has led the team in rushing in each of the previous two seasons. Henry, acquired in 2005 in a trade with the Buffalo Bills, is the senior-most member of the group and has more than 4,000 career rushing yards to go along with a Pro Bowl selection. White, a two-time National Champion from USC, set the school s all-time rushing touchdown record last season. Undrafted rookie Ahmard Hall (Texas) serves as the team s fullback. The Titans tight ends group in 2005 was one of the most prolific in NFL history, combining for 149 receptions, second in NFL history for a group of tight ends. The most productive members of that group returned in starters Erron Kinney and Ben Troupe, along with second-year player Bo Scaife. However, Kinney was placed on injured reserve on Oct. 13. Casey Cramer was claimed off waivers at the end of the 2006 preseason, and third-year tight end Ben Hartsock was claimed off waivers from the Indianapolis Colts prior to the seventh game of the season. Starting wide receiver Drew Bennett, the 10th-leading receiver in franchise history, will be joined in the lineup by former New England Patriot David Givens, one of the team s major acquisitions in free agency who offers big-play potential and a wealth of playoff experience. Other members of the deep group include Brandon Jones, Courtney Roby and Roydell Williams, all of whom were drafted in 2005 and each posted 21 or more receptions; and Bobby Wade, a late 2005 waiver wire pick-up from Chicago who also is in his fourth season. Jonathan Orr is a sixth-round draft pick out of the University of Wisconsin. Only one member of the offensive line is playing in the same spot where he played in Ninth-year veteran Benji Olson has started all but one game at right guard since the start of the 1999 season. The starting left guard at the beginning of the season, Zach Piller, suffered a season-ending ankle injury in the third game of the season. Third-year lineman Jacob Bell is now in that spot. Kevin Mawae, a 13-year veteran and six-time Pro Bowler, was signed in the offseason to provide stability to the line at center. Second-year tackle Michael Roos moved to left tackle after starting 15 games at right tackle in At right tackle is David Stewart, now in his second season. Eugene Amano provides valuable depth at all three interior line positions, while Justin Geisinger backs up Mawae at center. 22 DEFENSIVE ANALYSIS DEFENSE / CAREER STATS Defensive Coordinator: Jim Schwartz -- 14th NFL Season, 8th with Titans (6th as coordinator) In 2005, the Titans defense ranked 19th overall in the NFL under coordinator Jim Schwartz, who directed one of the youngest defenses in the NFL, including two rookie starters at cornerback. The defensive starters averaged 3.5 years of experience but still had top-10 finishes in third down defense (35.5%), sacks (41) and three-andouts (31.3%). Jim Schwartz Pacman Jones and Reynaldo Hill, first- and seventh-round draft choices in 2005, respectively, earned starting roles at cornerback, making them only the second rookie duo in team history to become regular starters at the position. They are joined this season by seventh-round draft pick Cortland Finnegan (Samford), who is set to contribute as a nickel back; fourth-year cornerback Andre Woolfolk; and Eric King, who in his second season was claimed off waivers from Buffalo. Michael Waddell is on the reserve/non-football injury list. At safety, Lamont Thompson has started each of the past two seasons at free safety and will continue his role there in his fifth NFL season. He is joined at strong safety by former Pittsburgh Steeler Chris Hope, a key signing in free agency in 2006 with two years of starting experience. Thompson and Hope will be backed up by fourth-year veteran Donnie Nickey, fourth-round draft choice Calvin Lowry and second-year player Vincent Fuller. One of the team s biggest additions via free agency was to the linebacking corps. Fifth-year linebacker David Thornton was signed from the Indianapolis Colts to step into the left outside linebacker position. He will play opposite Keith Bulluck, who plays at right outside linebacker and has led the team in tackles each of the past four seasons. Peter Sirmon, a starter at left outside linebacker since 2002, moves to middle linebacker in Fourth-round draft choice Stephen Tulloch (N.C. State) is a middle linebacker that also sees action on special teams. In his third season, Colby Bockwoldt was claimed off waivers from New Orleans, where he started every game in Fifth-round draft pick Terna Nande and seventh-round pick Spencer Toone serve as back-ups and play special teams, while Ken Amato serves primarily as the team s long snapper. Third-year linebacker Robert Reynolds was placed on injured reserve after eight games. At left defensive end, Kyle Vanden Bosch was re-signed in 2006 after being selected to his first Pro Bowl in He was fourth in the NFL in 2005 with 12.5 sacks. Travis LaBoy and Antwan Odom shared starting duties on the right side in 2005, and both return for their third seasons. Second-year end Josh Savage was claimed off waivers prior to the season from the Atlanta Falcons. Former San Diego Charger DeQuincy Scott, in his fifth NFL season, was signed prior to the seventh game of the season. The starting defensive tackle duo for the previous two seasons, Albert Haynesworth and Randy Starks, is back again in Haynesworth has more games and starts than any other member of the defensive line. Starks has valuable experience but is still one of the youngest members of the team at 22 years old. Prior to the start of the season, the Titans welcomed back former teammate Robaire Smith, who spent the previous two seasons with Houston after playing his first four seasons in Tennessee. Jesse Mahelona, a fifth-round draft choice from Tennessee, provides depth at the position, as does Tony Brown, a second-year player who was signed prior to the fifth game of the season. Rien Long was placed on injured reserve early in training camp.
